Weight Watchers - 2nd week of January

My FIRST week on WW

Hey WW comrads!!

So, this is officially my FIRST week of the new program! I gotta say that I am VERY impressed with the new Activity Points selection. I signed up yesterday but kinda think that Sunday is an odd day for weigh-in.

I'm also a bit taken aback by some of new PointsPlus counts for certain foods, but not really surprised. Like my 100cal, high fiber Thomas english muffin is now 3 points vs. 2. Oh and the points value on wine went WAY up! I knew it was too good to be true in the original Points! :p It's really got me researching all the food I've been used to eating.

Well, off to begin STS today! Yeahhhh!

Happy Monday!
Pam

Hi Pam,

Welcome to the check-in! Yes, it is a bit shocking what the PointsPlus values for carbs and alcohol, but keep telling yourself that in return, all fruits are free (even bananas)! I used to drink the occasional Manhattan back when it was 5 Points, but now that it is 10 PointsPlus, I've cut way back.

Thanks for the explanation! So I wonder if the ppl who have 29 points also have the same weekly points??

I have 29 Daily Points, and 49 Weekly Points

Thanks for starting the thread! I finally made it to a meeting on Saturday, and I spent the entire day today just surfing and posting, I think I know just about every complaint and compliment about the PP program from today's surf fest on those boards.

Stacy, I believe everyone get 49 weeklies and that number does not change for anyone. But the Dailies can go extremely high for people based on age, weight, height, I saw numbers like 71 points as the Daily allotment, I guess it makes sense, but that's just hard to get used to seeing. The very lowest number for Dailies is 29.

My take away from the WW boards, those that are doing well, have the GHGs in common. They all work hard to meet them everyday.

I'm concerned about being away over the weekend, it's kind of soon to put myself to the test so soon, but I'll have to try and plan ahead with the food choices I have. My weeklies reset on Saturday, so that helps too. I think I can manage, if nothing else, I'll just resort to my previous low carb knowledge to get me through the weekend without a gain. A maintain will be more than fine, most of the weekend will be spent sitting, so not much going for me in the health or fitness department this weekend. I was gonna wait until after this trip, but then figured I could put this off indefinitely if I start down that path.

Well good night! Be back soon!
