Hi Cathe,

I just started using your videos after months of working out with other fitness videos. Your videos seem to be very intensive. How do your videos compare to the actual classes that you teach?

Power hour is an amazing weight video. At first I could not do the entire video at one time, so I split it up. The leg part is intensive.

I own about seven of your videos and consider myself an intermediate to anvanced excerciser. Do you have any suggestion on how to get the most of your videos at home? I only have about an hour to excercise a day and like to take off at least one day a week to take a break.

Thank you for putting out such amazing videos. Between work and family it is difficult to find the time to squeeze in excercise and your videos make such a difference.

Take Care,

Becka

One more qestion, I have never tried kickboxing, have been to nervous to try it. How does kickboxing compare to step aroebics? It seems to be tricky to catch on. Which of your videos would be a good start?

Becka, I'm not Cathe, but I would suggest Cardio Kicks if you like Cathe's intensity and want to try kickboxing. It is so much fun and gives a nice break from step every once in awhile. Cathe has a shorter kickbox video that is super fun too, but it comes with CTX and so you'd have to order the whole set (which I highly recommend!) Which Cathe videos do you have? I only have an hour to work out too, 6 days a week, but I find that with Cathe's intensity, one hour is plenty!

Hi, Becka! Obviously I am not Cathe, but I might be able to start pointing you in the right direction. First of all, which seven videos do you have? If you already have the wedding video (which I want) then the next great time-saving alternative would be to get the CTX series. That stands for Cross Train Express.

One of the Crosstrain tapes is Kickboxing. This series was meant for those who have an hour a day to exercise. Each one comes with about 30 minutes of cardio (after a warm-up) and strength for one upper body part, except one, called Leaner Legs, which is all legs strength (you know how that gets your heart rate up too).

It is a series of six tapes, intended for one rest day a week, and so easy to mix and match sections, esp. on DVD. Right now it is first on my wish list.

I'm sure Cathe will have a smart suggestion but why not take a look at a [link:207.201.162.174/infoXpresskickbox.htm|clip]
of CTX? Kickboxing is a lot of fun! Just be sure to take the time to preview the videos. - Connie

Hi Becka! Nice to meet you! My classes are a bit harder than my videos because I have pretty much the same following that attend. Since we all know each other so well, I know what they can handle (and to what degree) so we get a lot accomplished in an hour.

I agree with the suggestions that others have made, the CTX series sounds perfect for you right now. Just give yourself time for a leaning curve.

Also, you asked about kickboxing, this CTX series has a kickbox tape as one of the cardio's that will be a good introduction as to the way I do kickbox (a mix of hi/lo impact and kicks and punches). I hope this helps.
