Good morning! I did Cardio Party from Cathe's LITE series for the first time. The impact is fine, but way too many boxing moves for my taste. Just never warmed up to the kickboxing/boxing stuff. I did about 95% of the workout today and felt fine, but I just don't care for the upper body moves. Then again, it's easy enough to modify this and do my own moves, so I'll definitely do the workout again. The warmup choreography reminds me of some of her step workouts.
I bought this one along with some other lower impact cardio workouts of hers I still don't have, because I'm desperate to improve my cardio function, and my ability to do metabolic-type workouts. I have all of Tracie Long's workouts from the Focus series on through her latest ones, and they're 90% metabolic-type moves. I can barely do them. There's no organic reason that I know of why my cardio ability is so mediocre, but it's always been that way. Even when I was younger, in better shape, and working out all the time. When everyone was running for exercise in the late 70s and early 80s, I was in college and beyond, much thinner than I am now, and I still hated it. LOL!
But I keep trying to improve anyway, and thank goodness for all the low impact cardio workouts available. I'm coming up on one year since I began working out again in ernest, after a ten-year or so hiatus for health and personal reasons. Now that my husband has been cleared to drive and can therefore do the grocery shopping on Saturdays once again, I'm back to working out 7 days a week. And since the weight lifting is going great and I'm constantly upping the weights, I decided to push it on the cardio as well.
My rotation for November is fluid right now because I intend to include the Perfect 30 workouts as soon as I have them. They shipped yesterday! Hooray!!
