I am fairly new at doing low impact aerobics.I take 2 class every week in the small town I live in but was wanting to do more for weight loss purposes. I have been doing this for only about 4 weeks and I also do Weight Watchers. I am 41 years old, stand 5'3" and weigh in at a big 177. I just went out this weekend and bought your step set that came with one of your videos. But during the veiwing of it I relized that it was harder then what I am presently doing now. For a first time user/exerciser do you have a video that would be good for a first timer???? One that might be a little easier so that I can work up to the video that came with the step set! Thanks! Any imput from any body would be greatly appriciated.......:)

hi sherri...cathe is filming w/o geared to beginners and intermediates on 3-5-04...see the main pg..the ALL STEP tape that comes with the step is brutal. her older tapes are easier to master. i highly and strongly recommend you buy a few of her weight/strength tapes as this will greatly accelerate your weight loss, firm ya up and kick up the metabolism...she has got alot to choose from. i started out where you are....and i have come a long way!!!! i learned on mega step blast, and the classics volume 1 dvd is reasonable. i started her strength training with the pure strength series. you gotta go with her dvd's too. her new w/o are on dvd only. i suggest you go to videofitness.com they have beginners advice forum that is great.:)

Hi Sherri and welcome:). Oh I can tell you that you are not alone because that was my first video because it came with the step and got great info right here on the forum about a year ago. First let me ask you a question: Do you own a DVD player because if you do I would reccomend getting Classic Volume 1 or Cardio Hits which has 3 videos on each dvd and it is great to start with. Like the other reply said Cathe is filming in the beginning of March some beginners videos but it could take a few weeks to a few monthes and of course it is only on dvd so If you can't wait get the old credit card out and start having some fun:) Also For Strength I would recommend The Pyramids, Power hour, MIS, Pure Strength. I would defenitly add strength to your cardio. You don't have to do it together for instance you can do cardio 1 day and strength the next. I would try and do 1 body part 2 times a week. You can do 2 total body workout 2 times a week or you can split it up for instance do upper 1 day and then lower the next day. There is so many ways you can do this and you will learn alot from here. Well have fun and let us know what you end of getting. Oh how can I forget the CTX Series. You must check this out also which is great. Jillybean from our forum loss 2 dress sizes from doing this series. It has a few cardio like hi/lo kickboxing and All Step is in there and the strength is CTX Upper body and Leaner legs. Cathe has a video clip of all her videos you can see before you buy. It is like 10 minutes long. Well I think I am done. Good Luck!!
