Good morning, fitness friends,

Wow, Traci, that sounds like a busy household. The rest of them are up early today? I'm surprised at that! Were they drinking coffee all night? Enjoy your winery tour and your dinner tonight.

Tracy....I'm shocked at your SIL. Where is she now? At home or in a hospital? I have to think this is related to the stress of your FIL's illness? Of course I don't expect you to tell the world all the details. But boy, you're having a really tough time these days. Thank heavens you have a stress outlet via your workouts.

Lea, Patricia, Christiane, Kim....Not sure if any of you are around this weekend. I imagine Kim has some running to do, Lea has some weights to start lifting, Christiane has to go to the airport at least once, and Patricia...????

I was planning on doing CC#4 on the bike today, followed by some or all of GS Legs, but with the early onset of TTOM yesterday, my back is really, really tired. Mentally I feel very drained, too. So, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Possibly I'll just do yoga (Eoin seems inviting today), or I'll do the SJP step/hi-lo cardio circuit premix, and follow it up with Eoin's Quickie. Or maybe nothing at all. Oh, we got fresh snow last night. If it melts today, I might take my bike outside for a recreational ride tomorrow.

Have a great day.
Sandra

Hi all,

Sounds like everyone in the south is having an grand time! If I had gone, I surely would have been in bed at 11 just like Traci.

The weather prediction was for nasty weather today, but it is sunny and warm and beautiful. I may have to change my workouts. I had planned upper body today and yoga, then legs and cardio tomorrow. It seems sort of foulish to stay inside on such a beauitful day. Although the bike path is always a crowded disaster on these days because everyone has the same idea.

Sandra - Yes, things with DH's family are not so great. They did not hospitalize her. She is under 24 watch by the family and they are changing the meds. That doesn't seem like much to me; especially considering all of the circumstances. On Yoga Trance Dance, I do like that DVD. Some of it is free form, but there is a long Prana flow (about 40) minutes that you can choose through the matrix that is really great for the spine. I don't use it as often as the others, but I do like it once and a while. Interesting on IMAX 3 the blasts you like and don't like. I enjoy #1 but feel it should have been later in the workout and I personally hate #7 and the one with the plie jacks Ughh....Did you ever contemplate doing a month or so with Upper + and total +? I'm trying to structure my workouts a little; I think. I'm just not sure if I'm ready for Tony again so soon. I never have much energy the first day of TTOM. In fact, I struggle with working out for a few days leading up to it.

Hi to all who are around.

Tracy

Nice to see you Tracy. Is FIL in hospital? How are family providing 24hr watch to your SIL? Is she staying with someone? I sure hope they provided her with some outpatient services.I sure hope things settle down for you and your family.

I did a 8 mile run with my friend this am. It's super icy out so our time is slow. But the forecast is for warmer temps this week so hopefully this was our last "winter" run.

We're having ds's 11 bithday party today. We rented an indoor soccer pitch for the afternoon. We have 16 kids coming :7 Wish me luck! Kim

Greetings from Luxembourg,
Well when I said I'd be back later on Friday I guess I lied...lol;-) I went to the airport and as I was getting there, DH called me from Germany telling me they had a stopover in Saarbrucken which he didn't know about. So I came back and went back again...TG it's only 15 minutes away:D By the time I came back home it was 11:30pm.
Yesterday was another day of UBX+ and my oh my it was hard as my upper body was still sore from 2 days prior. I still manages to up some of my weights but was absolutly dead for the last push-up exercises...x( Today was cardio and I subbed with LIC-cardioblast. I did it with the step as my back said it was OK today...lol (hope it doesn't change it's mind and say otherwise tomorrow!)
DD called on her way back from San Francisco and said the audition went very well. In fact it was the hardest thing she's ever done. Usually it's just a 2 hours class but he wanted to see what she was made of and kept her rehearsing with the company for 2 days... until 6 each day. She was totally spent but felt very good. He said she was the best so far he's seen. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Dh is on his last leg with P90X. Last night he came back from work around 8:30pm, started w/o around 9pm until...11:30pm. Now you wonder why I do it no matter even if I'm traveling...:D NO EXCUSE!!!

Traci~~ I'm glad you are having a good time. Yes indeed, if I can experience one, hopefully next year I'd love to meet you all. Have a great day.

Sandra~~ I am here (in Luxembourg) until early Tuesday when we are leaving for MI. I'll be there for a few weeks as I want to get a as much done in my garden. Hope you feel better as the day progresses. If you have to take a day off so what???

Tracy~~ I am sorry to hear about your SIL. I will send some vibes her way. Hopefully everything will be fine. You know what I am so happy to be done with TTOM... I surely don't miss that at all. At least it's not a reason I can use anymore...x( x(

Kim~~ 8 mile run is wonderful:+ :+ :+ I don't think I've ever ran that much but again I'm not much of a runner. Have a great day and good luck with all the kids. I'm sure DD will have a blast.

Well ladies a great day to ALL of you. <<<<<HUGS and KISSES>>>>.

I'll go do some yoga or stretches for the back and get diner ready.

