We found Max!

Well after a hellish week we got a phone call on Saturday morning telling us someone spotted him about 2 km north of the kennel. I drove as fast as I could out there and ran towards the bunch of trees he was laying. He got up and as soon as he realized it was me he came running. I loaded him up in the car and we went home. He was a mess! I almost didn't reconize him at first. He had yellow stained fur by his butt from you know and completely filthy.

Once we made it home and I was cleaning him up his feet were burning. He got frostbite on all of his feet and lips. We went to the vet and had him checked out and got medication and cream. He has to wear booties that suprisingly he hasn't ripped off yet. He is very tired and it hurtsThe kennel was great during this whole ordeal and are even paying the vet bill for him.

Thank you everyone for your prayers and postive thinking. We were dreaming of him all week too. I even got a call, in my dream, from Ceasar Milan and he was just going to tell me why Max was the way he was and I woke up.

Max is doing well and we are spoiling him rotten. We bought him one of these water fountain things that runs the water through a filter, keeps it cold, and holds 11 L of water. Also he was having super bowl munchies all night last night ;)

Oh my you just turned my day around :D I'm just sooo glad you found Max!! I've been praying for you and visiting the forums daily in hopes of reading this fantastic news. It's also really nice of the kennel to pay for the vet bills.

Please give Max a big squeeze from me and my two weiner dogs!!

I was about to reply to a negative thread in a nasty way, and decided I would not. I went back to main discussion and saw your thread! I feel as if I were rewarded!!!

I AM SOO HAPPY FOR YOU AND FOR MAX!!!! Oh poor Max sounds like he's been through some very rough times, but I'm sooo happy you found him!!! I actually have tears in my eyes. This is the best news I've heard yet today! Give him a big ole hug from me!!

I am SOOOOOOO happy to hear that you have him back! I didn't respond to your other thread but read it and would check back now and then to see if he had been found. I know I would be devastated if one of my two dogs were lost...so I am so thankful that your Max is home safe and sound!

It is amazing feeling having him back. You realize how much your pet means to you when something like this happens.

When he was gone the house was so quite and boring without him. A dog really brings the house together. Something about that unconditional love they have for their owners is something precious.
 
I haven't been on the boards in awhile, but had to go searching through the old posts to find out what happened to him. What a horrible experience for your family and Max. But an amazing ending to the story! I've had pets disappear before and it's such a awful, awful feeling. Thinking about how alone and scared they are, not to mention hungry and cold. I'm so very happy this worked out for you!!!!
 
I am SO relieved for you! I was really worried about Max after reading your post. What a nightmare!!! Thank goodness he is home and well!
 
What a relief! I read that post and felt so terrible for you. I think that for pet owners, that's definitely high on the "worst nightmare" list. I thought about your story often and I was really pulling for you. I am just so happy to hear that he's home safe. He's a very lucky dog!
