Update - Des Moines job

OK, I just finished my phone interview and they want to fly me out there next week to meet them and see if I like the place. I'm freaking out a little bit right now. Right after I got off the phone, I called the recruiter who found my resume. She says there's only one other candidate for the job and we're kind of on equal footing. They're flying her out there too.

Did I say that I'm freaking out? I'm freaking out. FREAKING!!!!

I'm right there with you, girl! I accepted a job offer, thinking another one was dead, but then this other one came back to life and now I think they are going to present me with a job offer, too. I'm freaking out, myself! Let's freak out together! Aaaaaarrrrrggghhhhh! *running-around-waving-arms-madly-much-like-Johnny-Depp-in-Pirates-of-the-Caribbean*

This is the first time I've ever been in this predicament, and while it's a nice problem to have, I have already accepted the offer at Company #1. I hate backing out of something I have agreed to. There's nothing saying, yet, that I will, but this other opportunity is really really nice -- a little more $$$. But, Opportunity #1 comes with a nice year-end bonus. So, money-wise, I think both will end up being about the same. It's going to come down to a gut-check feeling. I don't want to make the wrong choice.

I think we both just need to calm down, breathe, and take this as far as it will go before we make a final decision. Go out there, meet with these folks, sell yourself, and see what happens. I will try to do the same.

If anyone else has any advice, I think we'd both love to hear it.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Actually, I'm done freaking. I'll probably start freaking again once the trip is scheduled. Can't wait to see what my husband's reaction will be when he gets home and I tell him. Probably that blank stare he has so perfected.
