Weight Watchers Check In THURSDAY 11/02

Good Morning Everyone.... Ok I just gotta ask first thing.. JANE  Hows your lower half??????????? Also sending good vibes to your {{{{{{{DIL & new g-baby}}}}}}}.

Cheryl: Cathe is so inspirational because of her age to me too. I am 1 year older and seeing her on fit tv a year ago was the ONLY reason I didnt just throw my hands in the air and give up. I was depressed and felt like I was given this foreign body at 40 and I was just going to have to live with it... Thank God I turned to that channel by "accident"... My life changed instantly. People think its melo dramatic because I was only 15 pounds over goal & I hid it well but I really was a mess inside.

KER: Welcome!!!!!! We are so fortunate here to have found each other. No flames, no judgements: just a whole lot of admiration & respect for what were all tryting to accomplish. All ages, all sizes, all sorts of goals...& of course all sorts of various challenges. This group got me the "key" I was missing for success: CONSISTENCY! Checking in daily keeps me accountable and I so need that. Welcome again.

:D

Corinne: You made me cry this morning... I am just so over joyed for the news about your mom AND your mid term... You have been dealing w/ so much stress and now I hope you take a little time to give thanks and take care of yourself. I am just tickled to death this morning! Thank you for taking the time to jump in and share last night. :)

Amy: Feeling any better today sweets??? Do you have to work this weekend if you are sick????? Do hospitals even "allow" sick nurses on the shift????? {{{{{{{{{{amys cold}}}}}}}}}}}

Kim: HI THERE LADY! Good to see you!!! I totally forgot I have 2 or 3 WW cookbooks...hmmmmmmmmm where did I throw those (I mean put those);-)

OK TODAYS PLAN:
Its WI EVE so I'm all serious today (yea right!)
P90 Day 2: Cardio X (45 min Low Impact) We'll see.... its gonna have to be pretty dang awesome if it wants to stay on weekly rotation...Probably will insert a Cathe in this slot in future.

Have an AWESOME day whatever your plans may be!:)

Good morning!!

Traci - Oh my the PB recipes. I am a PB-aholic!!! Thank you! I can walk this morning (it's a miracle!!) I actually hobbled to bed last night, I'm not kidding!!! I can feel my glutes when I bend down or stoop down but other than that I'm fine. I guess it is because I have really worked my LB hard since I started the Butts and Guts rotation the first of September and I haven't let up on it. That's probably why I could finish that thing yesterday!

Good luck on your WI tomorrow!!

ETA - Traci - I've done the 45 Cardio X. I like it. It is definitely different from Cathe but I think you'll like it.

Cheryl - Yes Cathe is amazing isn't she? I had to double check the bio because I couldn't remember her exact age, etc.... they have just recently updated that bio I believe.

Corinne - Oh what wonderful news!!!! I am so happy for you and your family. Your mother deserves that leather coat, what a lovely gesture of your father's.

Amy - hope you are feeling better today.

Kim - Hello Kim!

Keri - How are you doing today? Nice to have you here.

Today is BM2 for me. I really like BM1 so I know I'll like this one too. I've previewed some of the step and it is a fast pace just like #1 is. I can't wait to get on that step this afternoon!!!!

Have a wonderful OP date today.

Hello to all of the other WW'ers that check in later.

GM Traci...AKA "Johnny on the Spot", up so early and getting us started.

Welcome to any new comers (?Keri) like myself. I had the chance to read yesterday's thread completely and send well wishes to those family members struggling w/ health.

Just a little about me: I am 44 y.o. and have been with Cathe since the beginning (1997ish)! I have always been athletic and had a healthy addiction to working out. With Cathe, I was the fittest I ever was in my life through my thirties while I was single. I was full of energy and had beautifully sculpted shoulders and abs. At 5'2" I weighed 130-133lbs, and looked and felt great!

I met my husband when I was 37, fell in love and went out to eat a lot, drink socially almost every night, traveled and slowly worked out less. Then that weird change happened at 40 y.o. where I started to gain a little weight eating the same way I had for years. I put on 10 pounds and was OK with this until I went ti Italy w/ my hubby and that put me over the edge with another 10 pounds. I have tried to lose the weight for about 2 years by lifting weights and running/Cathe cardio. I'd lose a couple, then re-gain. I'm sure you all recognize this pattern.

