Hey all. For those of you who wanted updates on my brother, he graduates School Of Infantry today then then immidately leaves for:


HAWAII! That is where he will be stationed until he is deployed. I haven't spoken to him since Saturday, but he is doing great and I am SUPER proud of him. I will post some pics later, since my uncle in San Diego will be at the ceremony.

I've read a lot of your posts on your brother, and I'm glad to hear he's doing well! My hats off to him for serving our country. God Bless him! My son was in the Marines for 4 yrs, he went in right out of graduating high school. He's been all over the place, and he did have to go to Kuwait when the war first started. He's been out now for almost 2yrs. Glad your brother is doing good, I thank him for what he's doing!!!

Also, wanted to comment on your hair...in your most recent pics, the bottom one is just gorgeous, although you are very attractive with long or short hair. Is that cut faily new for you? I just went from having long hair to short myself, but I really like your cut. LOVE the doggies too! :)
 
Jes, thanks for the update. I hope your brother spends a good, looooooong time in Hawaii. He remains in my prayers.

Jes, please extend my best wishes to your brother. My DD's boyfriend left for basic 2 weeks ago. I'm very proud of him, but very worried. I'll keep Dylan in my prayers, with all of the other service people. Thanks for the update.

Hey ladies!! Sorry for my delayed response!:p

Dylan called and got there ok. they are 12 hours different than us, so hopefully when i'm milling around on the internet in the morning, he will be off the clock and able to chat:7 Thanks for all your well wishes and comments. I appreciate them OF COURSE and Dylan knows all about ya'll and thinks the support is great too!

Sandy: thanks for the hair comment:D My avatar is my current hair. It's easy and i don't have to do much to it!

Judy: we did get our bed and we are both sleeping very well. Pretty amazing!

I will definately be going to visit. in fact we are hoping to do a family trip or perhaps a second honeymoon}( He will be there for the next 3 1/2 years unless he is deployed. Right now there is talk of Feb. for that, but no idea where. They never know a damn thing for certain until it happens. MAKES ME CRAZY!x(

Robin, good luck to your DD's boyfriend. Boot is very hard for everyone involved. The only consolation is that it's eventually over:p ! Let me know if he needs a penpal. I would be glad to send him letters if he needs them. Or any of his buddies that need support. If you hear of the need, give me a shout! How is your son btw?

Hawaii!!!! How cool!....that is good news Jes. I hope you can get a chance to go there for a visit...beautiful place. I'd love to see some oics of the ceremony...:)
 
That's great Jes! Hawaii is nice. I had some friends that were stationed there also. I never got that privelage! I was in Colorado for most of my term!
Robin, I didn't know your DD BF joined! THat's great! GOod for him!
It is life changing, but you learn so much.... especially about yourself!
I wish them both luck!
