Well I accidentally got the results of my ultrasound because I had to call the nurse for something else and she checked to see if they were in. YIKES!

She read the report from the radiologist and it basically said "no appreciable change when durectly compared to study done 7/18/08. Follow up 3-6 months."

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I think she said it was like 9 mm big. Is that big?

I'm wondering WHY I still need to keep following up. I'm assuming if they thought it was suspicious they would've requested further testing by now. I think it also said something like "lesion characteristic of a hemangioma." Well so is a tumor!!! Ok..sorry. I should be happy but it's so hard to let it go and I don't want to keep following up.

On the upside, maybe it's a type that isn't affected by hormones which allows me to stay on the pill until I can get a tubal....

Keep us posted with your progress OK? I'm a little confused though. Are you alright?

Continued prayers your way,

Janie

It sounds good that it hasn't gotten any bigger! I would want to keep following up, but I can imagine it is getting pretty stressful!

Maybe talk with the doctor and gets some answers to your ?'s regarding size and why the follow-up. Sometimes I think you really have to ask direct questions to doctors or you don't know what's going on

Thanks for the update!

I guess they just want to follow up again to make sure once more than it hasn't grown. Also, from what I've heard, mm is pretty small. So, I guess I'll just follow up again in a few months.

Ok...ya'll are freaking me out. Don't get me wrong. I'm SOOOO thankful for the prayers. But I thought some people here had dealt with this before and it was no big deal (even though I couldn't get my brain to accept that). Now, reading these replies, it's like something is wrong??? Do ya'll know something I don't??? :(

As long as the docs aren't worried about it, neither would I be. But I think that the thoughts and prayers are so that everything continues to go well for you. :) Don't let that start worrying you now!

This is great news. I forget where your spot is, but the words "hemangioma" and "no change" are good terms. :)

Grab a ruler and measure out 9mm. It's about the width of my teeny, pinky fingernail.
