Week to Week 10/19/20-10/25/20

Hi everyone,

Today was Tony Horton 10m Trainer - Cardio, Upper Body, and Lower Body. I really like these. At first I thought, 10 minutes...really? I even previewed the upper body. It look easy, but It was a good challenge with a band.

Have a great day!

Thursday: was a quick workout from Stephanie Huckabee's Powerfit Harmony Collection
Sunday: Cathe Athletic Training and got my butt kicked!!
Today: The Method All in One....Useless workout!!! Going to remove from my excel sheet.

Cooper, sulking last night while I was looking at some Cathe workouts. Cooper, feels she needs to have a dog themed workout!!!

Yesterday was a two mile Leslie Sansone walk.

@ddsadie I always found Tony's workouts WAY too intense. Can't get through any of them. My hat's off to you. :)

@jacmar I agree. HIs personality is too large for my taste. :)

@Mad-Dog88 wouldn't that be adorable? A dog-themed workout... :)

And I'm SUPER EXCITED that Cathe's Perfect30 workouts will be shipping soon!!! :D :D :D

I’m still sticking to KY & walking though yesterday I found time for some Pilates magic circle and band work.

Sherri, that’s a great idea to pull out 10m Trainer! I forgot about that one.
Geoff, I swear someone did a wo where they used their small dog as resistance weight - or was it a cat.
Lisa, Yes Tony definitely has a strong presence in his WOs.
Carol, I also got the notice that my label was printed for the new DVDs & can’t wait to get them

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, everyone! Today was TLT Better Burn Better Buns. This is the one they filmed while tropical storm Tammy rolled in, and near the end of the workout it's really dark, windy, and rainy out there! :)

Hi all

Today was CL Vertical Loading and yoga. It’s rainy and damp but humid. My least favorite mid to late October NJ weather.

Have a great day.

Hi all,

Today was 40m vinyasa yoga. I decided to do my own class since I use to teach yoga years ago. It's really hard to find yoga instructors that I click with. Have a great day.

Today's workout in the books!! Far better than yesterday's useless workout!!! Cooper, feels a good dog themed workout is tree climbs, squirrel chasing for cardio. However his idea of leg lifts and squats are different from ours :) :) Wish me luck off to bid on a rare out of production model aircraft. Hopefully, third time is the charm!!

Good morning, everyone! I was scheduled to do a two mile walk, but I was up most of the night with thunder and lightning, and just didn't feel like cardio today. The storms weren't severe, just LOUD. :) So instead I did Pure Strength Chest, Shoulders & Triceps. I love Cathe's Pure Strength series. Straightforward, solid strength training. :)

Hi Everyone,

I’m a day behind. Yesterday I did KY, Some band work to test out my new bands and a couple of Barlates cardio Workouts. I thought one Barlates WO would be similar to Leslie’s walking WOs but it really wasn’t. The other was 30 sec work 10 sec rest and was ok but I’m not going to sell our Treadmill or Spin bike!

Carol, I remember that TLT video and that storm. I really enjoy the fact that old DVDs can instantly remind me of what was going on around the time they were released - even without a huge plate glass window through which to watch it.

Sherri, I sometimes piece together my KY sessions but more often a bit of Pilates or restorative exercise. It’s really time efficient since you only get what you need and want.

Geoff, Did you get that model?

Lisa, I wish I could reliably stream at a speed where the screen was clear to see. I enjoy reading about your workouts.

Hi all:

Today‘s workout was CL Ready for Action Bootcamp. One of the reason I love Cathe Live so much is how many workouts you can choose from. It is $19.99 well spent.

Geoff - I love seeing all the FIRM workouts you do. I have a great fondness for the FIRM.

Hi Lannette, Carol and Sherri

Have a great day.

Hello everyone,

Today was KCM Build & Burn: Upper Body Supersets. My dog is coming along fine. It's been two weeks since the surgery. She didn't even have to wear the cone of shame. She has not licked her leg once. I guess we had already trained her not to lick her legs as she gets seasonal allergies and I have to apply medication to her legs. We always say "No lick lick"...lol. She has no fur on her inner legs and belly so they tend to be affected. Her scar is minimal too. Today we start new rehab exercises for her.

Hi Ladies,

Today, was Jane Fonda Workout with Weights!! Used 10 & 15lb weights and it males for a GREAT upper body workout.

Lannette: Nope I didn't win :( I put my bid in with 15 seconds left and got outbid by $65.00!!! However, I'm talking to the buyer on a potential trade.

Lisa: Yes, I have a special place in my heart for the Firm. Firm Tough Tape 2 got me hooked. If you have any Firm memorabilia you want to sell let me know!!

Sheri: Can you use Benadryl? I use it on Cooper when needed.

Good morning! I did Cardio Party from Cathe's LITE series for the first time. The impact is fine, but way too many boxing moves for my taste. Just never warmed up to the kickboxing/boxing stuff. I did about 95% of the workout today and felt fine, but I just don't care for the upper body moves. Then again, it's easy enough to modify this and do my own moves, so I'll definitely do the workout again. The warmup choreography reminds me of some of her step workouts. :)

I bought this one along with some other lower impact cardio workouts of hers I still don't have, because I'm desperate to improve my cardio function, and my ability to do metabolic-type workouts. I have all of Tracie Long's workouts from the Focus series on through her latest ones, and they're 90% metabolic-type moves. I can barely do them. There's no organic reason that I know of why my cardio ability is so mediocre, but it's always been that way. Even when I was younger, in better shape, and working out all the time. When everyone was running for exercise in the late 70s and early 80s, I was in college and beyond, much thinner than I am now, and I still hated it. LOL!

But I keep trying to improve anyway, and thank goodness for all the low impact cardio workouts available. I'm coming up on one year since I began working out again in ernest, after a ten-year or so hiatus for health and personal reasons. Now that my husband has been cleared to drive and can therefore do the grocery shopping on Saturdays once again, I'm back to working out 7 days a week. And since the weight lifting is going great and I'm constantly upping the weights, I decided to push it on the cardio as well.

My rotation for November is fluid right now because I intend to include the Perfect 30 workouts as soon as I have them. They shipped yesterday! Hooray!! :)

Hi all

Today was CL Iron Legs And yoga.

Lannette: Did you know that you can purchase Cathe Live workouts as downloads? I was not sure if your internet connection allowed for that either.

Carol Rose: I also have never loved cardio but have had to evolve. I am 53 and have been working out consistently for close to 40 years. The only break I really took was when I had my two children 23 and 25 years ago. My main workouts were either straight heavy lifting or circuit type work. Around 45 parts of me (mainly hips and shoulders) starting bothering me for the first time. I had to cut back on the heavy lifting and have more moved more towards all circuit/metabolic and cardio work. It’s been a process as I love to lift, but I want to continue to work out as long as possible.

Sherri: I am glad your dog continues to improve!

Geoff: I am pretty sure I got rid of all of my VHS FIRM workouts but still have quite a few DVD’s that I never use. Let me know if there are any you are looking for and I can send to you.

I really wish you could get out of this weather pattern of no sun, humid, damp and occasionally rain :(

Have a great day.

@jacmar thank you for sharing that! :) I'm 63 and pretty good at ignoring the body parts that bug me. LOL! :) My lifting isn't as heavy as it was about 15 years ago, but still pretty darn good considering my age and the fact I have arthritis in like every joint. ;) I find the lifting really helps with the aches and pains.
