using the gift cards?

so what is the proper way to use the gift cards we have? does the shopping cart accept them yet? or do we need to do it in a special way? i just want to make sure i get my order number when i order and it's not delayed due to using the card!

(FINALLY! phew..... i've only had these cards for well over a year now with nothing to spend them on since i have all the dvd's!)

they better not! i've got $250's worth and NOTHING (before this presale) to spend them on.... since... like i said.... i bought them specifically for pre-orders before cathe got hurt (dec 2005) and already had the last workouts ordered.... (i did use the card for the calendar and it was kind of a pain.... that's why i'm asking ahead of time about the pre-order)

there's no expiration date on them.... they also state that more value can be added at any time.....

I also got mine Dec 2005 and have been waiting for more preorders so I have $250 to spend so I'm looking forward to ALL THESE PREORDERS THIS YEAR! Yeah!!

I am glad there's no expration date on them:D My DH wants to give my a Cathe gift card, so I can shop for more DVD's:D :D

well... ya..... lol! i'll be getting most (OK.... probably all) the new workouts/preoders.... even the bag ones!)

i took advantage when she was offering $125 value for $100 spent! so got 2 separate cards!

i didn't realize how long ago it was til i looked at the postmark on the envelope when looking to make sure there was no expiration date! (plus i didn't think i woulda bought them or at least that much money's worth if there was one!)

another screwed up order cuz you don't have gift card online yet? give me a break! we bought these almost 2 years ago.... you'd think they'd figure out how to let us use them!

my dh does coding for games(yes that take money)and sometiems these updates can go crazy. its hard to find the codes that work properly without messing up the whole system which is why they probably can't update to take the cards yet.

some ppl just don't understand b/c they dont' work with these type of codes. its mind boggling and time consuming.

i DID my homework..... and THIS is right on the page of their pre-order:

To pay by check or money order - Click Here and then print the order form


there IS NO OPTION TO CHOOSE PAY BY CHECK ON THE ONLINE ORDERING!

AND i asked about this earlier so there wouldn't be this problem when the pre-order came up...

so the information on that link is basically useless unless you want to MAIL your order in...

i could understand if they had JUST started issuing gift cards.... they've been selling them almost TWO YEARS!

at the very least they needed to leave the "pay by check" option on the online ordering and NOT make it mail in only....

maybe trying to use the gift card number as the credit card nubmer? its worth a shot unless they are updating the whole order form and haven't said anything yet. like a said these codes are a pain and make one goes cross eyed. one comma out of a place can wreck the whole process.

personally i am holding out for another week on the pre-order(if i still decide too) b/c things like this always happen in the first week and i rather not be part of the issue and just wait until everything is ironed out.

Desertbriez, I think it might be more expedient if you simply email CS and ask them how to use your gift card for the presale.
 
i tried that since the number of digits is the same (seems to me that would make the most sense?) but it didn't work either!

i ended up ordering using a credit card and just put in comments to not charge the card... but to use my gift card AND sent a follow-up email...

it's just very frustrating to me! if they had just left "pay by check" or had the ladies at the 800 number take the orders.... something! that's why i asked ahead of time (with no reply from SNM)....

i'm sure it's also more work for them to have to refund me, if my card is indeed charged when i place the order... they then have to refund me (and have to pay fees, i believe!)

i've emailed them (and already placed the order... see post above)

but i think others with gift cards need to know how to use them, too... so they so need to address it here in the forums!

You have to put a note in the comments box along with your gift card number. If your gift card is less than your order total your credit card will be charged the difference.
 
why should we even have to provide a credit card number is our gift card is more than enough to pay?

(and you might want to change your instructions that say to choose pay by check since that's no longer an online option)
