Hi guys,

I am looking for a weight loss rotation that includes exercising 4-5 times a week. How should I incorporate cardio and weight together for the most weight loss ? can you suggest a general rotation for me ?

Also, I have Tae Bo Get Ripped, both tapes, and I just LOVE them ! they really get me sweatin... Should I consider them as cardio only or cardio + toning ? Can I do them 2 days in a row ? can I do strenght training the same day or is it too much ?

Thanks, Anat.

Hi Anat,

Maybe you could tell us which tapes you have other than Tae Bo so that we can better advise you about a rotation? Also, do you do any other exercising other than videos, like running, bicycling, etc.?

To respond to your Tae Bo question, I use Tae Bo as a cardio day only. If I am doing one with a bunch of leg lifts and ab work, I try not to do it on a day before I plan to strength train.

Thanks Cruncholi - these are the tapes I have...

From Cathe:
All CTX
PS Series
I-Max
MIS
Wedding tape
Circuit Max

And others:
Tae Bo Get Ripped (both)
"Breakthru Blast" (circuit cardio + weights)
K. Voight cardio + weights cicuit (can't remember the name)
Reebok Circuit training
Firm: cardio (with light weights)

Thanks !!!!

Anat.

forgot to mention...

I can only work out for up to an hour at a time (intermediate-advanced level). After an hour I seem to get tired and I don't have any strenght for anything else.

Also, I love circuit workouts and I would like to incorporate them into my routine together with Tae Bo and step...

Thanks again !

Anat.

RE: forgot to mention...

Hi Anat,
If you are trying to lose weight (like me), here is a rotation that I had good luck with about a year ago, that incorporates circuit training:

* Circuit Max
* I-Max
* Reebok Step Circuit
* Tae Bo
* MIS

I also did a lot of walking during this rotation. I would workout in the morning and then walk in the evening (nothing too strenuous, but at a good clip).

Good Luck!

thanks ! But...

can I do circuit training every day ? Or should I take a day off (or do cardio) in between ?

RE: thanks ! But...

Hi Anat,
If you do the rotation I suggested in the exact order, you would be doing 2 circuit training workouts with one day in between, which is fine. Then, your third weight training day would be MIS (not a circuit).
Good luck!
