"*CNN) -- Grinch-like virus writers are spreading their version of holiday cheer by embedding a variant of the so-called "Zafi" e-mail worm inside electronic greetings.

*E-mails with the misspelled attachment "Happy Hollydays" arrived in inboxes Tuesday, with the subject line "Merry Christmas." A worm is hiding inside the attachment.*"

Be careful when opening all of that holiday email!

Good warning....I got the "Merry Christmas" one yesterday. It was not an email address I recognized so I used a program called Eprompter to see the emails before I opened Outlook Express. My firewall cagouht it and said it was a zipped virus. I deleted it right away....Keep an eye out and have a good Anti Virus program and keep it updated.....:)..Carole

It wreaked havoc in our office, and we did not have email yesterday at all! Several lawyers opened the darn thing. (As the wife of a computer engineer, I hasten to add that I was NOT one of them). We've been blacklisted by everyone we send email to and undoing it is going to be a major undertaking. x( ;(
