Weight Watchers - 4th week of May, 2011

Shereta:: Yup-sometimes even the high dread factor work outs are necessary to keep things going in high gear! Good job! :) IMAX3 has a high dread factor for me which is why I rarely do it but will throw it in here and there b/c I know I should. ;) Good job passing up the biscuits and the cake!

shereta: Awesome resisting of the choclate cake:)
Its funny..when i start ccc i am sure i won't be able to last and i tell myself i'll do just one circuit and next thing i know i am tearing through it. I feel such a sense of power whn i finish it! some of my 17 year old students were watching me do it at lunch one day and were like holy moly..we can't do that!
I am definately not going to even attempt that with my back...can you imagine all that rolling around on the floor and jumping up:eek:

I still think that is one of her toughest ones...i have done imax3 and imax extreme and i still think this is a killer...i don't know how it manages to get a lowly met number like 7????

Fitmommy (what is your name?) : Funny how you dread imax 3.. i just got it (on sale last week) and did it 3 days in a row... all these workout that have a set number of things to do before they finish makes it sort of easier for me.. i tell myself ill go until the 2 blast and then try to go further..etc...crazy mind games i play with myself.

Do you guys know any less intense Cathe that might be back friendly? or else i am stuck to walking all the time...

Steph:: My name is Wendy. :) IKWYM about the work outs where you can count off how many torturous acts of super-humaness you have left to conquer before you are allowed to crumble to the floor in a big sweaty breathless exhausted mess! ;):D I will do the same thing-playing mind games with myself-to get through a work out I'm having a tough time with for any number of reasons. Whatever works! The important thing is that we get through it...or JUST DO IT, as they say! ;)

Though I have nothing to report, I thought I'd pop in and say hello. I miss everyone here! I'm going thru some stress days at work which has turned into weeks. Not sure if there will ever be an end in sight. I've been contemplating looking for a new job but that in and of itself is pretty stressful, and not sure I'm ready for a life-changing career change just yet. But that being said, I barely have time to eat at work and I'm on my feet all day and stressed out so when I come home, I'm starving, I binge and I zonk out and dont workout. That's been my life for the past few weeks. I do have control over what I do when I get home, I realize that, but I'm letting stress get the best of me and it's showing on the scale and in the mirror. Ive gained 3 lbs and not only that I just feel mushy and my "love handles" have returned :(

I'm definitely missing out on the party here. Welcome, Wendy and Steph! I've been reading along even though I havent posted much at all. I usually read the post around 1am!

I'm still signed up for WW, though have been doing nothing on the site except tracking my weight still on weigh in day. I need to pull myself together, but not sure how to at the moment, working 12+ hour days and getting by on 4-5 hours of sleep. I'm burning the candles at both ends!

Shereta....you're kickin' butt and I bow down to you and your constant and unwavering dedication, commitment and motivation. I'm going to have to check out the Dukan Diet you mentioned.

Well enough rambling about nothing! Just wanted to let you know I'm still alive and trying to claw my way back to the top!

Wendy, you won't believe this, but, Imax3 is one of my top favs. It's up there with intensity. CCC is crazy cardio. I don't know where Cathe comes up with this stuff.

Steph, concerning CCC again, I cant roll on my back from a standing position, roll back forward and jump up in the air. I have to use my step at 10 inches with my mat on top to soften the blow. So, i roll onto my step backwards, then spring up. It's really crazy to watch me, I'm sure. So, you get the super amazing award for doing it. Wow. But for now, walking is definitely acceptable. ;)

Stacy, I'm so sorry about to hear the status of your life. Please know it's a season, and seasons dont last forever. Good luck sorting through it all and clawing your way back to the top. The Dukan Diet may be something you should look into. I normally have lots of energy and I've been very successful so far.

It's 6am here (been up since 5) and of course, we got to bed late last night, so I'm super tired. I'm going to find a short upper body and cardio workout to do. Wow, I need more coffee right now.

Editing to add in my workout was the Firm's Jiggle Free Arms. I earned 4 aps

Is anyone doing the July 4th challenge with me? I'm on week 4, but I lost track of who else is doing it.

Shereta

Good morning all
Back is still not being nice to me... considering all the core and abs work i do for her i am not too pleased by her lack of respect!

