Good Morning:)

Just getting ready to head home and thought I would check in first. Our computer is gone to the computer shop again and I don't know when it will be returned. So I won't be able to check in anymore until DH comes home with his computer tonight.

Im not sure what todays workout will be.I feel well rested (considering Im at work!}( ) but I think I will have to go to bed for a couple of hours when I get home...not to long though.

I will be back tonight to report!!

Edited to say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMELIA!!!" Enjoy your day!!!

Lori:)

I copied and pasted my 'novel',lol!

Good Morning girls,WOW can't believe the early birds haven't started the thread yet

Im planning on doing LIC today and I will use heavier weights than what I have been using! I think I have become stronger with my lifting because i haven't had any DOMS in a while

Im curious on what everybody is lifting(ok, being nosey)
bic's,tric's,shoulders=20 bb's/10pd Db's
back=25lb bb/10lb db's
Legs(lunges,squats)=25lb BB's

so today iam going heavier on my legs, back and not sure about ub...I think thats all I can handle thier!

Lori-Did you order your little boys clothes from ebay? I went walking last night! Walked 40mins-20 with ankle weights and then jogged the last twenty(well walk/jogged-mostly jogged )...I knew you'd be proud of me.Thanks for the B-day wishes:)

Belinda-Where are ya today? What workout you doing today? Im doing the shock your body rotation that you recommended, hopelly I will have the same success that you had!

Carrie-great workout yesurday,I could never get into yoga-tried it once but just felt awkward the entire time, perhaps I didn't have the right instructor! It would be so cool if Cathe would make a yoga workout, then I would be all over it!

Stacey-What workout are you doing today? My little girl waits everynight for me to tuck her in and read her a story,so cute! Enjoy your day!

Lainie-Morning,are your allergies still bothering you? My kids are on three kinds of allergy meds...this year is the first year that they have had such bad allergies! I think its the lack of rain! What workout are you doing today!

Cheryl-I hope your having a good day Hows the calorie counting going? Im struggling with all these T-day dinners and a wedding on saturday! If I can just get through the holiday season without gaining any weight I will be alright!(course I don't have a scale either,LOL) enjoy your day!

alright, gotta go get the kids up...bbl!

Good morning ladies,

My rotation calls for a 50 min. indoor or outdoor biking plus stretch. I have to switch my workouts around a little bit. Tomorrow I will go with my DH to a three day conference to Bernkastel-Kues! Today I will do a 60 min. step of choice instead. Not sure what step workout I will do?? Too many choices! LOL Tomorrow I will do the 50 min. bike ride at the hotel! They do have a gym!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMELIA!! Have a great day!

Lori what time do you get home from work?? Good night! Hope you get some sleep!

Big hallo's to the reat of the gang!!

Enjoy you workout and day!
Belinda

Belinda, great workout planned! Have a safe trip Bernkastel-Kues! I had to go back and make sure I typed everything correctly-yep,thats what I mean..20 barbell for bic's and tric's and 10lb dumbells(on a good day;-)) for both. Thanks for the b-day wishes!

I plan on going heavier on legs and back for the time being!Oh I forgot my chest,I lift 25lb barbell on my chest and I can ONLY do girl pushups:-((I won't be going up on that either, unless DH is here,LOL)

Oh,boy-I think its going to be one of those"temper tantrum" kind of days...Ds woke up on the WRONG side of the bedx(

ok,bbl gotta eat breakfast and get workout done!

Hi everyone. Just a quick note between dropping Isaac off at the bus stop and taking Ewan to nursery school.

My eating has been close to miserable lately so I'm buckling down today. I'm switching back to the Core plan on WW. I at least managed to have a Core breakfast, so that's a start. :) Sad, how I celebrate even getting through one meal. It didn't help when the kids and I were sick. I didn't have the energy to take extra time preparing healthy stuff and I wanted comfort food. Too bad I couldn't be the kind of sick that makes me not want to eat. :p No, that's wrong, I wouldn't want that kind of sick. When I taught high school for one year, I lost 25 lbs just because I was so sick to my stomach all the time from stress. I definitely wouldn't want to go through that again, even if I did lose weight.

