turbo jam

I got it about a week ago . I did one workout and sent it back . Just not my style I guess . To Dancy ,Too silly !! Sorry ...But on the other hand . A lot of people do like it and the book/calander thing to follow looks good . I might be to spoiled with Cathe too !!!LOL:) :) :)
 
I like Turbo Jam, very energetic, you will burn calories, fast paced.
It is dancey sort of, but I don't mind as long as I am workin it lol.

I am glad I ordered it, and will order the LIVE ones when they are available....

Hi there,
I can't stay quiet about these workouts anymore. I have been doing them for almost 7 weeks now and love them. I am certified to teach kickbox and am not at all put off by the "dancy" moments in these workouts. Believe me, if you tuck your hips under and keep your core contracted like the instructor teaches and reminds you to do, you will feel it and sweat a good deal.

By the way, I have been staggering my calories ( mostly just added veggies to every meal), use Cathes weight and circuit workouts, Turbo Jam twice a week, and power walk/run three x's a week. I have lost 30 pounds since August. From a size 14 to a size 4.

Turbo Jam has me more sore in my core and is SO much fun. I have all of Cathe's kickbox tapes and I enjoy these more for some reason. I only wish that there were more Plyo work in turbo jam.

wow, your results are amazing. how many calories do you eat?howmany times do you workout a week? sounds like you workout alot. I am at 127lbs at 5'21/2 thats too much. I feel much more comfortable around 120 lbs but i have to be very strict with the eating and up the exercise to get there. I just dont have the determination right now.

I am also 5'2" and was at 101 at the beginning of summer, I have about 6 lbs to lose to get back to that. I don't have to be that strict with my eating so much, just portion control. I do try to watch what I eat, and when I drink soda its diet.

Turbo Jam is really cool, if you really work it, you will burn the calories....

I am 46 yrs young, and started fitness almost 3 yrs ago, weighted 138 lbs then...

I would look too skinny if i weighed less than 110lbs or so. I figure 115-120 would be good for me otherwise i lose all of my boobs. I like having boobs, so I would love to lose another 7-10pds and i would be fine with that. How many days do you workout? you lost alot of weight,how long did it take you? did you use mostly cathe tapes? i currently do bootcamp at the ymca 2x week and 1day of cathe and i usually run 2other days a week. i am wondering if i need to change things up a bit. i feel like i have hit a p;lateua.

It also depends on how much muscle you have. I have been exercising for way too long (over 20 years), and I have built up quite a bit of muscle. I start to look quite skinny when I go under 120 pounds. I consider myself to be an advanced exerciser (I can do Cathe 6 times a week) but I wanted to try out Turbo Jam as the workouts look like a lot of fun. I am wondering if they would be too easy for me.
 
I know that what I weigh at 5'2" isn't for everyone, just showing it can be done, you can lose 7 lbs and not have to be so strict. But you do have to use portion control. And you do have to give up your sugary drinks cause thats a big part of the problem.

But its up to you in how far you want to go, it takes some getting used to but your taste buds do get used to it.

I drink alot of water. I did use mostly cathe until about a yr or so ago, now I use Tae Bo and Turbo Jam, and some of the Firm.

I got a urban rebounder and I jog in place.

You should probably change up every 6 or 8 weeks.

Just give a routine your on a chance to work.

When I first started exercising it took a good month to even see a difference in the way my pants fit.