Stacy: So sorry your life sucks right now. At least you know when you hit the bottom the only way left is UP:p I sympathize and my positive vibes are with you. Its so hard to stay on track when all you want to do is sit and eat lots of chocolate!

Shereta: I am so with you on the 4th of july challenge (even though i am Canadian:D) not sure that i will get even close to my goal but i shall try! I am really into trying the clean eating as well as the WW but...we,ll see

Wendy: Are you the one that starts the STS thread. I get such a kick out of reading it but since i am not offically starting it until next sept i haven,t joined in...you guys crack me up! I am a shorty too.. 5ft 4 and 3/4 and 128..

BTW sorry for all the punctuation errors...I am at work and my keyboard is French and all the stuff is mixed up and drives me nuts...

Hi Ladies,

So my goal of checking in here every other day is not happening. Since my pal Wendy gave me the kickstart I needed, I'm down 3lbs...again. A loss is a loss and I'll take it.

Shereta-I do the same thing in CCC, using the riser only. It's just enough to make the move doable for me. Sometimes I do the alternate move though. What's the July 4th challange?

Steph-sorry your back is bothering you. I have more back issues as I get older, more aches and pains I guess. For me, doing cardio seems to help my back. I think warming up the mucles and getting the blood flowing seems to help. Hang in there!

Stacy-wow, you're life sounds pretty hectic right now. Do you always work 12 hour shifts? I'm trying to get back into the habit of using the WW site. Some days I'm really good, other days not so much. I do have a paper tracker and that helps for when I can't get online.

Wendy-I'm here...I'm here:) We used to have a much larger group but it seems to be dwindling.

Have a great day ladies!

Good Morning.

Bicep DOMS arrived in a timely fashion as expected. :)

This morning was STS D24 Back. That's it. I ran out of time. Spent too much time on the pc this morning. Oh well.

Stacy:: Thanks for the welcome! :) Sorry your job is taking it all out of you lately. That's a bummer. I hope things start to ease up a bit for you soon so that you have time to focus on YOU a little bit.

Shereta:: Ew. Lack of sleep is no fun. Been there many times. Sorry. :( So what exactly is the challenge you are talking about? I know I read about it but I wasn't checking in here at the time so I didn't commit it to memory. IMAX 3 is a fave of many including our own Diana!

Steph:: Love the lack of respect comment about your back! LOL Yes-I am the Fit_mommy from the STS New Year's Challenger's thread. Glad we amuse you. We amuse eachother too! LOL :D 128# at your height sounds like a good weight already. How much are you trying to lose if you don't mind my asking. :)

Diana:: Good job on the 3# loss now add another pound to it this week!;)

We started the July 4th challenge 3 weeks ago. We'd set a specific goal to try to loose before then. I was shooting for 10lbs. I have 6-7 lbs to go I think.

Steph, that keyboard must be a trip to type on.

Shereta:: Well I have a goal for myself to be at a certain weight by tmrw's weigh in. Not sure if I will make it but I'll be close! :D Once I hit that initial goal I am taking the weight loss pound by pound because I'm not sure how much more I want to lose. It all depends on the mirror. That being said I guess the challenge won't work for me but I'll def be here to cheer you on! Speaking of which-great job on the weight loss so far!!! :)

Well wendy as for my desired weight loss i only want to be what i was last year...around 120-125ish...but as you get closer to 40 (im 39 and my 40 bday is in august) those suckers are hard to keep off! I am not wanting to be crazy thin at all just want the premenaupause protection plan as i call it...i figure if i get myself to 120 i have a little leeway when everything starts falling...i have already started pre=menopause early..i have some of the symptoms...lucky moi;)

i have been trying to lose these last few since january and like i have said before these little suckers want to stay and they are looking for friends to join them!

Steph:: I hear ya girl. Loud and clear! I am technically VERY happy where I am at right now but I want to try and lose a few more pounds to be a bit ahead of the game for when I go on vacation in August! Plus I would love to be a bit leaner for swimsuit season anyway cause why not, right?! ;)

Steph I couldve written exactly the same thing. We're the same age and same target weight range. It's tough keeping things in check! It doesnt help being short either!

Good Morning Ladies.

