How is everyone's weekend going so far? We are having fabulous weather. Not dreary but also not over 23 degrees so great for outdoors activities!

My W/O today: PIlates Back-care work, 2 sets of sit n'slides with gliders and on to Millionaire Hoy's 35 minute 500-calorie Cardio workout which was a sweat fest for me! He always does that!!

See you all later! :)

It's ok they will understand.

Today was a rest day, shopping with dh for our upcoming vacation.

I talked to the gym owner. He will reimburse me the cost of the liability insurance and use me on Thursdays for now. And as a sub (like I need another sub type job) for when the trainer is off. He says that he will talk to the trainer and see if he wants to continue teaching 3 days a week.
Now I need the CPR certification and I should be good. I will work for the cost of my gym membership to start. I am ok with that, it was my suggestion.

Have a great weekend!

Hi everyone. Today I did rippedism back, cardio ,+ another total body workout. Great weather today all round. See you all tomorrow.

;) that's cute about another sub! Glad it is all coming along. Getting CPR is always a good idea. You have reminded me that I ought to update mine.

Hi ladies!
Yesterday was a rest day for me. In the morning I went into the city center to meet a Brazilian friend that was travelling in Europe. I hadn't seen her since 2002! Fortunately neither of us had changed much with the years. That was lovely catching up and then all afternoon evening we had my in-laws over, m.i.l with her bf and b.i.l. and his kids.

Today my son had a playdate so as soon as I got home I started figuring out which Live w/o's I wanted to do. I started with you can do anything for a minute. Good w/o again, but not hing about it made me scream I must try this one again soon. By the end I was dripping with sweat and pretty tired. I then did 80s style cardio. Fun w/o but really crap audio quality so will not return to that one either. Once done I showered and then lay down to relax for a bit and then it was already time to go pick up my son. Weekends are seriously too short, but I am happy I managed a double both Friday and Sunday.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday ladies.

Hi ladies, sorry I did not check-in yesterday. These two days I have been trying more Cathe live, yesterday was boxing cardio with stability ball abs, really enjoyed it, while today was Cross fire express and a a dance inspired workout with Jessica Smith. Yesterday morning I had my left arm seen by an orthopedician and I found out that I have more problems than I thought: the Carvain tendinitis, tenosynovitis and epicondylitis. The elbow will be treated with ultrasounds, while the wrist with Tecar therapy trying to avoid surgery. So no weights for at least three months! The doctor said I can use bands for my workouts but nothing stressing the joints. So, this is quite depressing, although I know I can still put in very good workouts. Today I tried to look for Cathe's workouts usig tha band. Of course my main concern is for the upper body, as for the lower I can still use the barbell or no weights and still work hard. The same for abs, but the upper body... I feel so frustrated since I had just started to see amazing results on my upper body after starting lifting weights and Sts. Any suggestions by your side on how to keep those upper muscles toned up are welcome!

Hi Everyone,

Today I took a rest day and went for a long walk in the woods with a friend. Sandy - sorry to read about your wrist/arm problems! I pray you heal.

hello to everyone else. great workouts and rest days.
Annette - CPR? i haven't done that in years.
henriette - I think I tried that Cathe Live when I first subscribed and liked it
Elsie - good workout! I don't do enough pilates

Great work on your Cathe Lives girls!! :) Oh, nothing like a walk in the woods Ceci to ground us back to nature!! Love it.
((hugs)) Sandy. Glad you are having it seen to. Sometimes we leave things like this too long. I've dealt with some tenosynovitis myself & it is a pain!! I got it from being a clerk though (I had three fingers that went completely dead)! lol. I found rest & anti-inflammatory supplements like Boswellia serrata helped a bit. I still get some therapy on the elbow above it for pre-hab when I feel it may be coming on again.

Today I did a Barlates 30 minute loop (harder than it looks) while wearing weighted gloves too, added on some extra post deltoid work with light weights + a 30 min Tabata workout from fitnessGlo.

I think this one would very much suit you now Sandy. It is probably not as tough as some of your usual workouts. I will give you the link if it might be of some interest to you. Linda (of Barlates) has a few band upper body workouts that I find effective and a challenge. Her triceps ones are Killer!! This is the one I did today: http://www.workoutdvdworld.com.au/welcome/upper-body-downloads/resistance-loop-upper-body/ I have a few others & I use her freebies on youtube as well. Always check youtube first as many of them are up for free. :) Catherine St. Pierre has a couple of videos that aren't bad too! https://www.youtube.com/user/physikinaction using bands.
Take care.

Hi Elsie and Ceci thanks for your words and incouragement and suggestions!
Elsie, I have been looking for Linda Wooldridge workouts on Amazon and on youtube, and to Sleek technique as well for some good workouts. Actually I would prefer not to buy any new dvds, as you said there are so many on the web. Today I tried a Jessica Smith workout for the upper body that used light weights and a tubing. Well, I did not like it, I struggle for good form when using the tubing. It was short so I put in Ripped with hiit upper body circuit and did a timesaver premix. I skipped some exercises like push-ups, used light light weights and stopped whenever I felt uncomfortable. I think I will do no heavy lifting at all, that is out of the question, but for the rest I will do my usual workouts just using no weights or very light ones - no more than 2 kgs, modifying and skipping when necessary and just listening to my body. Stay strong, enjoy...