This morning I have an appointment with a physical therapist (finally) about my ankle. I don't even know if it's necessary anymore, but I'm going anyway.

Lori, good luck fitting in some rest and a workout later.

Amelia, sounds like you're doing well with your workouts. I'm impressed that you can jog with ankle weights (of course my ankles are obviously weak so I can't even try). As for what I lift, let me try to list:
biceps: 27-32lb BB, 8-15lb DB (depends on the reps)
triceps: 12-15lb single dumbbell for overhead extension, 5-8 lb 2 DBs for skull crushers
shoulders: totally weak--5-8lb for most things, 2 12-lb DBs for overhead press
back=37lb BB/15-20lb DBs
Legs(lunges, squats)=used to be 32-37lb BB or 15lb DBs, but since the injury it's much lighter--like 17lb BB or 10 lb DBs

Yeah, my allergies are a constant annoyance. I once went to an allergist who put me on prescription Zyrtec, but it kept putting me to sleep, so I quit. I should probably see an allergist again some time and see if there's anything else I can try.

Hi Belinda! Your workouts always look so good that I consider just reading what you do every day and copying it. :p

Hello to Cheryl, Stacey, Carrie, & Cathy! Did I miss anyone?

Gotta run take Ewan to school!

ETA: Happy Birthday again, Amelia!

Hey girls, back from my workout..LIC is so much fun:)feels good to be all done!

Lainie,LOL I forget to mention that I took off my ankle weights to jog:+ There is NO WAY I could jog in those things...its hard enough power walk in them! Morning all!
Had a great elliptical workout last night, but unfortunately didn't have the energy to add on some pilates afterwards. That's okay, just happy to be getting back into it after being sick! Today is some strength training for me. I'll be doing Cathe's total body sculpt routine from BSBF and will also try to jump on the elliptical again. The plan is to get back on the step by the end of the week.

Amelia, Happy Birthday! I am really just starting out with weight training, so can't really post my weights for each body part at this point. I am hoping to get a barbell this year and think that will be really good for me. I can't WAIT to get LIC!!! My sis bought it for me for Christmas:)

Lori, how was work? Sorry about the computer, that's too bad. I hope it is up and working again soon. Hope you are able to get a little nap in today.

Belinda, hello! You're workouts are awesome as well, you all are such an inspiration to me:)

Lainie, sorry about the allergies! Ugh, I think my son is also suffering from those, we got a trial of Nasonex for him and it seems to help a bit. Good luck with the physical therapist and I hope it gives you some help for your ankle.

Hello to everyone else, hope I didn't miss anyone!

I'll report in tomorrow for my workout tonight;)

A couple of questions for you all...

Okay, I know I've asked this a bunch of times, but I'm just trying to make the best purchasing decision since Cathe's dvd are a bit expensive.

How do you all like Drill Max compared to LIC and BM2? I'm actually thinking of getting all 3, but just want to be sure.

Also, do you like 4DS as much as last year's series?

Thanks SOOOO much for the feedback!

Stacey, I don't like Drill Max as much as LIC or BM2 but that's a personal taste thing--I prefer step aerobics to drills or bootcamp style workouts, which is more what Drill Max is like. Drill Max is probably my favorite of those kinds of workouts, but I still don't do it as much as step aerobics or kickboxing.

I really like the 4DS though I haven't done a good rotation with it yet because I have so many new things to try. I don't know if I can compare it to last year's series because it's just a different concept. I'd say I like it better than CTX, which is similar since it's a 5-day split with cardio & weights every day. I prefer a 3- or 4-day split to a 5-day split anyway, but again that's a personal thing for me. I'd say the step workouts of the 4DS are even better than last year's stuff, except that they're so short, but there are also lots and lots of premix options which makes it super-versatile.

HTH,

Hi! Off to a late start today. But, I did clean my whole house (mopped floors, vacuum, laundry, dusted and cleaned my bathroom and toilet, which I hate). So it's been productive none the less.

Today is the legs and back workout, plus abripper. I wanted to run but it's really windy here. I will 'save' that for tomorrow.

Lori--how many more days of work? Do you work this weekend? Get some sleep. Glad to hear it worked out with ebay. How creepy someone was emailing you that wasn't the seller. I am definately glad to know that.

