!!!!! Weightloss challenge for December :)

Tina - It's good to know that I am not the only one that puts in a couple of DVDs trying to figure out what I feel like doing that day :) I can see your kitties playing with the egg cups - and you could use that as more opportunities to lunge MORE, go DEEPER - k, done channeling Cathe :)

Sue - GREAT JOB on the pushups! I did my first round of STS without my turbo bar and was always down on myself because my shoulder won't take the pull ups on my ab/chin up tower. I think I may try STS again now that I have the turbo bar and see if I can do semi-reclining pull-ups and build up from there ;) I love the resistance tubing, too! Much, much easier on the shoulder...Let's see what X-Train brings!

My foot is getting better, the swelling is down, but I can't flex my foot without pain - I just walk downstairs like a crab and all is well. I just keep icing and ibuprofen-ing :D. I will be finding another strength workout to do today.

Shereta - how are you doing unplugged?

Have a great Wednesday!!!

This morning was Cyclemax and STS No Equip. abs and BC upper and lower only premix. There's a debate between DH and I about which spin workouts are tougher. He thinks the Spinervals are more difficult, but my vote is on Cyclemax. The puddle under my bike is all the proof I need. Bigger puddle=bigger smile. I can't wait for Xtrain Ride!! : )

Elle, sorry to hear you're still suffering. I'd be getting cranky by now if it were me. Are you going to have it checked by the Dr?

Where are the rest are the troops? I miss everyone. : (

Nah - I avoid Dr's this time of year - there are sick people there :)

The swelling is definitely down, and this morning I did Turbo Fire Upper, TF Lower and TF Core, then 30 min on the mat...

Glad you are enjoying your spin debates with your hubby! I never opened Cycle Max 'cause I don't have a spin bike, but I'm sure that Cathe has all the quality that she does in the rest of her workouts.

I miss the rest, too, maybe it's that time of the year where we are all extremely busy busy....

Hi Sue!

Hi ladies! I'm behind on everything - including STS. I should have done D16 yesterday but I had some repetitive stress pain in my left arm/wrist, plus a knot on my back, left side also. I was stressed out about falling behind but decided that everything will all get done if I keep plodding along. It's late but I may do D16 tonight.

Tina how little sleep are you getting? My body takes 8 hours, I'm just about guaranteed to wake up naturally 8 hours after falling asleep. Anything less and I'm not a pleasant person. I used to feel guilty about it until recently with all the press about how good sleeping is for you.

Elle I hope your foot starts feeling better, way to adapt and get your workouts in anyway!

Happy 12-12-12!

Thursday Cookie Time!

I did Step Heat this morning on an 8" step - I figured that would be good to try my foot on. It felt pretty good!

Sue - thanks for the encouragement - I hope your arm/wrist pain feels better soon and the knot works out. Did you work out last night?

Now I'm off to make pinwheels and sugar cookies - today is prep day, tomorrow is baking and decorating!

Have a great day!
Elle

Sue, better to be a little behind and let your pain heal. You'll catch back up. : )

Elle, are you tall? Step Heat on 8" sounds tough. I haven't done that one in ages, but I remember it moving quick. Good luck with those cookies, dangerous things those buggers can be.

This morning was Kickbox Xtreme followed later with Atheltic Training. I feel really good now, nice and worked out. Tomorrow or Saturday will be a day off.

Hi All -

Tina - I don't think I'm tall - I'm a bit over 5'6"... Step Heat was using 2 risers and I try to use what they are using, and I can get into my training zone a little easier with 2 risers. I still need to look up to see if 2 risers on the old style step is the same height as 2 on the new Club step (the black and grey one that I have). Maybe I am making life hard for myself :D

Sue - hope you are feeling better today...

I was totally bad today - only went for a walk with hubby and then went out and weeded the lawn and listened to NPR and was sad over the shootings in CT.

Have a good weekend and see you Monday -
Elle

PS - we went to Chammps for lunch today and I thought I would be good and have a Cal Turkey Wrap. When I looked up the calories at home I thought I would die - 1475 calories (this is a little less than my ENTIRE DAY), with 96 g of fat. My goodness....

I posted earlier, but I must have been too quick shutting my page down. This morning was Imax 2, I'd forgotten how much I love this workout. DS and I also did BC upper and lower premix. He really is making small improvements over time. I'm hoping there is an Xtrain premix he would like to try.

Elle, a turkey wrap at 1475 sounds insane. Was it huge? That would take three hours on the bike to burn up. I hope it was yummy! DD works at Dunkin Donuts (I almost typed DD) and she told me how many calories were in a Dunkaccino, I almost fell off my chair. I won't order one of those again! Sometimes we're better off not knowing.

So heartsick for all of those families affected today. My friend lives in the neighboring town, and I waited hours to hear if they were all okay. Thankfully they're all fine.

Heading to work for a few hours, I have Stephen King's 11/22/63 ready to listen to. I need something to take my mind off of todays tragedy.

Elle - How is your foot feeling? Still better? Wow, pushing 1500 calories in a wrap! I can't decide if I'd rather not know how fattening eating out is. I do it so seldom and knowing the calorie counts kind of spoils it.

Tina let me know what you think of the book, I might want to try it. You're doing great on workouts, how about your diet? Me, afraid of the scale right now :)

I finally did D16 this morning. I've had a PMS week, pain in my left arm and back and perhaps a bit of SAD from no sunshine. I totally slacked off on working out so the lack of endorphins contributed to a lackluster week.

