Good Morning Girls

Belina-I think we do have to sign a contract for a year at the gym,ive heard rumors at my college that there is also a 25% discount if you go to a certain gym...I need to check into to that! Have fun with S&L Bi tri's,i want the slow and heavy series-think those will be my next purchase!

Lori-I keep wanting to put and 'e' at the end of your name,don' know why? Excited about work? but-Fri,sat,and sunday...ick! and your right,thats a good way to get back in the swing of things!

Lainie-Hows Ewan today? If hes got the same stuff thats going around he should be better soon,I think my kids were sick for about 3days!(of course it went away and then came backx( ,they both had to take antibiotics to finally get rid of it for good!)

Cheryl-Do you allow yourself little more calories on the days you work out intense? Im planning on doing PH tommorrow and Im ALWAYS starving after doing that one-and it seems that im starving the rest of the day! Yesturday I did LIC and ate 100 more calories,I guess I shouldn't of but I figured it couldn't of hurt that much!I've been so good all week,im proud of myself-no cheating all week,not even a bite:) With counting calories and doing circuits Im sure to break this plateau!

so I turned in my p.s.t.a test yesterday and won't know if I did any good on it until next wednsday so thats that! My study buddy got alot of the same answers that I did(and she use to be a medical coder)so I thinking I didnt do too bad!

I had a good walk/run on the tm last night,Im so proud of myself;-) Even if I don't loose any pounds Im bound to loose some more inches this month with all this clean eating! Its not that hard to,just takes planning ahead!.....bbl
 
Good Morning:)

I went to bed early again last night. Around 10:30 and didn't get up till 7:30:) Although I woke a couple of times to stab DH in the ribs to make him stop snoring! I WAS NOT impressed!

Belinda, enjoy your workout. I never got into that series, I was always afraid it would bulk me up!

Amelia,ahhhh work! I think I had a dream about work last night. Im almost looking forward to it in a way....a weird way. Its going to be a nice change. I think if I were home for another 6 monthes I think I would be really ready for a change and be dying to get back at it. Most of the women in baby group have left their babies for some period. And most alnight, while the longest I have left him is when he as been asleep! and he didn't even know I was gone. Hope you get a good mark on your test!!!!!!

So a few things really burned me yesterday evening when i started thinking about stuff. When I go back to work, Im not on my same side of the scedule. Which means, I work with a different guy and I don't see the same girls. I liked my side of the shift. Everyone was good. Now this side is a different story. The guy I will be working with as a tendency to blow up...which to tell you the truth, Im not overly concerned about, and the girl who will be releiving me...is always f'in late! THAT..Im not cool with!;( The reason Im on this side is the girl who works it is having surgery, she as surgery ever yr..something is always wrong with her, but if you ask me, its brain surgery she needs! Anyway...if I went back to my own shift, I would have been off Christmas eve and day.Now that I am on the other side, I will be working both days;( This girl as surgery on Oct 30th, so Im sure she will be able to come back to work but I know she won't. when she had her tubes untied she claimed she almost died and was off for 3 monthes so there is no way she is gonna come back and work christmas. I have myself prepared for the fact that I may have to work my babies first christmas. Thing is, he doesn't know what christmas is all about yet and the other good thing is, even though I work all day on the eve (not a biggie) but when I go to work on christmas day I only have to be there a couple of hours and then I can go home again:) So its not that bad. I just can't beleive I am getting the crappy end of the deal!!!

Today I am planning a run. Its suppose to rain later but if I get out early enough I should escape it!

Lori-Bummer on woking christmas...your right though,atleast your son is still small so he want really know its christmas. Have fun with your run...wonderwoman;-)!!!

Hi everyone. DH is taking a leisurely morning at home today--well not leisurely exactly--it's more like he's working from home. I think he's going to his client's office later, though. It was nice because I could leave Ewan with him when I took Isaac to the bus stop.

Ewan is still sick but he's generally happy. He woke a few times the first half of the night and then gave me a few hours of rest. His fever spikes; I give him ibuprofen; it goes down; he's jolly again. It's sort of cycling like that. All I have planned for the day is a trip out to the post office to send a DVD for eBay. Then I have to do some housecleaning. Yesterday I did the new HIS workout and I really liked it, but today I'm going to rest my ankle and just do yoga or one of Cathe's stretching workouts.