This may be my last post for the weekend. I am home today b/c I have a to do list to take care of before we head to the casinos for the long weekend. WOOT WOOT!

My work out for this morning will be STS D23 Legs for sure and cardio and abs only if time allows. I WILL leave town knowing M2 is COMPLETED! YES!:D

Today was my weigh in day. Up .2#. Not a great thing but TTOM is coming and aside from that sh*t happens. I'm not getting upset about it. It was a wierd week on the scale of ups and downs to begin with so I am not really surprised! Overall though, I am thrilled with my results and am letting this one go. It was bound to happen so it did. It's all good. The only thing that's a bummer is that I didn't hit goal by today like I had hoped to but I am soooo close and considering what my weekends have been like all month, I did good so I'm happy.:)

Okay, gotta finish the java and hit the weights! If I have time I'll peek back in later but if not, have a fabulous holiday weekend (hopefully no one has to work it!) and I will be back Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning!

Ciao Bellas!

Happy Friday, Ladies. workout today was Step Moves. I stopped before the challenge at the end b/c by that point I'd already burned over 500 calories and with this diet I dont want to expend too many calories first thing in morning. Still ended up with 600 though.

Have fun, Wendy. See ya next week. Im going out of town this weekend too. Fun, Fun, Fun.

Shereta

hi girls! just came back from spending 4 hours at the hospital with my son and i didn't even eat any crap!:D
I came home and ate my cream (pureed asparagus with a 1/2 potato in it for cream) soup!

Wendy and shereta have a great weekend!

Stacy: isn't pre men wonderful! I will try to keep the extra friends that want to join my tummy off bay this weekend!

Todays plan is to try some sort of step cardio...hopefully the disrespectful back will comply:D I am itching to try ccc but i think i shall wait until monday earliest..

I haven't been weighing myself this week since i am pms ing so i hiope i am not in for a terrible shock (not shock cardio) when i step on the scale!

Shereta i am going to try ccc with my heart rate monitor next week... i am dying to know how many cals it burns...betcha ill get all excited and then it will read 200 or something....

Steph, Im so proud of you for not eating the crap. Leave CCC alone until you are much better cause Cathe will have you twisting, jumping, tucking and running all around the place. But, definitely use your HR monitor. When I check my pulse, it starts calulating for whatever reading it gets. So, I check it often as my heart rate adjusts to whatever we are doing so I can get the most accurate pulse reading thus giving me the most accurate total number of calories burned.

Im still liking the Dukan diet. I had some serious constipation today, but I grabbed a book and waited patiently for nature to run its course and it did. yeah. I'll be adding some benefiber to my daily food intake from now on. teehee

Shereta

Ok ladies wish me luck. I will be doing my first workout in weeks. I'm not looking forward to that out of shape feeling I will be experiencing. The lucky workout chosen will be Jillian's No More Trouble Zones.

positive vibes stacy:D
hope all goes well..

I am in a super pissy mood today..my back hurts, my kids are driving me nuts and i gained weight on the scale:mad:
lets hope all this goes away before weigh in on monday...if i see an increase i am going to flip out!

Went for a walk with my dad this am and burned a measely 100 caloiries. Man do i hate that..
yesterday i did shoulders and arms p90x inished it off with a 20 min hi-reps shouldrs and arms mix from cathe...not as sore as expected..

So my goal for this weekend is: NO CHOCOLATE OR DESERT AT ALL (actually this should be for the next week) i also hope to be able to do a real cardio workout without killing my back as well as a sts legs of some sort (not going to push it by trying plyo just yet)

Stacy let me know how it goes if you are in the mood...i think we are the only two actually around this weekend:cool:

Hey Steph, hope your day gets better! I've had many days where everything is just annoying!

The workout went pretty well. I have some knee issues so for two of the compound moves that involved front lunges/bicep curls and side lunges/bicep curls I just substitued straight leg lifts and side leg lifts, not as intense but I know my knees wont ache!

I've got family coming over for a cookout tomorrow so my afternoon has been spent grocery shopping, and vaccuuming. I'd like to say I hope for no dessert, but I'm making it and I love it so I know I'll eat it! I do have some fruit that I can eat, not as fun as a pudding based dessert, but such is life!
