Wedding Videographers?

Cathletes, I'm looking into expanding my video business, I have been doing construction video for the last three years and I'm interested in adding weddings to my menu. Are any of you in that field? If so, how did you go about finding that first client? Is this field a good idea or should I just give it up and find a job waitressing?

I have a friend who is a photographer, she is younger and just starting out...She found out that a young couple were getting married and she offered to photograph their wedding for free to build up her portfolio and get her name out there...I thought that was a good idea! The couple saw her work, and since they were strapped for cash, with a big wedding on a shoe string, lots of people to invite, they were happy to take her up on it.
