HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!

Yes, my parents both have their birthdays in January, 2 weeks apart, but they were actually born 50 weeks apart....Dad first, then Mom almost a year later. They are the same age for 2 weeks out of the year.

Last night at work was decent. Not too much exciting going on with my patients....I tend to like it that way.

I over slept, so I wasn't able to get my planned double workout in...but I did do the timesavers from the GS upper body. I was so noodle-y that I was sure that my eyeliner was NOT going to go on straight....I couldn't hold my arm up! It felt good to work the muscles to exhaustion!!!

Oh, I got some sampler packs of a protein powder from BSN called Syntha-6. I tried the Vanilla last night. I swear that it tasted like I was drinking melted vanilla ice cream!!! It was 200 cal but only 1 gm of sugar. I didn't mind the extra calories than my usual protein powder because I actually forgot to pack some extra turkey breast in my lunch bag for work.

Well, just finishing up my shift. I hope that you all have a good day and I will check in to catch up with you all later.

Good morning Amy.... Happy birthday to dad!!! and then to mom in two weeks!

That protein powder sounds yummy! I really need to clean up my eating. I'll go for a bit doing so well and then "melt down". What in the world is wrong with me?!

Hoping to hold it together this weekend! How's everybody else doing?

Good morning Ladies!

Happy Birthday to Amy's Dad! Glad you had a good night at work. That's always nice. I've been told feeling noodle-y means we got the job done! Do you do WW's?

Hi Jane! Great to be checking in together again! Stay focused and you'll get thru the weekend!

I'm thinking PH today and maybe a walk on the TM. I have major DOMS in my hamstrings so I don't want to do cardio, but I know it'll do me good.
Eating was good all week. Last night I had a few rum and diet cokes but I didn't eat anything bad so I'm not sweating it.
After a week of working out everyday and eating clean I can already see better definition in my body. It's not that I have to lose a lot of weight, I've just become the Pillsbury Dough Girl and want to lose some inches and tone back up. I do have to lose at least 15 lbs. tho. What the scale says is inacceptable. I'm seriously overweight for my height!
Well puppy is done eating breakfast so I'm going to crawl back into bed w/ DH. Be back later!

Good Morning everyone.....today I think I will do some BM2 cardio. I am so afraid of that cardio, I just don't know why??

Not much going on here....it will be a quiet weekend.

Amy, I wish I could show you, I am so proud, I am making a baby blanket from Knitting Simple magazine. My computer is in the basement, and it gets chilly down here, and I would just like a baby blanket to lay on my lap when I am down here. I am so proud of it so far, it looks so good. It uses 9 skeins of yarn, and I am almost done with the first skein, so I still have a ways to go.

Welcome Kali, & Gidget, or should we call you Lori2?? HA!

My dad is having surgery again next Thursday. This is the last one, and hopefully, he will be done. The veins in his legs are very clogged with calcium, and his legs go numb, and ache all the time. So, after this he will hopefully be brand-new.

Well, I am on to my workout. Have a great day everyone!
Lori

Hi ladies. Good Saturday morning!

I got up with our cat and hit the treadmill. Training run of 4 easy miles. Then a nice LONG stretch. Good and sweaty, even in the cold, unfinished basement. LOL

My eating is back on track. Yesterday was my first successful day and I'm glad to have it under my belt going into the weekend. Like Kali, I'm feeling like a family member of the Pillsbury Dough gang. lol

Have a great day!

Gayle

Good Morning again!

Kali- I started out 2 yrs ago following WW religiously and lost about 50 lbs. Last May was when I started with Cathe primarily and since then I have had the hardest time losing the last 20. I still have about 20 to go, and my eating program has evolved into more "clean eating" than following WW. I don't count points, but I do count calories with a really cool website, www.sparkpeople.com. It's free and it helps me keep track of my calories as well as my ratios of fat/carbs/protein. I still attend the meetings, I just don't tell them that I don't count points anymore.

LoriSax- I hope that you dad's surgery goes easier for him than his last one!!! I would love to see your baby blanket!!

Like I tell a lot of people who get frustrated with their eating....just take it one day at a time!

Oh Kali.... I just saw the pictures of Jenny... how adorable!!!! Those eyes!!! She is just precious.

