Weight Watchers, Check-In 8/30

Good morning all:

BOY, are my allergies bothering me today - YUCK, runny nose, VERY itchy eyes, sneezing all the time - and I'm out of my medicine, guess what's on my list for the first thing to do today! :)

I did IMAX 3 last night and it totally kicked my butt. I have DOMS big time this morning. Tonight we have my DS open house at school, so I'm not sure exactly what I will be getting in for a workout. It might be a walk at lunch. But it will be something! :)

Have a great day OP everyone, see you later.

Marcia.

Marcia, I suffer from allergies too and I know how awful it can make you feel. I have to take two kinds of allergy medication just to get through the day. Sometimes I take another at night.

Just finished cardio coach #5; it's a killer. I'm having major DOMs in the glutes from PLB yesterday.

Went over my points by 1 yesterday. I'm not going to sweat it. I'm going to stay at 20 today no matter what!!!

Have great a day to all who follow.

Buffy

Morning Marcia & Buffy! and all to follow...
Marcia- sounds like your life is getting crazy busy again w/ school starting up... take care of yourself and GOOD FOR YOU doing Imax 3 after such a busy day.
Buffy-with all that working out yesterday a point over your goal is nothin'! You really are the exercise queen these days around here.

Yesterday I stayed at 20 points and did Imax 2 for cardio and Triceps SH + MIS.... I think I'm back into the strength doing 1 part per day.... I think its my attention span! I guess whatever makes you just do it huh?

Today is an all step routine (not my fav) + lawnmax for cardio and BACK - SH + MIS....
Trying to catch up on my "added flexies" bu not eating too many APs.. I'm just about even now... Tomorrow nite is the Texan game so my DH and I discussed and agreed to eat dinner at home so we don't over indulge at game. I have weigh in the next morning so I know that will keep me on track.

Have a great OP day!

Good morning,

Nice work guys :D Yesterday, turned out “ALL” wrong which ended up as my rest day for this week, long story}( ;( However, yesterday workout is pushed back to Sunday. You know the story…………

Well, I made my mind up last night that I was going to get up this morning and do my cardio workout, and I did. I set my clock for 5:15 and brought it! It really felt great to do. I have always been a morning workout person I enjoy that time of the morning, quiet, NO phones NO nothing but me...me...me :p

This morning, I did Low Max and ooo we what a workout, man oh man I REALLY enjoyed it. My legs were burning, big time That Cathe, is something else she is the only woman I know that can bring a smile to my face, when ever and what ever workout I’m involved in of hers. Cathe you rock!!!! ;) ;) :)

Tonight, P90X shoulder & arms & abs :9

Good morning, ladies!!

I have MAJOR DOMS today. I did GS CT for the first time yesterday morning, and then in the evening we had a TnT track workout. We did a circuit--10 laps around the track, and in between laps, we did some sort of strengthening move. Keep in mind I'm still sore from Monday's GS Legs workout, so the walking lunges (for a minute straight) was... well, not fun. Our third circuit was pushups (also for a minute straight), and that wasn't fun either.

Today, my chest feels very, very, very sore. Ouch. My triceps are no big fans of me either right now.

Eating yesterday was a struggle. I pretty much blew through all of my points by the early afternoon, with the quesadilla I had for lunch and then my pre-workout snack (since I wasn't going to be eating until 9:00 that evening, and I can't go more than 4-5 hours without food or else I start getting the hunger shakes). I had my pre-workout snack at around 3:00 because I was already hungry then, and I had to have another one at 4:30 because I was got hungry again. Bah. My only saving grace was that I must have earned about 6 AP from the track workout, although I was so famished that I ate more than that at dinner.

So... all in all, not the greatest display of will, but I am trying very hard to listen to my body and feed it when it needs to be fed. I can always be better about my food choices when I AM feeding it LOL (the quesadilla probably wasn't the smartest choice), but I'll figure it out eventually, I'm sure.

Jennifer-
I think you shound change your stgename from jennifermaria to JenniferMANIA! What a machine you are out there on the track and then adding in things to make it a circuit??????? Your discipline is motivating to me... not that I'm motivated to do what you did but definitely motivated to stop procrastinating and go mow the lawn!

