Veteran Cathe fans I need your help getting started!

Hello everyone! I just discovered Cathe on fit tv and I'm hooked! I've been working out with the Firm gals for a looong time and it's not doing it for me anymore so finding Cathe was such a blessing! There's one problem though - she has SO MANY dvds, I don't know how to get started! Can y'all tell me what you recommend?! I really enjoy high intensity cardio and I love lifting weights but have yet to find a strength training program that I can stick with! I have about 20lbs to lose and want to build some nice muscles doing it. I came across the #468, "FAT LOSS and DEFINITION Rotation"... would you guys recommend this for the results I'm looking for?! Thanks everyone!

Welcome to Catheland!

For strength training, I would recommend the Gym Style DVDs. These are great for building strength and endurance. They also use a resistance band to give you an extra burn. I've had great success with these.

For high intensity, high impact cardio, any of the IMAXes are good. IMAX 3 is about the most intense. For low impact, high intensity, I would recommend Low Max.

I don't know what your budget is, but you might like to get the Hardcore Series, which includes the Gym Styles, Low Max, IMAX 3, Stretch Max, Core Max, Kick Max, High Step Challenge (Circuit workout) and Muscle Max (total body workout). You can also purchase Hardcore Extreme (a mixture of High Step Challenge, Kick Max, Low Max and IMAX 3) which has 3 high intensity circuit workouts.

If budget is an issue, you might want to explore the 4 Day Split Series which is for moderate to heavy lifting and has 4 30 minute cardio workouts along with 23 premixes.

Good luck with your new purchases. Eventually, you'll want them all.

Just to chime in here - one of my favorites for intense cardio is Kick, Punch and Crunch. If you like kickboxing at all that is usually a favorite. Also for weights I love Slow and Heavy for a 3 day split and Muscle Max for a full body day.

But - they're nearly all great and it's hard to go wrong picking ANY dvd here. Welcome, have fun, and good luck deciding :)
