Today I ordered Rythmic Step and Cardio Kicks. What can expect from these 2 videos? I already have Step Works,IMAX ,and Max. Ints.Cardio,so I know I'm in for great workouts. I was kind of leary about getting Cardio Kicks... is it tough? I really like to be pushed and I'm hoping these 2 will deliver the same stuff from her that I'm used to. I welcome your input! :) Susan

Hi Susan,
I don't have RS, but I do have Cardio Kicks. I think it's easier than IMax or MIC, but it is fun, fun, fun!:7 As a matter of fact I did it yesterday and today I'm sore!
I was hesistant to order RS because I had read on the forum that it has pretty tough choreography, but I think I'm going to try to order it since I have All Step down.
IMHO you can't go wrong with ANY CATHE tape!!!!

Wow, Cardio Kicks is SO MUCH FUN.
It clears out all the cobwebs, that's for sure! I have both that you mentioned but it will be some time before I attempt RS because the choreo is tricckkky. And, I am a slow learner. But, you know, it's not going anywhere, so I'llhave it when I am ready to take the plunge!
CK-moves take up some space. You might have to modify moves if your workout area is near the size of mine (approx. 10x10). Easy to mod, though, once you get the wkt down. CK was my first Cathe cardio wkt. I love it!!!
Have fun!

Thanks for responding! When you say RS is tricky - is it "dancier" or are her moves just a bit faster?
I think I'll have enough room for CK. Our living room is 18x24. My problem lately is the dog has been hearing me bouncing around and thinks it's her playtime. She brings me her toys one by one! :)
I'm really looking forward to getting these and watching them. I'll let you know what I think! Susan

I just kept doing RS over and over. Even the first time I was able to keep up with enough of it that I was having a great time! Now I can do it "backward and forward" but beware of saying that-the Challenge at the end really makes you prove it!

The great thing about Rhythmic step is the way Cathe knits the whole thing together, from all the sections, at the end. Rhythmic Step Challenge is every move in sequence on the right side, then starting from scratch on the left side, for a total of (how many? At least 4) times! I just love that format and I hope she repeats it in the next step video.

Susan,
I haven't watched RS all the way through, but have seen the warm up and first section, (as well as the clip on this site) and from what I've seen (and read, too), it doesn't look highly intense (along the lines of IMax), but it does look like there are many challenging, dancey combos, all around and over the step. That's what i mean by trickkky!!!
:)

WOW, now I think CK stands alone for upper body cardio when it comes to Cathe. It is worth the money for the drills alone....

IMHO if you can do Step Works then you can do Rhythmic Step. It does take some patience to learn. It is a new twist to the old way. I did it this morning and it is truly FUN and never boring.

Cardio kicks is a KICK. I love it, too. I manage to do it in a space that is 6 X 8 and it is a little cramped but do-able. What I've found with CK is that the more you put in to it the more you get out of it. (watch out for the sequential power kicks, YIKE)

Hi Joy-

I have both tapes you mentioned. I LOVE Cardio Kicks! Its not too challenging as far as choreography. I had never kickboxed before and learned that you have to really put effort into your kicks and punches to get your heart rate up. But it is an awesome workout once you figure that out.

I had a hard time with Rhythmic Steps choreography the first couple of times I did it. I can do it now but its not my favorite Cathe step tape. There is alot of "going back to the very beginning" of the workout, which I don't care for. Once I get thru a section I don't want to see it for the rest of the workout! :) You will get a GREAT heart pounding workout though!!

I can only comment on RS. With only the CTX Series cardio as prior Cathe stepping experience and after several attempts, I was able to execute the moves in RS with some grace. Not being naturally blessed with poise and coordination, I consider this an accomplishment. As for the enjoyment factor; I like the challenge and sense of accomplishment that RS fulfills. It's fun too. This is a steady state workout, and as such, it more than satisfies my expectations.
