Wed Daily check in May 24

Hi all.

So after taking Motrin this morning my pain was ALMOST gone by 7am. At 10am I was still OKAY so I decided to give the run a shot and off to the gym I took. I ran 3.5 miles and didn't have ANY trouble!:+ When I purposely move in certain ways I can feel that I'm still a bit stiff/sore in areas but it's NOTHING like it was so hopefully this means it's on it's way out.:)

Sandra: Yeah, Joey says dadda and mamma but that's about it. It seems as though he really wants to talk though and appears to know exactly what he's "talking" about when he babbles! LOL He's been cruising for a while now and getting oh so close to taking those first "look ma! NO HANDS!" steps! It's such a joy to watch him progress!:+ Yeay for Kate! How old is she now?

Wonderful news on the shoulder/neck, Wendy. And high-5 on the long run!!

Isn't that baby-babbling so sweet? I love it. So, do you have the video camera charged up and ready for the big moment when he goes hands free? :) I agree with you; I love watching babies grow. Kate will be 8 months old tomorrow. Time sure flies!!! I need to update my picturetrail.

Cheers,
Sandra

Hannah,

A terrific travelling workout is KPC (although you just did part of it today). It doesn't take hardly any space, and no equipment. If you have more space, Cardio Kicks is also great for travelling (no equipment necessary).

If you can take some equipment, bring BootCamp and 8lb dumbells. Use the dumbells for all of the weight work (you'll end up lifting light for the bit of barbell work, but you still get a great workout). Use a stool in place of the high step (I've even used my suitcase, when staying in a hotel room).

If you are bringing the KPC/LG dvd and the BC/ME dvd, then do the ME abs instead of the KPC stability ball abs.

KickMax - again, no equipment necessary.

MIC hi/lo segment.

SJP hi/lo segment.

CTX Kickbox.

Cheers,
Sandra

Good evening fitness buddies...

I am taking a rest day today. I have to get up at 2:45 in the morning to start at 3, the system is going down at 11. I plan on mowing grass (pushing it) after I get off tomorrow so that will be my w/o.

Just two more days of this crazy week. DH has surgery scheduled Friday afternoon, so I'll have to start early again Friday morning since I am getting off early to go with him, ugh!! Friday will definitely be a rest day also.

Hey Guys!!

Ah... now I am the last one posting it seems. It's nice to have some sort of title I assume. Anyway, positive thoughts and prayers going out to your husband, Jane.

Wendy & Shelly hope you feel better.

I completed GS Chest & Triceps/ w/ Ab ripper tape. It was great. I am sore all over.

Have a FABULOUS day all!!!

Hello,

I've been mia lately because I've been checking in over at the runner's check in.

Sandra, welcome back to the land of caffeine :). I remember giving it up when I was pregnant with C.J. I held off for several months after he was born too, but one day I had an espresso, then another, and another, and now I'm a full fledged coffee-holic. :p

Heather, I was very moved by your post on the open discussion board, and I hope your new beginning is filled with happiness and peace. I know you'll reach your goals.

Jane, I hope all goes well with your husband's surgery.

Enjoy the rest of the evening!
Pamela

Oops, almost forgot -- today was a 2.5 mile run. :)

ETA One more thing, Carole and Becky, I used the bands i/o the pull up bar while I was on vacation, and they actually worked great. I had to experiment to get the right amount of resistance, but I really felt it in my back.
