Turbo Jam Question?

I just caved and ordered it:) I got a good coupon code online, so I couldn't resist. I did upgrade to the deluxe package as well. The reviews on the cardio workouts are great, but I haven't heard a lot about the strength work. Can anyone give me some more info? I am actually really interested in Ab Jam the most, but any insight would be appreciated.

How do you upgrade the package? I found the button to push once but can't find it anymore. Thanks again!

You have to go to the top and use the pull down menu to find the upgrade packages. The site is not user friendly.
 
There's one full body strength called turbo sculpt, a lower body workout, and ab jam. I didn't purchase lower body cause I have enough lower body workouts. But, I love abjam. It's 20 minutes-10 minutes is standing abs and 10 minutes on the floor. IMO, the moves are creative and I was able to do the whole thing. I crash on a lot of ab workouts, but this one I did in its entirety. In turbo sculpt she has bad form doing lunges, she's forward too much. But you being in cathe land would pick up on this. The moves flow and they use the same weight throughout the whole workout. Some moves you can go heavier on, but it's a little of a hassle to stop the flow and change weights. Overall I liked turbo sculpt and was sweatin up a storm by the time it was over.
 
TJ is awesome. I love the cardio parties and the 20 minutes workout.Ab jam have two parts: 10 minutes of standing work and 10 minutes of work in the floor. Here you have a desciption of Ab Jam:

I don't feel the burn when I do lower body jam. Chalene uses a resistance band during this workout. The exercises with the resistance band are my favorites of the workout.


Turbo Sculpt is a 40 min workout. Chalene recommends 3-5 lbs for women, and 8-10 for men. The workout is an endurance workout. The entire 40 mins you are doing some form of squat or lunge in a compound movement with upper body. I prefer the Cathe's weight workouts.



In my humble opinion, the TJ must have are : both cardio parties, the 20 minute workout and ab jam.

There are some ladies in the Hardcore rotation thread that have been doing the slim series and enjoying them. That is why I decided to get them. Check out the thread and ask them about them. :)

If you have a target near you, you may find a set there. I first purchased a double dvd set for $20 which had tone it up and shape it up. I liked the workouts though so I wanted the whole set. Lots of lower body work. There's another thread on open discussion called slim series.

Aila you are welcome. I have the Slim Series. There are six workouts. Cool it off is a stretch workout( I prefer the P90X stretch workout), there are two workouts of 78 minutes(shape it Up and Tear it Up)one lower body workout ( Firm it Up)an upper body weight workout (Tone it Up) and Mix it Up.I really like the high-rep/low weight style of Slim Series.After six weeks doing the slim training program I saw results in my lower body( I dropped almost one pant size and I saw changes in my pear shape).I mixed the SS with TJ, TAEBO (or another pure cardio workout)and had fantastic results. The SS dosen't have enough cardio. The workouts are very similar and I dislike the music (you have a music off option).Maybe I will try the slim training program again when I will finish the Cathe's November rotation I am doing now.

I got the Turbo Ab Jam DVD on Ebay.. there are a lot of them there if you only want to buy one and not a whole set.