Hi Everyone from the Great White North.

Finally, a beautiful sunny day here. Just need a spring jacket. Can't decide whether or not to w/o today or not. Might just take my DS outside to play instead! Hoping to go out to a movie tonight w/DH if we can find a babysitter at the last minute.

Tracey - very sorry for all the stress you and your family must be going through right now. Hopefully you got out to enjoy some of the beautiful weather and take a breather from all your troubles.

Kim - 8 mile run on icy roads - not for me but you go girl. Have fun at the BD party.

Retreaters - lift a glass for all of us

Christiane - wow, sounds like you had a frustrating evening. Nothing worse than have to travel back and forth to the airport even if it is close by. Keeping my fingers crossed for your DD that she gets good news from her audition.

Sandra - hope you went for a bike ride today. Once my DS is up from his nap I think we're going tricycle shopping. Can't wait to get out and enjoy the good weather that has finally arrived here. It's suppose to get even warmer tomorrow. A whole 13 c ;-) This winter was -20's for most of it ;(

Best get back to my DH in the kitchen. He is batch cooking and I'm his sous chef and chief bottle washer:p

Hi all,

After looking at a few rotations, I've decided to stick with 4ds for 3-4 weeks. I'll just add in some extra pull and chin ups. I'm still OK on the chins, but can already see a decrease in my ability to do pull ups since finishing the X. The problem for me with switching workouts is that I have trouble finding just the right weight. I went heavier today and got a better workout since I knew what to expect.

Anyway, 4ds chest & back and 6 sets of added pull/chin ups. I worked to failure. Then I did the Dome Challenge mostly for the core work.

Kim - I hope the birthday party is a blast and a huge success!

Patricia - What was the verdict? Did you decide to workout?

Christiane - Are you doing a + rotation?

Retreaters - Sounds like you are having a great time. We can't wait for some more pictures.

Tracy

Oh my gosh it's been a good for nothing Saturday. I literally did nothing today. My energy was completely zapped. Tomorrow's a whole new day, right?

Tracy - yes, I did toss around the idea of using the Plus weight workouts for a month, but that didn't pan out. I needed a break from Tony and his approach for a bit. I'm going to start lifting heavy again this week. I've just had a 3 week hiatus from it all, and feel the muscle tone is starting to flatten. I'm currently trying to figure out my approach. I like your idea to use 4DS for 4 weeks. I really like those ones. It's also been ages since I've done the GymStyles. I don't know. I'm not in the right frame of mind for deciding my immediate future: right now I'm a body at rest, and they have an apparent tendancy to remain at rest.

Kim - I hope the birthday party was as much fun as it sounds :p But most importantly, I hope you don't get the blast of snow that dumped on us today. It's so disheartening. I won't be riding outside tomorrow, that's for sure.

Christiane - That's great news about your daughter! And good news that your back allowed you to do some step today. Congratulations to DH, finishing the X! He's the first DHX in our group, not to be confused with Debra's DH who achieved XDH status last year. Is he happy with his results? Do you notice any difference in his physique or health?

Patricia - Awwwww! Did you find a trike for your tyke? Oooh, and did you get to see a movie? I want to take my 7 year old to see Horton Hears a Who as soon as we find time. I don't know if there's any adult movie in the theatre that I'm interested in seeing. Or should I say, seeing when it comes out on dvd. What's a babysitter? :-( OMG, your husband batch cooks on the weekends??? That's a good man!!

Retreaters - Wine, wine, and more wine. I think I'm relieved now that I didn't attend; I cannot consume that much alcohol! I'd be the sad-looking sober one in the corner, sipping on my water with a twist of lemon. Once you get up and moving in the morning, I wish everyone a safe journey home. Don't they have a 12-step detox audio channel on the plane?

Not to draw anyone's attention to the purpose of these forums, but did you get a look at the recent blog pictures? I've never seen Cathe's quads so defined before. That's impressive.

Have a great evening,
Sandra

Hi all!! Just wanted to let you all know that I think we have survived the weekend unharmed...well, mostly anyway..LOL! A couple of the gals are still gabbing upstairs....but I am headed to bed!! It has been an awesome weekend...and I sorry there were many of you who wanted but couldn't come for one reason or another. I think we will all probably get home and take a few days rest from the 'vacation'!! I hope everyone is having fun this weekend with your families and friends!

Sandra...
I bet you would have been able to hang with us on the drinking...LOL! Remember to ask Traci about the lemons...you will never put another lemon in your ice water again. And yes, we the retreaters saw the blog pics...and we had a lengthy discussion about Cathe's legs...Although it seems that whatever discussion we have turns into a long one. Wendy and I even had some woman in the bathroom compare our bootays. We talk to strangers when the others get tired of us. We miss you little lady...

Tracy...
Hope FIL and SIL are hanging tough for the weekend. Wish you could have been here to meet these great gals that we chat with online every day. It has been wonderful and we have certainly missed you.

I will try to catch up on some other personals on Monday...after my nap..which I am sure I am going to need by then. Oh...I also added a few pics from our winery tour today to my picture trail.

Good night all!
Debra
