waist to hip ratio

Dear Cathe-

Just a quick word of thanks before I go on to my question. I have just completed a 10 week CTX/PS rotation and I have never felt better in my life! I only have 2 pounds left of my pre-pregnancy weight to go - but I feel sure that I have added on some serious muscle which is even better. I have stopped worrying about how much I weigh, and instead I am now taking measurements every 4 weeks in order to gauge my progress.

so here is my question - is there a "healthy" waist to hip ratio, and if so, what is it? I know it is not good for your heart to carry excess fat in the mid-section. The reason I am asking, is because while my hips are the smallest they have ever been (even after 3 kids) and I am continuing to lose inches everywhere else, my waist is just not following suit. My fat just doesn't want to leave my stomach region. My body is starting to look like a rectangle!

I'm sure this has been covered, but what can I do to really work at that area? I just bought the Intensity series with the hopes that maybe some of the ab work in that will help out. I was going to start the Total Body Conditioning rotation with focus on heavy weight training as my next rotation, but do you think I would be better off with the Overall Body Blast? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not Cathe, I know, but I noticed that if you go onto the home page and click the icon for Making of the Intensity series, there is an icon for how Cathe bounced back after having her second child. This is very interesting, because she goes into detail about what she did for workouts and eating. This may help you while you wait. Oh, and she talks about her core region.
Sounds like you are doing great though, keep up the good work!