Then I heard the news yesterday and nothing seemed to matter. It boggles my mind how a small number of extremely broken people can unleash such horror to affect so many people. My heart goes out to the families of the victims.

Today was a rest day. I'm hoping we can get outside to ride tomorrow morning. Meso 3 starts on Monday. Timing on the new workouts may be perfect for me.

Sue, I hope you're feeling better soon. Sometimes a few days off can do wonders. My diet is like a rollercoaster right now. One day it's great, the next it's horrible. I gained 3 pounds over Thanksgiving, and have only managed to take off 1.5. Maybe when I hit major panic mode this week, and have to buckle down and do marathon Christmas shopping, the other 1.5 will come off. I have a very bad case of "bah-humbug" this year.

So far, 11/22/63 is really good. It's a long read, so I'm only about a third of the way through. One of the women in our book group already finished it, and she said it was one of her favorites from this year.

Tina I'm feeling better, just some tightness in my neck now. Your weight gain might be normal monthly fluctuations, I'm sure in a week or two you'll be back down to pre-Thanksgiving numbers :). I'm thankful that I only have one person left to shop for.

Today was 30/30, I've lost some cardio endurance in a very short time. Need to get my behind off the couch! Doing STS every other day until the end of the month will keep me on schedule for finishing M2 on time.

Hi to Elle & Melanie :)

Yesterday was a snowy bike ride. It wasn't very fast due to safety reasons. Today was M3D25, Wgts and Plates abs and 40/20. I'm really missing our intense weekend rides, so I'm trying to add more cardio during the week.

Hope you all are doing well. : )

Tina

Hi all! Today was D17 legs. My left side is falling apart! Left knee pain pretty much throughout the workout. My left foot points out a bit naturally, when I corrected and pointed my toes forward there was left less discomfort. Funny I haven't experienced this until now.

I took a 3 mile walk after dinner last night. When I first started losing weight that was my daily workout - 3 miles after dinner rain or shine. I love listening to music and daydreaming the whole time. Sometimes I sing (badly), pretty sure some neighbors think I'm crazy. I'm going to try to keep that up at least through this month - the walking, not the crazy.

Tina I guess a snowy slow ride is better than not huh?

Have a great week busy ladies!

Today was Kickbox Surge and 4DS Kickbox cardio only premix.

Sue, I swear by walking for losing weight. I can tell if I skip a few days. I love that you're singing while you walk! The weather has been pretty nasty here, so no walk last night and it doesn't look good for tonight either. I'm thinking I may start my Christmas shopping after dinner, and just put some omph in my step at the mall (blech).

I'm psyched for plyo legs tomorrow, my favorite part of STS!

Hi to Melanie, Elle and Shereta. Hope you're all doing well. : )

I woke up feeling lucky today so I hopped on the scale, no movement! Then decided to measure and I've lost .25 inch on my hips, .5 inch on my waist, that's from the start of STS and after tomorrow's workout I'll be half way through. I'm pretty pleased about those numbers, especially the waist, it needs to keep going down!

Today I attempted intensity, step only. I got through the first step portion but on the 2nd there were so many lunge/squat like moves after yesterday's leg workout it just wasn't happening. I think future leg days need to be followed by stretch or very upright cardio :) I also did my after dinner walk, that's 3nights in a row.

Tina did you get out to the mall tonight? You can use your kickbox skills on the rude shoppers out there - just kidding!!! :)

waving hi to all the ladies! :)

Today was M3D26 plyo legs. I had doms by lunch time. : / Felt every step of our after dinner walk tonight.

Sue, that's awesome you're losing inches. I'd much rather have that, than have the scale moving. My scale isn't moving either, but it's not going up, so I'm fine with it.

I have about 1/3 of my shopping done, and have started wrapping. Go me!

Oh Sue, where are you? Is it just me and you now? We need to recruit more folks. I hope you're doing well. : )

Today was M3D27 and STS yoga abs. It's going to be hard to finish this last Meso with Xtrain on the way. I'm going to stay strong, and just complete it like I promised myself. I can do the cardios though! : )

I'm here Tina! The others will be back after the hustle of the holidays. Home made caramel entered my life yesterday, today jalapeño toffee. I know how evil sugar is and my taste buds don't care. I'll have to work harder next week :) I'm behind on STS again, will do some back to back workouts. I'm still walking, it grounds me. Stay strong Tina! You're so close to finishing M3, you'll be Xtraining before you know it :) I just started stalking the clips today, I can't wait to try out the cardios too. Are you going to try out ride first?

Today I did D18 and shopped, wiped me out! my sugar consumption is off the rails, I feel a bit ridiculous checking in on the weight loss thread :) I hope you're all well! xoxo

Sue, don't be so hard on yourself. This is what New Years resolutions are all about. We'll have to share a list next week of what are plans are. Xtrain is going to be the perfect motivator.

Yesterday was kickboxing and abs. Today I'm spinning INSIDE. DH just left for an outside ride, I told him he's a bit soft, it's only 25 degress. I'll be doing Bending Crank Arms, which features our beloved Brenda.

Have a great day. : )

Tina

Correction: Brenda is in Lean and Mean. I ended up doing Dropping the Hammer. (Where do they come up with these titles?)
