Good morning ladies,

This morning workout was GS Back/Shoulder & Bi plus AB work from TMS/ Stability ball!


Laine sorry on still being sick! Did you get your cardio in???

Cheryl great job on your 60 min. run! WTG!

Cerrie hope you enjoyed your yoga! My husband is in the military where we met 24 years(married almost 24 years) ago. It is a 3 year tour!

Amelia I am glad to hear you had had a great workout yesterday!

Good Morning Girls:)

My DM might spend some time with DS today so if she does,I will get in a hour AM walk for cardio(my favorite cardio;-)) and then do BBC shoulders and back! If she doesn't come and get him,its some kind of step for 30-40 mins!

I kinda hinted around yesterday that I want the slow and heavy series for my b-day or christmas}( ...I THINK he got it;-)

Belinda-Good morning,so will you be in Germany for three years while your husband is on tour or are you there permanetly? Great workout this am!!! but what is TMS?(or did you mean TBS?)

OH yea,I almost forgot,I measured today and Iam down a 1/2 and inch in my waist,3/4 of an inch in my hips and 1/2 an inch in each one of my thighs Woohoo:7 Now if only knew how much I weighed...:+
 
Good Morning!:)

Well, today would have been DS's first day at the sitters but she called at 7:30, and has the stomach flu!:eek: Its a good thing my mom was on her way into town! I feel a little better about being here now. Although he needs to get use to the sitter.

I am going to reread yesterdays thread when I get a chance. I have a couple of things to do right now and my boss should soon be here but I will definitly have time later to catch up!

I weighed today and I was 119.4! Still going down. Im not sure if I will get a workout in today either b/c I had thought about getting up at 5 to work but when I went to bed last night DS woke and was up till 12:30, so I only got 6 hours of sleep. If I am feeling up to it I may go for a run tonight when I get off of work. If not...it will be a rest day.

I forgot to mention that my ankle is feeling better since the orthopedic surgeon gave me a prescription. On Monday it hardly bothered me and I did a full hour of step aerobics. I still have a twinge here and there but I feel more confident about doing cardio again, and maybe tomorrow I'll feel better about doing lunges when I do legs again. I've got my physical therapy appointment on Monday, so I hope I can make my ankle stronger and do so well without the meds.

I also feel a little healthier today, though the cold is not 100% over. It's hardest at night when all the congestion wants to go into my head when I lie down.

Later today I hope to try Kelly Coffey-Meyer's new Step=Boxing workout. First, after the kids are off to school, I'm going to go look for some jeans--I need some more short jeans for when I want to wear flat shoes. All my favorite jeans are regular length which I can wear with my high heeled boots, but I don't always want to wear high heels. I'm 5'5" and I think I actually have longish legs for my height (I have a few friends who are the same height but their waists are lower than mine because I have a short torso) but regular length pants still seem so long.

Oh yeah, yesterday I did the Chest, Biceps, & Triceps split from Amy Bento's Slo-Mo Strength Challenge. I really liked it. She did a great job of making easier transitions between exercises--one of the problems I had with her All Pump Xtreme was the many equipment changes.

Belinda, so are you starting a GS rotation now that you've done Slow & Heavy for a while?

Lori, I am trying to remember the last time I was under 120 lbs. Hmm, at some point in college, I guess. I wonder if I'll ever see it again!

Carrie, you're under 120, too? You're right about the cardio on the 4DS being short. I enjoy it but wish it were longer, but I have so many other workouts for that, I guess. I do like the new Amy Bento workouts for cardio, though.

Cheryl, it must be nice to have someone to run with--though if I had a running partner I would probably lag behind--I'm hopelessly slow. I did just jog back from dropping off Isaac at the bus stop, so my ankle must be o.k. for a short jog, at least. Maybe I should try running again soon.

Stacey, I'm even newer to Cathe than you are--I started getting her stuff back in April. Now I have all her stuff, but haven't even tried it all. I went a little overboard stocking up for some reason. So you are wise not to get "caught up" in trying to do the heavy stuff. I do like going heavy, though (though I don't go Cathe-heavy)

OK, time to take Ewan to school.

Good Morning! Wednesday. Yes! Tomorrow I have off, so this week is getting better and better!

Yesterday was YogaX. It was very challenging (in a good way). I love yoga, and use to practice it alot, but then I needed to lose weight after the baby, and have been doing tons of cardio. But this yoga was great and I am really feeling it today. I also ran 2 miles. I want to keep my running up, I am planning on a race for Thanksgiving.

Today is Legs and Back. I hope my legs can get thru it

Lori-that is nice your mom is in town. Does she live close? Is she watching DS? Hope you get your run in!

Cheryl--good job on your w/o yesterday. How long are your 'long' runs? Do you go by distance or time? How often do you run/week?

Lainie--Let me know how Stepbox is with KCM. I have heard excellent comments about this on this forum. Lot's of people love this w/o.

