Buffy: Great job on Cardio Coach work! So many people really enjoy it that I must start looking into that one... my treadmill just SITS 99% of the time.

Amy: Your Welcome! Cool about Blue Angels... I always torment myself about the no w/o day + eating like I'll never eat again... My body actually kinda likes those days (not too close to WI)... think its part of the SHOCK it needs once in awhile. GOOD LUCK on WI today

Jennifer: Glad you're feeling better.... do you find that because you cant talk real loud that others start talking really quietly too??? No worries about possible muscle loss.. w/ GS you'll be stronger than before in a week or so. What is the date for your marathon???

Claude: Glad the w/o blahs are behind you! I think most "normal" people get them from time to time. SH is an awesome series isnt it? Love the rubber feeling you described. Thank you so much for the tennis ball idea for my foot. I did it for quite awhile last night while watching a movie and this morning I got up w/ very little pain!

Good for you being in the push-up challenge! I have given up on ever being able to do big girl pu's.... No matter how strong I get I just cant seem to get my body to that.... I use 15#s minimum on all my chest work so you'd think I could do 1 lousy push-up! lololol... I'm not losin' sleep over it tho!

I'll do my progress report on next entry because I really did just want to cathch up w/ all you wonderful people!

Progress Report:

Yesterdays little experiment w/ turning LowMax into a circuit w/ MMax Upper/MIS Upper was a great success!
I really loved it because I have the attention span of a knat so it was fun and the 2 hours FLEW by.... burned 846 calories! Talk about HUNGRY all day... ate every stinking AP but went to bed once those were devoured so I'd stop eating....

Todays Plan:
Legs & Glutes Extreme Premix (80 min).... oh my, never worked lower that long.. we shall see!

WI tomorrow so will be very good about clean eating today... lots of 0 point soup on the menu. I'm out of all fruits and veggies too just like Claude so I have to get to Super Walmart by 8am to beat the traffic.

Will check in after L&G Extreme to let you know if I made it!

Traci, I really like cardio coach. I used to HATE my treadmill. Now I use it all the time. I find that when I work out early in the morning, I am sometimes just not up for complicated Cathe step moves. With cardio coach, I just have to listen to the cues and adjust my treadmill according to the instructions and I'm off. It's not complicated and I burn a huge amount of calories.

Tomorrow's WI for me too so I'm going to be extra good. I also have some 0 point soup I'll be relying on today.

Today's workout is PUB with cardio coach #2 add on (time permitted). I think I'll skip the abs this morning and do a coremax segment tonite after work. I don't really like PUB abs anyway.

My, aren't we all up early!!! LOL!

I have been hearing a lot about CardioCoach and the Itrain system and it's got me curious. Is there a way to try them without having an Ipod or MP3?

Well, today is WI, like I mentioned earlier, I know that I will be up, but then again, vacation always does that as well as the fact that I am eating more (Tuesday doesn't help!!)

LowMax is also an my regimen today. I think that for future reference, I will want to know how you did the Low Max circuit, Traci. That sounded very intruiging!!!

I went to Cardiocoach.com this morning and YES you can order CD version (same price point...14.95-19.95. I dont have MP3 but my computer is in w/ treadmill so I can play iton that...still debating if I need yet ANOTHER workout!

LowMax Circuit (limitless ways to do it... I will do in future w/ all the Imax's I think!

MMax Upper (2 exercise per body part)
LowMax Warm-Up and Intervals 1-3 (about 35 minutes)
MIS Upper ( 2 exercise per body part) about 25 minutes
LowMax Intervals 4-7 (about 30 min)

I'm getting creative now thinking how to use all the premixes I still have yet to do on my strength tapes & combine with intervals. Step Blast would be another goodie to split up.

If you have a multiple DVD player you can really split it all up but since I dont I have to do a bit more so I'm not stopping all the time.}(

This morning, I got my butt up and brought it with low max I ALMOST talked myself out of the workout. B/c I could not sleep last night, oh confession, I did not do KM leg drills after I finished L&G

After I finished L& G I decided to walk to the store needing some hair products, well it turned out to be over an hour and a half walk. When I returned home it was after 8:30 and I lefted around 6:50 had to rush rush rush to get ready for today. This is probably why I could not sleep endorphin was VERY HIGH.

Tonight, P90X shoulders & Arm, :p MAYBE abs too :p

Nice job on the L&G, BTW! I think that is one I don't have. Oh, that reminds me, I need to get CTX back from the co-worker I lent it to while I was gone!

Traci- I will need to file that workout in my "to-do" file.

My co-workers laugh at me when I haul out my "Cathe" notebook! I printed out the Compendum, highlighted all the tapes I have and put it in the page protectors. That way, I can write with water-soluable markers for rotations or whatever. Anyway, that's also where I file interesting workout rotations, mish-moshes, etc!
 
Traci - Yes, you do need another workout!!! LOL. I believe cardiocoach is having a sale through tomorrow. 25% off two or more. Believe me, you will not regret this purchase. I've been using cardiocoach for a little over a year and I'm not bored yet. WARNING: Once you try them you will want them all.

Amy - You don't need an ipod or mps player so long as you can play it from your computer or cd player, but, I've tried it both ways and playing from an ipod definitely enhances the experience.

Good morning, ladies!

Wow, looks like some great workouts planned for today :). I am doing a very light one in comparison LOL. I'm going to do 30-45 min on the elliptical or treadmill (walking, not running, though) to ease back into things.

Traci: my half is on 9/17, but I leave for Maui on 9/12 (Tuesday!!), so it's coming up fast, and I definitely want to be 90%-100% at that point.

Have a great day and I'm sorry I didn't have time to do individual shout-outs--gotta get going or I won't get a machine at the gym!

Morning everyone -

Took a 45 min PowerWalk today. Back is acting up and step tends to aggravate it. When the back feels fine, step is great, it doesn't cause the problem, just aggravates it. Anyhoo, eating was pretty good yesterday - had a couple of spoonfuls of regular ice cream as it was my b-day. But other than that I did decent considering I had no veggies. That problem has now been resolved - stocked up last night on the way home.

Traci - glad the tennis ball trick worked. Got the tip free from a runner I used to work with so no charge! :)

Amy - what an awesome idea with the page protectors!! I've been writing all over my Cathe Compedium in pencil so that I can erase when needed, but that's even better! I know what I'll be doing on my day off tomorrow.

Jennifer - good luck with the last minute prep on your half. Wish I could run straight out, but the hips and knees don't like that much. Have to admit, I am running for longer periods of time lately, so maybe it's something I'll eventually work up to.

You can also use a grease pencil on the page protectors!

Something else for PF is keeping something like a tennis ball (spherical) in the freezer and running your foot over it while it's cold to help the inflammation.

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its 5:30 pm and I procrastinated all morning on the L&G Extreme and then all heck broke loose and I've almost talked myself out of going for it..... So thanks to this wonderful check-in I simply cannot report that I blew it off.... thats worse than eating 4 bananas w/ PB!
So now that I've confessed I am going to get off these boards and go get the dang workout done!

Well, like I knew, I was up on the WI, by 2.5 lbs. But I am okay with that. Especially since the "unofficial" weight last Thursday was up by 7.5!!!

At least this gives me a starting point to try and add more points to my daily intake to try induce my body to give up the weight!!!
