Fabulous Friday Ladies!

Up at 2:25am thanks to 2 of 3 dogs feeling frisky. Is this whats its like having 3 kids all different ages? Good thing I was sound asleep early last night!

We decided we're heading to Bay for the weekend so I'll be out of touch this weekend... Hope everyone makes it a terrific one!

Before leaving I have Gym Styles Chest & Triceps & Ab work to do + a Yoga DVD I rented Yoga Zone Essentials Fat Burning w/ Alan Finger. I really like his gentle spirit and the flow of his beginners so thought I'd rent instead of buy.

I need cardio stuff on Bay weekends as I have no equipment there except a step & a tube.
**Saturday I have P90 Sweat Series : Sweat 5/6 lots of interval-ish work
**Sunday will be Kick Max I need cardio stuff on Bay weekends as I have no equipment there except a step & a tube.

Amy: :eek: Glad to hear you went to WI and are OK with the 2#s! Keeping it all in perspective is so important girl! You did good doing what you could of Imax 3. Sometimes the body just doesnt follow the mind.

Cheryl: :eek: Well my dear you seem to have some very exciting times ahead! I dont envy the "process" of going out on your own but also know that some people are destined to do just that. Whatever you decide (timing is so important) just know deep inside that you have the passion, commitment and intelligence to make it work. I have alot of faith in you!

Teddygirl: :eek: No worries on sporadic workout week... Each dawn is anew day and its not like you only have a week to work out...You're a lifer at this too so a few off days are not going to derail you or your goals. Have a fabulous weekend.... Think moderation!!

Lori: :eek: I am sooooo sorry about you not feeling well! it puts such a damper on big plans. Just take care of yourself, eat right to heal and get plenty of rest.

Jane: :eek: Hope all is well... Enjoy an UNEVENTFUL weekend!

Gidget: :eek: YES I am an early bird. Never have used an alarm clock in my life except as back up if I had an early flight etc... Sleeping past 4am is a rarity but I really love being up early before the hub-bub of day begins. Living in a big city the stars are best seen in the wee AM hours (I have my coffee outside almost every day) when the pollution has lifted a bit from day before. Hope you enjoyed your social activities yesterday! A night off from cooking? OH YEAH!! Very excited that scale is showing new trends. Seems every 8 #s or so I just go back & forth for 4-6 weeks before breaking thru a barrier... You are doing so well!

Claude: Hope you stop in to say all is well!

Belinda::eek: LOL about son... I recall those feelings like they were yesterday! I think they call it FREEDOM! Glad you like ETL... Its too extreme for a lifestyle for me but I've always remembered his motto- "Salad is your main meal" helps keep me into the veggies! LOL on BM2 vs BM1... I do believe they are equal intensity so you did just fine!

Will see you ladies a few more times before we head out for weekend! Happy Workouts, Yoga, Stretch or whatever floats your boats today!

Honestly, I'm just faithful enough to believe things happen for a reason, and I'm on the crest of something that's just meant to be.
It will be lots of work (and some unpleasantness - this partner I've had for the past 4 years is truly a piece of business) but I'm also excited as well.

Interestingly, getting back in good shape again, thanks to Cathe, is one of the things making me realize I'm strong enough to do anything I set my mind to, at any level. Interseting how these things are all intertwined, no? }(

Traci, when you go to the bay, you must fly, clearly... I'm just thinking whether it's feasible to take along or to duplicate some of your equipment like your step to take when you go. If not, of course there's Cardio Kicks, Kick Max, and some of the Core Max and Stretch Max videos you can take, or you could run for one of the days.

Amy, I'm going to have to go back and re-read yesterday's posts to get the scoop on your WW meeting. Sounds like you're keeping perspective, though, and doing all the right things.

Lori, sorry you're feeling under the weather.

Teddygirl, I hope your week finishes out for you on a more solid note than it started. It's the WEEKEND, girl, and that happy news alone should put you on a very good path. Any fun plans?

Jane, I hope your son is doing well. I look forward to hearing an update.

