Walking lunges

I do them in hotel rooms on vacation. I do 100. Why? Because there is not much I can do in a hotel room and I don't want to abandon my wonderful 'butt management' program.
 
I sometimes do them in the kitchen at work while waiting for my lunch to warm up. I'm not sure how many. And why? As Mogambo said, butt management:p
 
I try to do them at work while I wait for my lunch to warm up as long as no one else is around or around the house both inside and outside. Not sure how many maybe 25 or 30 tops. (that is all I can manage) But it does nice things for my rear.

When I remember, I try to do 200 - usually once a week after a lower body workout.

I do them because Cathe recommended them!

REPOST:

I created this evil walking lunge/sprint workout at my local high school track that I do on Sunday afternoons. I call it the "Buck" Swank Six Nickel Run. (I thought giving it a cutesty name would lessen the dread factor, but alas, it's tough to get out the door for this torture)

Anyway, I put my favorite music in my headset, take 6 nickels in my hand and jog lightly to the high school (about 1/4 mile from my house).

When I get to the track, I SPRINT one stretch, recover around the bend and do walking lunges the other straight away. I do this six times. I needed to bring the nickels because it became so distracting to keep track of how many times I'd gone around, so I put a nickel on the "Buck" Swank memorial plaque as I finish each lap.

Once I'm out of nickels, I'm done.

I'm totally fried by the end. FRIED.

It's made a huge difference...HUGE difference in my legs.
 
Wow, that sounds like a killer and one I can do around my house while my boys are outside playing. I am going tho try this but it will have to be on an empty stomach otherwise I will throw-up!!

Shelley, Do you do them when other people are around?

Thanks for the input. I'm going to try to incorporate them a couple of times a week. How many? I don't know yet.......
 
Elaine...I do them as part of my freestyle training...I do 4 x 40 once a week. I will work up to 4 X 50 or maybe even more...:)...Carole
 
I used to do them. The whole running track around the gym X 4. I don't know exactly how long that was, but I remember my boyfriend "asking" me to use lighter dumbells than him. And I remember, at the time, I stupidly relented.