Stacey--did you mention you are following a cathe rotation? Or do you just plan your w/o? Is your DS crawling around now? Ryan just goes backwards!

Amelia--what's on tap today? Are you avoiding creepy guys at the gym? :eek:

Good morning to everyone! Happy Wed!! It's a nice morning here for me as my DH is home to take the kids to school. My daughter has a dad's day at preschool and she has been sooo excited for him to come with her to school. Pretty cute. Ryan is sound asleep, so time for me to write a quick hello then get a shower:) You guys have no idea how much I value my shower time as it is hard for me to get one in at times!

Sounds like you all have good workouts planned today. Let's see trying to remember what everyone posted....

Belinda- I would love to visit Germany, what a beautiful country! I was an exchange student in Utrecht, NL while in college but never made it to Germany.

Lori- Hope you get caught up on some sleep. It does sound like you need a rest day today!

Amelia- Congrats on the weight loss! You are doing so great. Hope you are able to get some cardio in today.

Lainie - Glad to hear your feeling a bit better with the cold and great news about your ankle! I'd love to hear what other Cathe workouts you enjoy since you and I are newbies.

Carrie - Well, not following a Cathe rotation but I'm sort of making up my own rotation. It's called "what in the world can I fit in this week" LOL :) No, seriously, I basically try to aim for several strength training workouts a week, one pilates or yoga a week, then cardio the rest of the days or in combination with the strength training. My goal is to fit in 5 days a week of workouts. Ryan is crawling and standing up and cruising around the furniture. In the past week he's really started to stand up on his own and can balance unsupported for a good little bit. Oh, so cool about the medical coding! You know, that is something I have seriously considered getting a certification in, so I'll be curious to hear how that works out for you.

Okay, hope I didn't miss anyone. Have a great day and hello to those who follow:) By the way, probably a day off for me today, still coughing like crazy. Here's hoping for better luck tomorrow.

Lori, wow on the weight result. You're rockin' it, girl! I'm so jealous! Glad your mom was in town. Whew.

Amelia, with that big a measurement drop, who cares what the scales might have said :7 :7 :7 That's great news, girl!

Belinda, nice workout on tap. That sounds fun.

Lainie, running is such a nice diversion, especially with nice music. I really like it.

Today is my day for yoga/stretch max for the Cathe rotation. I think I'll sub a 45 min TM run plus B&G stab. ball abs. I don't need that many rest days.

You know, its hard not being able to check in through out the day. I kinda feel like Im missing stuff! LOL I hope DD's computer will soon be home again so I can check in more often.

So my boss is gone for his lunch and I have an hour of pure freedom!!!! I will make my lunch shortly and then watch some t.v! hehe Im also going to run home and have a little peek in at my boy. My co-worker is going around gathering money for lottery tickets so my excuse to run home is to grab some money:) Whatever it takes right?

Laine** How was it that you hurt your ankle again? Im forgetting! It seems like its been bad forever...you are a much better girl then I, b/c I probably wouldn't have rested nearly as long as you did:)
As for being under 120...this is the first time for me in yrs as well. I was 118 when I got pregnant for DD when I was 16! Ha! Thats the last time I can remember. At my tiniest in my 20's as been 123 lbs. We will see how things go now that I am back to work. My life will be crazy when I am not working but when I am at work its pretty laid back so may start accumlating some fat again:)

Carrie** Off tomorrow? Long weekend for you? After tomorrow I am off until Mon night...looking forward to a long weekend!

Cheryl** Are you doing the Nov rotation? I still haven't ordered the workouts! CAn you beleive that? Just haven't gotten around to it!

Stacy** Hows it going!? And no, I can't beleive that the boys are 10 monthes already! We are thinking about having another. There are times I am ready to do it now and then I think I should probably wait a little longer!!!

Hey girls

I got my workout done and some housework!I almost didn't workout today but I ended up doing LIC,cardio premix and then did BBC shoulders and back! My ds was driving me nuts the entire workout,he gets so bored with his toys and cartoons!! Oh well,hes two,what can I do,LOL

BTW-I kinda had a typo on my inches for my hips this morning,I put 3/4 and I actually lost 1/4....opps;-)

Lainie-Have fun with your workout,and jean shopping!

Lori-I don't think Im going to buy a scale just yet.As long as I keep losing inches,Im fine with not having one! Sounds like you've adjusted to being a SAHM to a working gal very nicely...good going,I hope I can do the same in the spring!

I think iam going to avoid the gym altogether for now and just workout at home,that guy really creeped me out..he was doing a robot like walk around my treadmill and was trying to give me running advicex( If I had to listen to anymore of his crap i think the "mean" amelia would have appeared,LOL}(
 
OMG girls,did you check out the Cathe's blog...Im am SOOOOO pumped about this new series! That is just what Im looking for,can't wait! I will definitely preorder this one!