I think LoriSax meant we'd have to call Lori (Gidget) Lori2 to differentiate between the two.

I just finished my oatmeal and apple for breakfast... so far so good!

Amy - I started tracking on SparkPeople about two weeks ago. My eating has not been the best. I know was too calorie restricted on WW though when I follow the program to the letter. I really like SparkPeople. I tracked on Fitday about a year ago but I like SparkPeople better now that I've given it a chance.

ETA - I still attend the WW meetings also. I made LifeTime in Nov and don't want to give that up.

Hi ladies,
can I join your check in's ? I need to loose weight. Last couple weeks I cleaned up my diet. I am more aware of what I put in my mouth. My daughter became a vegetarian. So I eat lots of vegetable and fruits, tofu.I think a check in would help me alot! I do have a sweet tooth!!!I do have the WW book, but I am not really good counting points. I seem more hungry! I'm not sure if my book is up to date its seven years old. I'm doing Cathe's rotations and check ins which has helped me lose alot of weight. I finally stick to a workout routine and I like it.

Hope you all have a great day!
Belinda

Hi, everyone!

Happy Birthday to Amy's Dad!

Happy Saturday to Jane!

Great job on eating and treadmill run, Gayle - sounds like it was maybe a good thing the cat woke you up.

Lori, I'm doing Cardio Fusion this morning, so I'm hitting the BM2 cardio too. It's so much fun.

Good morning to Kali and Lori (Gidget) 2! I hope everyone has a wonderful and invigorating Saturday morning! I'm 20 minutes into Cardio Fusion and decided to check in while I stopped a minute for air. It still feels early!!!

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Cheryl

Wow, you gals are chatty for a Saturday morning! I wasn't sure if you guys checked in on Saturdays or not.

You can call me gidget if you wish. Thats what DH calls me. Gidge was my madian name so he stuck a "t" at the end.

Not a whole lot going on here today. We are having a snow storm but we managed to get up and go out for breakfast. I had toast and scrammbled eggs, not to bad. I think I am going to take a nap now even though the little guy was only up at 5 in the morning and then again at 7:30. I may get to workout later. I bought some new sports bras and I hope they will help out with holding everything together.

Hope everyone as a good day!
Lori:)

Hi again, everyone!

BM2 was great fun for the first 30 minutes, but when it started to get to the power circuits, I realized I was cooked. Switched to the TM for another 45 minutes, and then finished up with B&G Bonus abs, 15 min. So a long 2 hour workout even though I wasn't feeling my strongest today. I'll take it.

Weighed in at 127 - down 1.2 from the start of the week, so I'm happy about that! Weekend eating has been my downfall, I realize, and staying clean the past 2-3 weekends has made a big difference towards helping me progress.

Have a great afternoon, everyone!

Cheryl

Evening Cheryl and everyone....

I made it though the day today with eating clean as a whistle THANK HEAVEN!

I also had a wonderful workout day today starting with GS CT and BSB this morning (skipped c/d on CT and w/u on BSB). Then this evening I did Cardio Fusion.. Oh my, Oh my.... what an endorphin rush!!!!

One weekend day down and one to go....

You did all that AND Cardio Fusion??? Wow!! Now I feel like a real wimp.

But being clean for the weekend makes all the difference, doesn't it?
Congrats!!! :) :)

Cheryl

Hey all! Tonight was Cardio Coach Press Play. WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!! Talk about totally rocking! I was so invigorated mentally at the end of this workout that I felt refreshed and alive!!! But the legs were fried!!! This on the Monster was awesome!!! Cheryl, if you like intervals, you'd get a kick out of this one!!

Anyway, Congrats, Cheryl on the Scale Victory!!!

Welcome to all the newbies!!! Wow, we got ourselves a little losing party going on here!!!

To the new ones- Don't worry about the WW headline, we are all watching our weight through various means, we just join here for the support and friendship!!!

Not much else going on, I walked in to work and they dubbed me the person in charge!!! I apologize if this offends anyone, but around here, I am known as the HMFIC tonight (Head Mother Fracker In Charge)! A very derogatory and irreverent title, and I wear it with pride tonight!!! It was either me or a person whose nick-name is Ping (she pings off the wall all night and can't sit still---drives EVERYONE nuts!!!). Think of a pinball machine!!! :7 :7 :7
