LAST EDITED ON Nov-12-02 AT 07:28PM (Est)[p]I'd go crazy without my weekly cheat day. First it keeps me on track throughout the week because I know that I'll be able to eat whatever I want on the cheat day. Second, when the cheat day comes along I can't eat that much junk because I've been so good all week. Plus I think that eating a little more than usual once a week helps to keep my metabolism a little shaken up.
But I still don't allow myself to eat anything. Like I wouldn't buy a bag of cookies. Instead I might buy only one cookie at the store. Or I might get a doughnut at Krispy Kreme...just one or two (200 calories each) instead of a dozen. And if I go through the drive thru I still won't get fries and a hamburger. I'll get one or the other. Frankly I've discovered that since I eat healthy 95% of the time I don't have much of an appetite for greasy fried food anymore. I'm careful never to buy anything that will leave leftovers for the next day. I don't count calories on that day either but I've venture to guess that I don't end up eating that many calories but my fat content on those days. BTW, my cheat day is usually friday or saturday and I almost always lose weight on the weekends. All week while I eat healthy my weight stays the same then after I cheat a little the scale shows the 2 pound lose or so.
