weight loss plan

Hey everyone, I havent posted here in ages but had a question for everyone. In the last 3-4 months I have steadily put on 10 lbs although not much in my workouts or eating has changed. Needless to say I'm pretty frustrated and have been floundering around trying to figure out what to do. I've really lost my way with this and can't seem to stick with anything for more than a week. I tried Weight Watchers but found taht it was way too low in calories for me. Tried upping the cals to 1800 and gained 3 lbs in 1 wk. I'm rededicating myself today. I'm wondering if part of the problem is I've been only doing BodyPump for wieght lifting instead of "regular" heavy weights. What do you think? I'm in training for a half marathon so I need to run 3 days a week, plus I teach a step class and a spinning class, plus I do Power Yoga 3-5 days a week. I'm going to start doing the clean eating (see earlier posts) and cut out white flour, sugar etc. Should I go back to regular weights?

With all the exercise you're doing, you may not be eating enough calories. If you don't consume enough calories, you body will go into starvation mode and will not burn as many as you'd like. Try eating a little more (of course, cutting out the sweets, starches and junk food).

I'm in much the same boat as you. I've gained 13 lbs in the last few months & can't seem to get it off no matter what. I, too, tried WW to find that I AM STARVING all the time. I'm trying putting more protein in my diet. I'm keeping a food journal to see if that helps. I'm brutally honest there. I do pretty good most days with eating right--today I had 2 chocolate covered pretzels, shame on me! We'll see if the protein helps. I work out with Firm & Cathe tapes 3 to 6 days a week depending on my schedule & how tired I am.

I guess I didn't really give you any answers, but hope it helps to know that you have company in your misery.