Amelia--Happy Birthday! Sneaky devil...but I can't blame you, I despise birthdays and lie about my age all the time. 'A woman who tells her age will tell anything'...that is what my mom says, who lies about her age also. I don't even know how old she is! Don't you just love LIC? LOVE IT!

Lainie--Core is good. I used to do points, that worked for me, but I think it's good to switch it up. Keeps the body guessing. I am a weight loss/stress person too. When I went thru a bad breakup I lost a ton of weight, my family got worried. But, that was one plus, to a bad situation. Lost weight without dieting.

Stacey--good job on the elliptical. I prefer BM2 and LIC to DM. I don't care for DM type w/o, myself. I also like last years series better that 4DS. I am actually thinking about putting mine up on ebay. But, I may be jaded, as I am all about p90x now. I may wait untill this is done and see what I feel.

Belinda--great workouts as per usual for you!

Hi Cheryl--hope you have a great workout.

Carrie

Stacey,I don't have DM so I can't really compare(typed repair instead of compare,LOL) it to LIC and BM2...But I can say that i LOVE,LOVE,LOVE lic and bm2 so there is my two cents;-)!

I didn't purchase the 4-day split, so can't help ya on that one either! But Iam all excited about STS,I WILL preorder that one;-)

Carrie-ok,now that your done with your house, can ya come and clean mine,LOL;-) I did get some cleaning in today, just the usual stuff! Good job on your workout!

so,no birthday cake for me today...I will eat some on saturday though(well a wedding cake)I think I will skip my cheat meal tommorrow and save it for the wedding too!

Thanks for the feedback on DM and the 4ds! Think I'll hold off on DM, not sure if I really want a bootcamp type workout at this point. Also, I've really seen a lot of mixed reviews of the 4ds, whereas mostly all the reviews I've seen of LIC and BM2 have been positive.

Okay, better finish cleaning my kitchen and change my baby's diaper;)

Hi Guys:)

I went to sleep after I got off of work. Just for an hour but thats all I needed I guess.I have felt good all day. DS was happy when I picked him up at the sitters but she said that he was perfect the whole time he was there.
Then he had a nice long nap this afternoon and I squeezed my workout in:) I did Imax 3 and B&G. Once again I put my HRM on and only had 25 cals burned by the time the first interval was over and thats including the warm up. Could there be other electicity interferring with the reading maybe? We have wireless internet and cordless phones. During the interval my HR was only 99. When i run outside my HR always reads 130-160, fairly high, but inside its like Im not even moving.

Amelia** I match Cathe during weight work and sometimes I go higher. For bics I use 15 lbs db, but very rarely do I use a bb cause I hate it. I use 15's and 12's for shoulders, 40 lbs bb for legs, 10's and 12's for tri's, 20's for back and 35 lbs bb, and for chest I use 15 lbs and 20 lbs plus I do all the push ups on my toes. Hope this helps. I can remember when I first started working out and my weights were alot lighter! Hope your enjoying your day...what did you get???

Stacy** Sounds like you had a good workout last night. Must take alot of motivation to get those workouts in after everyone is tucked in. Im usually ready for bed after everyone else as gone. I really enjoy BM2, if I had to pick between the 3 of them thats the one I would buy. There are a few premixes on that one and they are good!!!

Belinda** Sounds like you had a good workout today!!!

Cheryl** HOpe you check in sometime today!

Carrie** Yeah, that was weird about the ebay crap..oh well. Atleast I caught on. I don't know what info they would have retrieved once they got my mailing address. I don't know if I would have paid for a pretend item on ebay or if they would have had a way of getting my info on ebay.

Laine** Well, you have to be happy after each good meal, it starts in small steps. Do you still go to a weekly weigh in?

SMN replied to my email today and my dvds were shipped on Nov 8th...I don't know if they will be here this week though. I guess it all depends on Canadian costumes.

Hope everyone is having a good evening.
Lori:)

Lori, I switched back to WW online so I weigh myself at home. I lost my 25 lbs doing just online, then I joined meetings and stalled out. Not so much that meetings wouldn't work, I just kind of got complacent and I also had trouble actually making it to meetings. So I decided I might as well go back to just online.
