Tuesday preggies/ttc

Ok, I did call the office and talked to the mammographer. She said yes, there is a risk if pregnant, but did not know the specifics if ovulating. I go for my pap tomorrow, so I will ask.

Yes good luck Susan!
Kate I am staying at the Deptford Residence Inn. I hope its a nice place
Why did you say beware of philly? Im scared!! Haha
do u remember how much the Rover cost from the Airport to the hotel?

Jen, More people were at the Fairfield. Quite a few came from the Res to hang out there. At Philly Air. they were less than helpful. There are so many baggage claims. All I can say is try to do it in a carry-on! And the Rover I think was about $25. Try to have small bills too - they hawk you for tips BIG TIME! Mine ended up scamming a HUGE tip off of me. I don't mean to sound like a total downer. The whole RT was amazing. I was just a little daunted by some of the travelling issues.

I made these yummy peanut butter balls this afternoon. Mix 3/4 c. plain oats with 1/2 c. peanut butter. Freeze for 1 hour. Enjoy! You can also dip them in melted chocolate before you freeze them but I skipped that step. The recipe calls for mixing 1 T. of honey in the oats & pb but I left that out. I suspect it would help them "gel" a little better, but I didn't mind them crumbly. Super healthy, super yummy. The girls wolfed 'em down!

Hi Kate
I took out cash today but its all $20 bills. How much is a normal tip? I dont give the best tips most of the time. LOL. Usually the minimum required. Well, no thats not true. But for something like a bus ride...Im just spending soooo much on this trip already! That sounds awful, doesnt it?

I know we are sharing a rover back and it'll be about $20 a person unless we get more people to join us.

I will definately do a carry on! i wont have that much (i say that now) but i suppose sneakers take up a bit of space. Normally i'm in flip flops lol.

Those pb balls sound yummy. Ive been hungry today! Oh well, im making a great pizza dish when I go home tonite. Looking forward to it...come on 5:00!

Hi ladies,
Well, I feel better after having some "alone time" to go to the doc and run errands. I think every mom needs some time away sometimes. Both my parents came and kept the boys while I was gone, so that was a treat for them. They made Gramps watch Star Wars with them. (Which I think is a little too violent, but hey, it was quality time together...). Doc's visit went well. I had very elevated white cells in my urine, so she thinks it's a bladder infection, which would explain the constant peeing. I didn't mention the moodiness. If it doesn't subside I will. Think it was just a bad morning. I also have tentatively scheduled the c-section for Oct. 2!!! I'm really excited about it. My dad was hoping I'd choose his bday (Oct. 3), but I really have been thinking "Oct. 2" and I have this very weird thing about everyone deserving their own bday. Little does he know that we're naming the baby after him (well, middle name), so they'll always share that... Doc also vetoed my lifting as heavy as I am (which is 24 lb max). She said that too much pressure on my uterine incision could make it tear. Eww. AND I only gained 3 lbs (in three weeks), a MAJOR accomplishment for me.

Enough about me...

Hope you all are having a good afternoon (despite this wicked heat)!!

ETA: Kate: those peanut butter balls sound SO good. They sound like something my mom used to make when I was little. She used honey in hers though. I love honey. Are we supposed to stay away from it, or can we eat it??

Jen, For something like a bus ride I wouldn't tip more than $2. On the way back to Philly there were 4 of us and I think it was around $15 each - much better!

Stephanie, Good news for you! ^5 on the lack of weight gain! Good for you! Less than 2 months to go! Re honey...I know if you're younger than 2 you're not supposed to eat it but I don't know about preggos and their fetuses.

Okay, I'll keep Isabel, but if anyone comes across a wolf pack I'd be glad to offer Gina for their meal!! I hope Mike comes home from work early!

Hi everyone--taking a break from school prep:confused:--my eyes are glazing over.

Kate--those peanut butter balls sound yummy. I want the honey, though. Malcolm only uses 1 diaper per day, so it's not bad. For a while I had 3 in diapers and that was a hefty bill, even buying bulk from costco

Susan--you are very kind. Actually in the avatar picture, I'm 37, but it's my favorite picture with dh. I haven't had pictures of any sort taken since I turned 40. I am planning to take and post a belly pic soon--scary--my face is much fatter, I've gained so much weight and am retaining so much water.

Stephanie--Hurray on the alone time--a little can work wonders. I hope the infection clears up quickly. Hurray on the lack of weight gain. I'll look at the damage 2 weeks post partum, after all that nasty water I'm retaining has peed it's way out.

Jenm--Have fun on the road trip! I didn't realize the August one was so soon. Sounds like an adventure.

Hi everyone else!

Maggie:)
38 weeks, 1 day

Maggie Mag - You are such a great mom. You amaze and inspire me! Can't wait to see a belly pic!

No WO tonight. Long story (payroll, stray cat DDs fell in love with (me too!), DDs COVERED in wet sand) but the biggest issue is I was having a few bhx contractions and my belly is really sore now. It feels bruised all over. Any of you other 3rd tri mamas get this? It's happening more and more. The joys of a 3rd pg, the midwife says. She says its normal but boy, is it uncomfortable!

Hey!
Dh and I had a glorious time at Walmart.HA..He is showering then we're watching a movie. Maggie-I agree with Kate- you amaze me too!!
Kate-I had major bhx contractions with dd for the entire 3rd tri..how annoying! Hope you get to workout tomorrow. Whats the kitty's name??
See you guys tomorrow.

SUSAN!!! What are you doing typing?!!? Go join that man in the shower and come to the preggo side!!!!!!

Kitty's name is Susie! Isabel is always naming animals susie or Susan. I should've thought to tell you! The poor little thing has a chunk missing offits face - looks liek a bad fight. And a terrible limp. Breaks my heart! I want to take her to the vet but there's no way I'm spending my $ on a barn cat who will either run away or die in a month anyway. Depsite the fact that we live on a country road I'm a city girl and just can't do it.