Whats with you people who can't sleep? And I am sleep deprived??? There is something wrong with this picture!!!;)
i can't complain though b/c I had a pretty good night last night. i went to bed around 12 and he woke at 3 and 7 and we got up at 8:30. I thought that was pretty good. Certainly beats last weeks pattern of 1,3,5,7!;( ;(
But when I got up at 3 I couldn't get back to sleep b/c I decided to go to my parents house for the weekend and I was thinking about all the things I need to pack. 2 kids and myself and one of those kids who likes to poop and spit up so Lord only knows how many pampers and outfits I will need for him. I think I have most of it done though. I did each person one at a time so I think there are only a few things left to do. Im also taking my snack food with me and I am taking my scale b/c I have to weigh in on Sun morning. How silly am I? The thing with going home is it feels like a vacation and I don't want to slip b/c I find it really hard to get back into the swing of things once I have cheated.

So i got a 30 min interval run in last night and thats all he would allow. It was a toughy though so I thought I did o.k. Today is suppose to be meaner legs but I am leaning towards GS legs. I really liked the results I got from that one last year.

Anyway, I will check in again later. My parents have the internet so I will still be checking in.

Happy Friday, YES! :7 :7 living for the weekend. I got a pretty nice weekend ahead of me. First, after work, taking my sis to grocery store how exciting, than later, I'm taking her to the movies I promise, I won’t eat the popcorn tooooo much butter, :9 :+ :9

Last night, PUB & abs Ouchie!!!! on the abs! I’m feeling it real good today, altho I didn’t lift heavy. I started with 9/10/15 for the entire workout, not to bad.

This morning I did Cardio Kicks to loosen me arms up a bit, I had a blast, I love CK it’s a great workout. Well, I better get back to work I’ll check in later of course.

Hello everyone.... DS is doing well. It is just going to be a long process. I found out something he didn't tell me (he didn't want to worry me) but he told my daddy (his grandpa)..... at his three week appointment they are going to take x-rays to see how he is progressing. There is the possibility of surgery with screw fixation of that vertebra depending on what the neurosurgeon sees on the x-ray. *sigh* Pray that he heals on his own. Mama is not happy with him not telling her everything!
 
Hi gang.. Well an unexpected cold front has rolled in so I am going to stay home with real heaters vs bay space heaters!x( We dont leave space heaters on at night so it gets pretty darn cold in the house down there... Oh well- it all happens for a good reason so I'll just be a single woman w/ 1 kid this weekend (DH will go rain or shine and take the "boys").

I do have my small step + a tube down there so I am always good to go with some kind of workout! I like doing kick because the flooring allows me to do the turns and kicks easier than on the carpet in my house. Hope you come to a decision that brings you peace very soon.

Gidget: :eek: What a fun weekend you have planned! I bet you'll be happy to get out of the house for awhile! You are not silly about scale at all! I have one at our bay house because it keeps me from over doing it too much , if I'm going to stray from plan thats exactly where it happens! I totally relate!!!! Great job on the interval run yesterday and have fun with WHATEVER legs you decide to do. Safe Travels!!

TeddyGirl: :eek: DH & I do have a ton of fun when we can actually connect! He works so many hours that evenings are pretty mellow for us so we do like to get away and be together on the boat or just watch movies if weather is bad. I am very thankful for him... We are polar opposites in every respect except for whats in our hearts. He's conservative - I'm liberal with a capital L... He's a hunter, fisherman, I am a chanting, meditator, spiritual gal.... He hates fitness, I live for it.... He cannot live without junk food , I love eating clean. He's very close with his mom, I am working on my parental relationships... He believes in giving respect because of title, I believe respect must be earned. On you sorry you asked? :+ I sure dont know how we ended up together as it was a rocky start indeed! ANYWAY----- Enjoy your sis! Enjoy movies, shopping, workouts & even EATING!!! See you Monday! (I miss you on weekends!)

Question for he educated crowd!

I am not pleased with the rate of Tricep growth compared to other parts. I am considering adding a Tricep segment from PS / SH (alternating) every week on top of the tricep work that is scheduled. Thoughts?

My friend he's a trainer and every now and again, I get the chances to talk too him. Anywho, I'd suggest you workem twice more. My biggest problem areas are my tri's & thighs, that's why I work my legs hard x( x(

I was looking at my triceps last night they need alot of work x( so I've decided to do 50 dips every night, for the next few weeks. It won't hurt em. I do not wont to build em, right now, b/c arms will look like a man ;-) ;-) :7 to much fat, so I'm going to work on leaning em down first, if that makes any sense. I feel like this, What ever your problem areas are, concentrate on that area more, just me .02cents

Thanks Traci.... I talked to him about mid-morning this morning and he said he was feeling pretty good. He gets up about 7 and stays up until lunchtime, then lays back down for pretty much the rest of the day. He actually says his back is doing much better, it's his left hamstring that is hurting him the most. He torn that muscle. That is going to take a while to heal.
 
