Weight Watchers Check-In, Saturday 11/25

Cathlete
Well, ladies, I know that I've been MIA the last couple of days, but I am still alive.

Sandra- I totally understand about the premenstrual power mode! My eating has been completely obnoxious this entire week!!!

I ended up doing Imax2 on Thursday and it felt great! I am back 100% to my "pre-sick" abilites...I am able to do all my step with 1 riser like I was before!

Tonight, well, last night;-), was RTTC again. Once again, I am feeling the DOMs layer in and it's only been several hours!

I brought the leftover banana pudding in to work or I'd NEVER make it! It's so good that I could eat the entire 9x13 pan myself!!!

I ended up not counting any points this week, just because my eating has been so off...but I thought back and realized that I really hadn't done that for MONTHS. I just hope that I am able to fend off the damage by the time I go to WI next Thursday!!!

I hope that your Saturday is a good one, I will check in later!

Good morning Amy and all that follow....

Amy - I've done well on my eating through the ThxG holiday, maybe because of my total melt down on Monday and Tuesday. I'm doing good weight wise and, more importantly, measurement wise. Maybe melt-downs are good sometimes.

I'm working today and tomorrow so won't be around much. Hopefully I'll get my new treadmill put together this evening after work.

Good Morning!

Yesterday was ok eating wise. Had a few more points that I wanted and so I had to dip into a couple of flexies but I was glad they were available. I really need to get rid of all this leftover T-giving stuff. I think I'll make a turkey soup today and ditch the rest of the fattening stuff.

I did P90X legs and back yesterday and I'm feeling it today. I'm not sure what I'lll do today. P90X KenpoX is on my rotation but I already did KPC on Thurs. so I'm not sure if I feel like kickboxing today. I may do BM2 or DM. I haven't even opened those DVD's yet.

Going out for sushi with DH and DD tonite so I need to earn some AP's.

BBL.

Good morning!

Amy - Woohoo! I'm glad you're feeling back to your old self! You know. As Jane said, meltdowns can be very beneficial, believe it or not. All the eating you've been doing may have restored your body's glycogen levels, which are so necessary to carry you through a workout, and keep your brain functioning. There appears to be a direct conflict between eating for weight loss, and eating for working out. It's hard to find the line where you aren't eating too much, but are still giving your body the energy it needs. When I did IMAX2 yesterday, I couldn't help shouting along with Cathe when she says "I know you're tired, but jump HIGHER!" That's my favourite Cathe motivational saying.

Jane - A new treadmill!!!! Now, that's fun!! Enjoy!

Buffy - I finally got around to previewing a couple of the P90X workouts this week. I like what I saw. These workouts are very, very different than the traditional home videos, aren't they? I like how Tony encourages you to be competitive with yourself, but doesn't take the motivational talks into aggression over other people (ie., trying to crush your opponent, etc.). I'm very curious about whether I'll be able to bang out a pull up. I guess I'd better find a chin/pull up bar first.

This morning is a swim day. It's still dark outside, the temps are -23C (-9F), and the roads are slick. This does not make driving to a pool of cool water very enticing. But I'll suck it up and go anyway :)

Cheers,
Sandra

Good morning, gals:

Brrrr...Sandra.....be careful driving those black ice spots are terrible.

I've done "OK" on eating over Thanksgiving. In fact, on Thanksgiving I did really well and was very proud of myself, but yesterday when I was shopping all day ;-) with my mom we ate a few bad things, BUT put on 11,209 steps on the pedometer so I'm hoping that will help A LOT!!!;)

Today I'm bartending and then going out to celebrate the holidays with our bar-partner (DH's cousin and girlfriend) so that will be tricky. I am completely committed to being good, though. I am headed to the basement in a few minutes to do an upper body workout to start my body burning calories.

Have a great day everyone.

Happy Holidays,
Marcia.

Sandra- PLEASE be careful driving to the pool!!! Have a good swim, as well! I hope that what you said about the eating is true!

Jane- I totally understand about the meltdown eating! I am not beating myself up about it, though, because I do it so seldom (but, man, Wednesday was all about the cookies!!!) Enjoy the new treadmill!!

Marcia- Keep up the great work! Awesome job on the pedometer, too!!!

Buffy- Enjoy sushi....I need to kick DH into thinking about that soon!:9

Have a good day, all! It's very pretty here, 60 degrees and sunny. Makes it a bit difficult to sleep, but Eyemask to the rescue!!!:+

Hi, everyone!

A great Saturday morning in Utah!!

Amy - Jane is right, sometimes meltdowns are good. You were due for one! Now it's over!

Jane, I hope you love your treadmill. I couldn't live without mine!

Buffy - sounds like a fun day planned. Have a good one!

Sandra, have fun with the swim day. Sure wish I could swim well. I can't.

Marcia, sounds like you're doing well.

Today was long run day with the local running club. 2 hrs 10 minutes - the longest I've gone since early September. Was feeling some good DOMS from yesterday's Muscle Max but not enough to interfere with the run.

I didn't make it to WW this morning but weighed in here at home. Still 135... but I feel like I'm retaining a little fluid, and the bf monitor shows I've lost 3.5% in the last 3 weeks since starting the Nov. Cathe rotation. Woo hoo! I have lost some inches, and when I calculate out the percentage lost it's a loss of 5 pounds - just about right for that effort and period of time - and I sure don't mind the additional 5 lbs of muscle. So I'll take it.

Have a great afternoon, everyone!
Cheryl

Hi everyone....just a quick check-in. I was Christmas shopping all day. I did High Step Challenge this morning. Tomorrow is supposed to be my rest day, but I am thinking that in the afternoon I am going to come down on my treadmill and just take a nice, leisurely walk, and watch that BM2 Cardio Blast Premix. I will be back tomorrow, have a good night everyone!
Lori

Just a quickie before you all head to bed. Tonight is going okay so far. Much better than last time!

Lori- Great job with High Step Challenge...that's a doozy!!! I haven't done that one in a long time.

Cheryl- Great job on your run!!! I think that the longest I have run was almost 1 1/2 hrs (well, it was more of a "wog"....only went 5.5 miles). Today was another wog, but just over a hour. I was happy because I was able to get farther today in the same amount of time than I have in the past...just under 4 miles. It felt really good too, because it was about 67 degrees out! Lovely running weather!

Have a good night everyone! Guess what? Traci comes home tomorrow!!! We missed you Traci!!!
