Turbo Fire

Anyone own this? I'm sure someone does.

It caught my eye but to be honest, when I buy workout dvds that aren't cathe...they never get used! I bought Insanity and would quickly sell it if anyone wanted it. Not that they aren't tough....but I just couldn't get in to it.

Anyway....I just wanted to know what your thoughts were on these dvds...and results? What are they about? Cardio? Bit of both???

Lori:)

I have TF and abolutely love it. So much fun, yet it really does the challenge. I love all the HiiT workouts and often add them to my STS rotation. I have done a round of Insanity, with much dread and am currently doing my first round of Insanity The Asylum, which is super tough, but the dread factor is not as high. I never dread doing TF and actually am happy when it shows up in one of my rotations. Really a lot of fun!

LOVE Turbo Fire, they are absolutely NOTHING like Insanity. Insanity was pure dread no fun for me, could not get past a week of it. TF is pretty much all fun, high energy, high intensity workouts. I will admit I do not like the toning/sculpting workouts at all, but even knowing that, I would buy it again at the same price for the HIIT and Cardio dvds. I even bought the extra deluxe package for another $60, I could have lived without it because there are only 2 dvds in it I will use (the HIIT and the Cardio of course), but I don't regret it either, the Fire 60 workout is really great.

I did 10 weeks straight of TF before I burned out and needed a break, I have NEVER done the same cardio like that for over 2 months before. And, it only took about 6 weeks for me to want to work them back in, and now I do at least 1 or 2 a week.

Just read the rest of the questions. They did help me lose about 7 pounds in combination with eating a "primal/paleo" style diet, it was weight I put on over the course of a year moving homes and losing weight for me is ridiculously hard.

The HIIT workouts are between 15 minutes and 30 minutes, and follow a 1 minute hiit with a 1 minute rest format. You do the same hiit sequence 2 or 3 times, then move on to a new hiit sequence. The cardio, is a lot like Turbo Jam, but pumped up about 500%, so it's a lot of kickboxing moves set to up beat music, and then in the cardio you will do 2-4 of the 1 minute hiit sequences.

There are other dvds, tone and sculpt are done with bands, and a stretch dvd, those are the ones I don't do.

So for me TF is all cardio, so even when I followed the rotation "as is" I had substituted the tone and sculpt days with actual weight lifting dvds from Cathe or Kelly.

I love Turbo fire!! We do it at our local YMCA. Turbo fire KEEPS the fun factor in exercising and absolutley no dread factor at all. You will love it. But be prepared to sweat!!