Good day to all;

Plan on staying on points today as I did yesterday.
Not much going on here except that I'm looking into getting a HRM to see how it can impact me to perform at my best during a workout...any recommendations?

Last night I was watching the Food network and rachel Ray was on...here 30 minute meals look great except that she was using soooo much heavy cream and butter! Definitely not something a WW person would follow although the food looked tasty but it just turned me off by just imagining how many points was in just one serving. Yikes.

Today breakfast was my standard slow cooked oatmeal, lunch will porbably be tuna with some baby carrots and hummus while dinner looks to be grilled chicken breasts with brown rice and steamed veggies.

So far today I've already had a quart of water and will keep filling up my WW water container throughout the day up until 7 pm after that it'll impede my bedtime.

I stuck to my plan and drank 64 oz of water yesterday - I hope to drink at least 96 oz be the end of the day.

Vilma-
I have the POLAR HRM... cant recall the model # but its the one that has you plug in age/ht/wt/gender & resting Hr so its pretty darn accurate in calorie burn area....set me back 75 bucks I think but it does everything I could want so its a keeper for years & years for me.

Could you find me the model number ? I'm actually looking at the polar HRM , I have a small wrist and the chest wrap is it rather comfortable?

We have a Dick's Sporting Goods store but it's an hours drive from me and I would rather not let the hubby know I'm buying it - ( he's not paying for it but I'm supposed to be saving $$$ dor our WDW trip next June)

Where did you get yours from?

I just want a reliable HRM that will help me acheive my goal of getting my endurance back and since I've not worked out in a while I don't want to get into an anarobic state you know? Which I can easily do now with Cathe lol

Vilma-
Its "Polar F6 Fitness Heart rate Monitor"
I am extremely small wristed and it is made beautifully to accomodate all bone sizes... The chest strap is adjustable and has never bothered me which was surprising because I truly dislike things next to my skin when sweating!
I got mine thru my Spinning Studio but they are readily available online ebay, maybe walmart. Definitely at major sporting goods ... I dont have Dicks around here but I think you can order online from him. Our Acadamy and Sports Authority carry them as well
Hope that helps

Traci-
Thanks for your reply - that's the model I'm looking at but the women's model seems to only come in pink - I would have prefered the silver model - so is yours the pink one too or are the other colors all the same size?

Vilma,

I have a polar HRM also. I think it is an A5 which is discontinued now. Mine is black and gray. I have very tiny writs and the watch fits me just fine. Very comfortable. WARNING: HRM's are addictive. Once you start using one you will not want to exercise without it.

I ordered mine on-line too. Can't remember from where. It could have been Amazon.

Don't know if you'll see this, as I'm posting so late.

Vilma - I have a Polar FS1. It's the most basic model. I've got small wrists too and the wrist band fits fine. The chest strap is very comfortable, I don't even realize it's there.

Mine only measures HR and time exercised. It only stores the most recent workout data. At the time I bought it that's all I wanted, but now I think it would be nice to have calories burned too.

Looks like everyone overall had a good day yesterday. Mine was pretty good for points, only 1 over. But I didn't workout at all. I did look at some gyms though. I still have to decide about that.

Today I got up early and did PUB. Points were good until supper. I was completely fried when I got home, so we went out for Mexican. I ordered the beef & chicken fajita. I only ate half, but those refried beans are soooo good. Then DH & DD had to order sopapillas for dessert and I, of course, had to help them finish it off. Oh well, that's what flex points are for, right?

I hope I can check in earlier tomorrow. It's been really hectic lately and I seem to be getting on line later and later.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Claude

LOL let me just clarify that this was not my choice ;). Our coaches like to devise the best ways to torture--oops, I mean, train us ;). Kind of like Cathe!!

In all seriousness, though, it was actually a very fun workout, although had I known that that's what they had planned, I would have adjusted my workouts accordingly and not started my GS rotation this week. Although I have to admit, I was so anxious to try the GS DVD's that I might have still done them, even if I had known about the circuit workout ;).