Amelia, sounds like you're doing a great job with the counting calories and with working out. I'm sure you'll bust through that plateau. I was going to WI yesterday but with Ewan sick I ended up just doing the grocery shopping. Luckily he was in a good mood and acted really well while I did the shopping. It's amazing how much easier and faster it is to shop with one kid than two--and of course even easier and faster if I can go alone.

Lori, I wish you the best on the work situation. Just remember the worst case scenarios don't have to happen--it could be better than you expect. It sounds like overall you have a great attitude anyway.

Belinda, how do you like Slow and Heavy? I own them but have only done Legs and Shoulders (which I combined with part of the Gym Styles one time). I think I've been a little intimidated by the "heavy" part because I didn't even have a lot of heavier weights to use. But now I have at least up to 20s so maybe I'll try it again some time. Right now I have so much new stuff to try first, though.

Just got back from a 83 mins run. I ran a little bi of a different route with hopes of not running into my running partner...I know...I know...Im A BI&^H! She was calling here again today so I took off as fast as I could! LOL I burned 840 cals!

Laine, I think Ewan will be feeling much better tonight. Those bugs usually last for 24-48 hours and in the evening or early morning they seem to be gone. Ill keep my fingers crossed for ya!

Okay, Lori, must have missed the chapter about your running partner... I'm not sure why you needed to avoid her, but I'm sure there's good reason - and hurray for any incentive that gets 840 calories burned!

As for Christmas day - hallelujah that it's just for a few hours and that your baby is still so small. It'll all be fine. Bummer, though, to have to think about right now.

Belinda, awesome workout! Hat's off to you!

Lainie, I sure hope Lori's right about Ewan feeling better tonight. Here's extra hugs to you today.

Amelia, I'm eating an average of 1200 calories right now but allowing myself up to two cheats a week which can take the calories up to no more than 1500 on those two days. It seems to be working. Slow and steady, but hopefully a lifestyle change that's PERMANENT. I see myself being able to add about 500 calories a day to maintain when I hit perfect weight, but other than that, I don't see anything changing.

Today my running partner didn't feel well so we only went 3 miles. I'm doing Higher Intensity Step for the first time. So far, loving it (stopped after combo and blast #1 to get a Power Bar for breakfast and to post). I think these new workouts will be really fun. I'm jazzed. I'm also hoping the Kickbox segment is another good option to take for hotel workout days, because I could do double cardio and have a workout that wouldn't require equipment for those days.

Anyway, so glad it's THURSDAY, which is almost FRIDAY!!!

Hey girls, Im done with my workout-Im kinda mad at myself-I only did thirty mins of the timesaver premix on BM2:-(! I just tuckered out,guess it was all that energy I put into that test yesterday!

Im serously thinking about adding to my daily supplements,right now I only take a hair,skin,and nail multi-viatimin. I think i will add a fish oil supplement and maybe some whey protien on the days I do those tough workouts!

Lainie-I know what you mean about grocery shopping with kids,I either go by myself or dh and i go together(with one bugy full of kids and one bugy full of grociers,LOL)I hope your little guy gets to feeling better.

Lori-I too would rather walk by myself,its kinda of a therapy for me. I quit going to a local park in the mornings because there was a lady there that wanted to walk with me,she was very nice but,like I said early,would rather walk by myself.

Cheryl-I like your strategy on the calories,I think I will do that.On the days I do the more intense workouts I will eat the high end of my calorie intake(1600,and twice a wk) and 1300 on my rest days and easier days. I wonder if I should give up my 'much loved' cheat meal(a meal that i allow myself to eat whatever I've been craving,usually pizza,but I don't over do it)

My doctor's appointment is now scheduled for next Wednesday morning--Halloween. The ankle is not too bad--sometimes I wonder if I still need to see a doctor, but it still gives me pain sometimes so I figure I'd better make it's not a worse injury than I thought. It could be that it's finally getting better but it's sure taking it a long time.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts about Ewan. I just hope he takes a nap today as I need the break!

Oh, and would you believe I now have over 3500 hits on my fitness blog?!? I got over 700 in 24 hours after I posted the updated weight worksheets. I guess it's mostly Cathe-ites who see my signature on the forums. i told my husband about all the hits and he said I should try to find some way to make money off it. Typical accountant, I guess.
