Are Imax 2 and Kick, Punch, & Crunch good for weight loss? What DVDs would you recommend for someone wanting to lose over 20 pounds? Thanks for all you do!
 
I think any of the cardio DVDs Cathe has and you'll certainly want to add in weight training as well. If you're short on time, you might take a look at some of the circuit DVDs. Imax 2 and Imax 3 are ones that will most definitely get your heart rate up there. Kick Punch Crunch isn't quite the intensity, but still a good calorie burner and great for the core as well.

My Go wear fit told me I burned a little over 350 calories doing Kick Punch and Crunch. I was surprised. I expected to be closer to 200 calories. I only burn 250 doing plyo legs.
 
Hi Snitker! Any of my cardio based workouts are good calorie burners which support weight loss (as well as provide a whole host of other health benefits). But keep in mind cardio activity is only a portion of the weight loss/fat loss fitness equation. You also need to do weight work for a variety of reasons, one of which will help increase your lean muscle mass. The more lean muscle mass you have, the more your body burns calories like a furnace daily (even when you aren't working out). Of course these extra burned calories add up to weight loss too.

Have fun, ease into your new workout program, and moify anything that doesn't suit you. Listen to your body and try to have one full day of rest per week too. Good Luck!
