Wednesday Check In

Yeah, did I say get things done? Well, I fell asleep for over an hour! Oops! Guess I needed it!

Jen, I hope your pups are okay. I hadn't heard about the recall. Don't speed on your way home!;)

Kristan, We have way too many strollers too but I don't really LOVE any of them. There is a Bumbleride one I wnat that pushes like a knife on melted butter! I want it so bad but can't justify it....yet! I will likely get it though!:D

Trish, GO FOR THE STROLLER!!!! Not only is it a stroller, but if you use it for workouts, it's also your shrink!:D Very worth the money!

Stephanie, We haven't heard from you either - hope all is well!

Hello too to JenP, Candra, Lisa, Autumn, .....anybody else we're forgetting???

I think I paid close to $400 for my double jogging stroller. LOVE IT. Baby JOgger brand...

Jenny Lind cribs grow into twin beds---for around $100. I'd really like to see this $1000 crib! We (mom & dad) just got our first bedroom set (after 17 years of marriage) this year. We spent about $5000 on the set & hope it'll last a lifetime. I thought that was alot of money. We've always have had mix and match sets from garage sales or hand-me-downs. My little boys are growing out of their Wal-mart toddler beds---but it works. I keep telling myself that I need to be content with what I have---and I don't want to work more than 30 hrs per week. THIS is what's most important to me right now. It's sooooooo difficult sometimes!

Melanie~ I hear ya on the being content. We still have yet to sell our house so we are okay for 1 more month then we will be pulling money from DHs retirement to pay the next 2 payments and we have 60 days to pay it back w/out pentalty. We will take it from savings if we have to and pay it back, but the savings is earning us money and w/ the market bad right now his retirement is losing money so we are goign to dip into it. We had to leave our entertainment center in VA and our desk because there was no room on the moving truck so we really need those items and I am having no luck finding them on craigslist or freecycle or at yard sales. All the stuff that was IN our desk is on the floor in our dining room and all the stuff that was in our entertainment center is now on our living room floor and our TV is on the coffee table. I know many many people are so much worse off though so I am trying to keep it in perspective, but seeing the crap sit around is about driving me nuts in my nesting stage of wanting to organize the house. LOL If the house sells I will spend a little on the items, but till it does I can't jusitify spending the money. The stroller is on hold till the house sells as well, but I am praying by May it will have sold.

Well I got a small nap too and my bathrooms scrubbed. Someone is coming to fix our sink that is leaking tomorrow so i wanted to have it all cleaned up. We might head out for a walk and then to the park. It's really nice here right now. The humidity for the last month has been terrible so it's great to have this weather so we better get out and enjoy it.

Hey guys! Sorry I've been MIA, but I've been lurking and reading posts. I just can't seem to catch up with you ladies! Anyway, it's busy with work and the kids' activities since school started. I don't get much computer time outside of work and I have been busy at work trying to finish up projects before I go on leave so not much time to post.

Hi Melanie! It's good seeing you post again.

Kate and Stephanie - You guys are up next right? I thought there was someone else in October also.

I'm doing my low impact cardio, walking, and upper body weights. I've been doing squats minus the weights since I figure my pg weight is enough. I haven't gained much weight the last couple weeks, but I feel sooooo much huger. My maternity pants are getting tight! Anyway, I miss you ladies and hope you guys are doing well. Has anyone heard from Morris? I hope she's doing well.

Lisa

Hi,
I am with Lisa on feeling VERY busy lately. By the way...where is Stephanie??? Having a baby a little early?
I just don't have enough hours in the day right now to keep up with you busy gals daily, but I am here reading all of your posts (most nights):(.
I went to the OB again today (I go weekly), and all is well. My tummy is itching like mad:mad:, though.
Kristan-Mimi is adorable! It always looks like she's up to something with that little grin;).
Take care!
-Jen

Hi everyone, posting a little late so maybe everyone is in bed by now
My dogs seem to be normal, thank goodness. My husband said the bulldog didnt really throw up, it was more of a spit up. i'm still going to return the pedigree tho. its making him breakout i think. bulldogs are so sensitive anyway. I gave him another bath today and he's palying with my shihtzu as usual and just being a big dumb oaf :) I love those little guys

So..i got the other crib, it was here when i got home. they look similar, but it also looks used. i cant find the info on it anywhere. i have no idea what brand it is or anything. both are taken apart so i cant see what they look like fully and compare their qality. My first impression is, that i'm not thrilled with either of them. Isnt that terrible of me? :(

Anyway i did long workouts today. I did 4DS bootcamp/bi's and tri's, followed by 4DS Lower Intesntiy Step/shoulders, calves and core. So i worked out about two hours. Kinda needed it since i had two days off. I should be able to get workouts in thur/fri/sat/sun hopefully

I have my next ultrasound Friday, yay. Wish me luck!

Hope you all have a great evening, bed time soon. one more day at work..tomorrow is my friday as usual and work has been kicking my booty. I swear the crime rate multiplied this week, its quite insane..

I"m sorry Jen. You will either have to settle or look for something else. You can always donate them to single mother. It feels good to help out others. I hope your Friday goes well. I've been dragging my feet this week and I"m not even pregnant! I think it's the time of year for me, I have a touch of SAD (seasonal defective disorder).

I finally got my mother's loss ring. I thought I'd be all choked up, but I'm doing really good. My X-coworker brought her 3 day old newborn to the pharmacy on Monday. I was so scared! I was praying I wouldn't freak out...and I didn't. She was so precious & I was/am soooo happy for her. I even was checking out he hair,feet,fingers...the normal me stuff. Just another milestone in my healing journey...

Hi Melanie, im happy to hear that you are doing better. Keep up the good work, i know its hard. Its so hard to see babies when you go through something like that. They are precious, arent they?

About the crib, i cant donate it for free since i paid for one, but i guess i could sell it cheap and give one away. We are so tight financially but you are right, doing good for others is always a nice thing. maybe i can make a few dollars of one and gift the other, but then i have no crib and its driving me crazy! Who woulda thought crib hunting would be this hard?? Sigh..not to mention i am THE worst decision maker, meaning i cant make one and keep changing my mind!

You don't have to make your decision now! You have lots of time, you might want to relax for now. You never know what kind of deal might come your way in the next several months...that will give you time to sell your sofa sleeper (or whatever that was in the baby's room). :p