Hi, everyone! Quick fly by --- Traci, on Tri's I think adding in more S&H is absolutely a good idea, and working your rotations to hit tri's really hard at least 3 and if possible 4 times a week would also be good.

Beyond that, I'd suggest one session with a really good personal trainer. We have one, and I want to start seeing him once a month just for check in, stats and goal setting... I recall when I was getting really fit before that when I was no longer worried about muscle size but was working to enhance muscle definition he had me do some things differently with the exercises, but I can't remember what they were... maybe a google search would turn up some interesting tips, too, that you could apply to your choices of Cathe DVDs and exercises.

Well, broke the news to my partner that we're splitting (in a very careful and politically sensitive way) and she's not going to fight me on it. HURRAY. Now the issue will be making sure the actual follow through is equitable to both sides, but I can deal with that so it's not the part that frightened me - it was the initial aftermath of "how dare you" and yelling and threats, etc. (the way she responded when I didn't immediately capitulate to just becoming her minority partner). So I think she's recognizing that she needs to proceed carefully here and needs to be appropriate. I hope so. Public awareness is a wonderful thing, and Utah is a small community, if you know what I mean.... it's a good thing for self-policing the things people do :) :)

HURRAY! I feel like the weight of the world is off of my shoulders. The next phase of my life will be busy, but fun.

HI Girls,

Well, I made it here safe and sound. Funny thing...when I got here my dad was making supper for me:) Of course it may not sound silly to some people but for a guy who only eats beans and bologna when he is home alone, its funny. My mom was working so she wasn't around.

Anyway, I did 1/2 of GS legs b/c I don't have my ball at home, took a break to feed the baby and then I did another 30 min interval run. I brought KM and DM with me and I think I may do DM tomorrow. Ive never done it before though so I am looking forward to that. I know that tomorrow is suppose to be a rest day but Im taking Sun as a rest day.

Just got home & Amy left a message at 2:30 that Dave (DH) was in a car accident - She was on her way to ER at that time. I am going to try & call her now... Its 530pm Central....
ETA: Talking to Amy- Dave's home - Trucks in bad shape - Minor injuries ........ She'll check in later this evening!!
 
OH TRACI!! Keep us posted if you hear from her! Oh my, that feeling in the first moments.... I know it well. My prayers are with them.
 
Weight Watchers.....**Friday**

Hey, all!

Thanks, Traci!! It's nice to know that there's someone there when you need it!!! Don't worry about the time, I had just gotten home from all the subsequent errands when we talked!!

Okay, here's the lowdown.....DH is NOT my favorite person right now. He's fine, just a little shaken up. He ran off the road somehow and only succeeded in injuring the new truck (the one we had to buy after he was in another car accident 19 mos ago...that one wasn't his fault though!!! At that time, his car was totalled when he was rear-ended at a stop light with the other car going at a high rate of speed) and his pride. He's snoozing right now, which is good.

I have yet to settle my heart and my mind now, and I just now was able to get something to eat. Needless to say, for stress' sake, there will be a workout involved tonight, although it's hard to say which one. BodyMax 1 is on the books, but I don't know if I'm really up to tackling that one, as I haven't ever done it before.


Cheryl- I am so glad that your news was taken "gracefully"! I know that's a load off your mind!! Yes, it is interesting how our perspective on life changes as we change our bodies!

Jane- I am dealing with much the same thing with DH. He doesn't like to tell his mom anything so as not to worry her. I can't tell you how many times this has happened....you don't want to know, especially since DH was active duty and ended up serving in some not so safe areas of the world!!!! I am glad that you found out, yes, it's worrisome, but not as much as not knowing!!

LoriG- I am glad that you made it to your parent's house safely. Do they live far from you? I hope that you have a great weekend and that the grandparents pony up some spoilage for the grandkids!!!

I hope that you all have a good weekend. I'm not working tonight, but will head in that direction tomorrow. Hopefully, by that time, some of the steam has released and I can talk to DH without getting upset!

Amy, thank heavens he's alright!!!! That's all that matters for right now, and you should do whatever helps you relieve stress.

What a horrific day for you!! I am so sorry for the news, but so grateful he is fine. It could have been so much worse. Life can be so fragile.
