We just had a bit of a shaker

Sitting at work - we suddenly heard a boom - kind of like someone slamming a door, then we felt the jolt! Had a nice little 4.4 earthquake. Fun!

And just to clarify - a 4.4 is big enough to be felt (kind of like someone coming up from behind and giving your chair a quick yank - at least that was what this one felt like) but not big enough to do damage.

Yep, felt it here too.... first one for us in a building that's over 100 years old (I think that's right) -- came through just fine.....

I heard they found a new fault there, oh great. I live in the San Fernando Valley and swear I feel all the little quakes. The last one we had here I was so relaxed doing some yoga with the bosu to help. I saw the patio blinds swaying. Normally quakes make me so nervous but that was the first time it didn't bother me! If I have to go, I'd rather be exercising!