But deep inside, coming to the surface I decided that if it took me a year, I am going back down to 135. I joined WW 4 weeks ago with my besr friend from childhood who is 5'10" and skinny fat. I wieghed 160 pounds. We weigh in every Wed. and stay for the meetings. Our leader is dynamite, my height, my age and totally inspirational. Yesterday we were asked to envision ourselves on 1/1/2007. It is time to start planning for the holidays!

So, I have put heavy lifting on hold until I am lower in weight and body fat. I will mostly do circuit-like workouts (can't wait for LIC!) alternating with HIIT and steady state cardio.

That's my long story.

TODAY'S NUTRITION:
M1- WW chocolate protein shake, skim milk, 1/2 banana
M2- 2/3 cup slow cooked oats, 1 egg, 3 egg whites
M3- 2/3 cup tabouli w/ cucumbers, grape tomatoes, mint, parsely and a Natural Gourmet Chicken Patty
M4- medium apple w/ 1 tbs peanut butter
M5- 5-6oz schrod, green beans....maybe 1/3 cup cous cous

TODAY'S WORKOUT:
Imax 3, my favorite!

Have a mindful day of eating, we CAN do this!!!

X

X - we are about the same age, I'm 45. I know all about gaining and losing, gaining and losing. That was the pattern I had gotten back into earlier this year. I lost 30 pounds on WW in 2003 and kept it off until this year when it start creeping back up on me. I never joined WW before, just did it by myself but my SIL and DD and I decided to join together and go to the meetings on August 29th. What a difference those meetings make!!! I'm glad I have all of you too to make this journey a little easier.

Hey everyone - good morning:

I was thinking about ordering P90X and then this morning I saw an infomercial on it - WOW, that's all I can say. Now, for those of you that already have it I need some questions answered if you could please.

All the DVD's come in the package? How long are most of them? Is it worth it? How's the nutirition information? The rotations and guides, are they good?

Thanks a bunch, I'm right on the edge so I'll have to make up my mind soon.

Marcia.

Marcia-

YES all 12 DVDs all are under 60min (1 a day) EXCEPT YOGA which is 92 minutes.
The BIG manual is class act + the nutrition/food/recipes manual is also first class. 15 minute gett started DVD + DVD if you want to join their boards (gotta pay over there).

I have purchased just about everything on the market and my first weeks impression is that Cathe + P90X will be the fitness/nutrition advise program for me for years to come. Sensible-Healthy-Fun-Challenging!

Hope that helps!

Back for other personals in a bit----need more coffee!

Good morning all!

I am feeling a little better this morning. I think that it may have been my allergies that caused most of what I am dealing with. I get sinus drainage down the back of my throat which causes all sorts of mayhem!
I didn't do much but sleep off and on yesterday, we'll see about today!

Jane- you Animal, you! B&G yesterday and BM2 today??? Wow!

Marcia- I have P90X and there is quite a bit of wow factor with regards to intensity. Most of the workouts tend to be less than 90 mins, although the yoga one is just over.

Thanks for all the hugs and well wishes!

Corinne- I am glad that you mom did great!! What an inspiration!

Jane: LOL so happy you have found new ways to insert PB into your rotation! Amys right- ANIMAL on BM2 today. Tomorrow is delivery day for me + DH hunting this weekend so I'll have plenty of workout time!!!!

Madam X: Thanks for sharing your story! Like Jane I am similar in stats & story. Married at 38 so married #s + 40's #s = WHAT THE HAY??? Happy to tell you that Amy & I both shook up stalled wt loss w/ Circuit/Hiit rotations for a couple of months... It'll work for you I can just feel it! IMAX 3 a favorite...Oh my ANOTHER animal in our midst.

Amy: DH suffers terribly w/ sinus infections. Aug - Nov he has 1 sinus infection after another... its very draining (no pun) for him. Fevers, cold like symptons and major fatigue. Please take care of yourself today.

Happy Thursday,

Newbie - A great big welcome :) :)

Tracie – Thanks for the PB recipes, nice. I never even looked at Cardio X I know…I know…I’m bad. But, how’s the workout?

This morning, I did Kick Max ouch! The leg drills are a killer }( I l like it

I would love to “PUSH” out another workout before class, hopefully there’s time, ttyl

Teddygirl~

Hi, everyone!

Teddygirl, I just got KickMax off of the YaYa swap and was tempted to try it this morning... but my booty is hurting from yesterday's bootcamp, so I think I'd better save it for another day.

I'm thinking straight cardio on the TM for this morning and PUB for tomorrow.

