Wegmans Food Store

I finally was able to check one out. Wow, if I had one near me, grocery shopping would take me forever! You can spend an entire day there. Everything looked and smelled delicious! I only had 20 mins, so I couldn't be very thorough, but what I saw was impressive! I bought a HUGE head of cauliflower for 2 bucks. They had purple and orange ones too! I'll have to allow for more time next time I'm in the area. Does anyone shop there regularly?

I'm sooo spoiled by my Wegmans - anytime I'm out of town and visit a PriceChopper or Hannaford, etc I'm so disappointed by what they DON'T have!

Our Weggie's is a little smaller than the one I visited in Rhochester last year. They do have the best produce in town, but I do my regular shopping at another store that is a bit lower in prices.

They just opened a Wegmans near me. It is HUGE!!! It is so crowded though, that I will probably not go back unless it's like 2 a.m. in the morning. My DH and I only last 30 minutes before all the pushing and shoving drove our blood pressure through the roof. It was an awesome store though and I'm hoping things calm down enough to where we can actually shop there.

My daughter goes to SUNY at Buffalo & shops there all the time, I get her monthly credit card bills. I was there with her once, it was incredible, nothing like that here on Long Island in NY

Being from Rochester, home of Wegmans, I would not shop any where else!

But seriously, Wegmans has the best of everything and you do not have to spend a fortune. If you are careful to stay away from the gimmicks, you will find their prices are really a very competitive. Now having said this, I WILL go to a farmers market during the short local season. However, Danny Wegmans does make an effort to support local growers!

****If they have the [font color=red]Spicy Red Lentil Chili[/font] try it! I highly recommend it. I buy it cold sometimes or hot if I am out all day and need a healthy quick lunch, like yesterday. It is cheaper ans healthier than fast food.