Madame X, thanks for all the background on your story - I really enjoyed it. And I really relate. I'm 5'5" and can honestly say that at 37 I was perfectly fit, at 40 I was perfectly fit, and at 45 I was perfectly fit - and this foreign body creeping in at 48 has just got to go!!!

Jane, love the PB ideas!

Traci, wow, it's great to have our own personal WW and Cathe inspirational coach. Thanks for all you do!

Well, I'd better hit that TM before I run out of time! :7

Have a great morning, everyone
Cheryl

Utah Gal – I have heard mixed emotions on the forum regarding KM but I really love the workout. Do you have Cardio Kicks? That’s my favorites.

Morning everyone -
Corinne - That's fantastic news on your mom. Give her {{{{{HUGS}}}} from me!! And that's a great grade on your midterm, especially considering all the stress you've been under lately. Good job!:D

Traci - thanks for the PB recipes - like I needed another reason to eat PB!! :9

Amy - hope you feel better!

Jane - so should we get our DH's together so they can commiserate on how difficult it is being married to Catheites?

Kerri - Welcome aboard!! The more the merrier!

Kim - I have to pull that cookbook out. I always fall back on the basics - grilled chicken, steamed veggies, wild rice.

Sandra - hope things are going well with your mom's visit and the hormone thing. We miss you!!

This am I did a mishmosh of cardio only from LIC and DM ;-) - it was so cool plus I added abs from DM. Loved it! Of course, being my first time through, I spent plenty of time staring at the TV going "Huh?". But I still managed to get quite a sweat worked up.

Need to get the eating back under control. I did so well for a week and then slipped up again. But NO FOOD IS AS IMPORTANT AS REACHING MY GOAL. Thanks Traci!!!

OK - so who on this check-in is still waiting for the new workouts? If I recall - Traci's getting them today or tomorrow; Madame X - I can't recall if you pre-orderd? anyone else?

OK - back to work now. Have a happy Thursday everyone!

Claude

CardioX was really fun...as Jane knows I like variety and this one had a ton for such a quick w/o (about 33 minutes excluding w/p & stretch). The total time + Calories Burned was almost identical to my stats on Cardio Coach 3. Really interesting as they are totally different worlds..
I am really mentally struggling today tho as I was doing 1-2 hrs every day up until this week.... My mind is saying DO MORE but my body is appreciating a bit of a break. I dont see myself just doing this on my cardio rotation w/ P90 but feel there are beneficial moves in it. Next week I will probably do a Drill Max Premix then use the actual workout CardioX as a goodie Add On.

Teddygirl:I love Kick Max as well...Actually I just really like kickboxing and Cathe puts the extra spin on it. I cant wait til her next KB is released. P90X has me on KENPO (kickbox) on Monday so I'm really looking forward to that one!

Cheryl: Thanks & I hope your TM morning was sweat infested!

Claude: Your mish mosh sounds like a hoot! And you remembered correctly, my big day is indeed tomorrow. I simply cannot keep my composure... isnt that CRAZY????

Sandra: Claude is so good about covering everybody..... Sending my thoughts to you as well for a happy mom visit and hoping HH is almost over!:7

Good afternoon everyone!

I haven't worked out yet as I had errands to run after dropping DD off this morning. BUT there will be workout later today maybe Kick Max.

Hi to everyone!

Claude--I preordered from Cathe but haven't received a shipping email yet(I didn't preorder until September though--maybe that's why). I'm jealous and envious of everyone who has gotten them already. I love reading their reviews :)

UPDATE: I just checked the UPS tracking on the site and my DVDs are scheduled to arrive tomorrow?!? Hurray :) I only ordered Bodymax2 and Butts and Guts. You all will have to give me the scoop on Drillmax--maybe Santa will bring it to me ;-)

Have a great day,
Kim

BodyMax2 is done! I loved it!! Not sure about doing it the day after B&G again though!!}( I did it in its entirety but had to check out early on those low-end 15's on both the regular squats and the plie squats with a 35-pound barbell on my back!! My glutes and quads were going on strike!}( }(

bbl...

Wouldn't you know it???? My lovely UPS man just delivered my Cathe order and feel too much like cr@p to even look at them! Had to laugh, though, when I showed DH, he said, "Yea, you got your new toys!"

Well, it's not just allergies as I suspected, I started with 100.7 fever this morning, UGH!x(

I will try and stay away so all youse don't get sick from me;-)
