Hey Reena, Bethany, anyone else??

It's been a while, I wasn't sure whether or not to post. We have not been very active lately. I suppose, for me, it was had in limbo waiting for the time to TTC. I am done with my conference and can proceed when we are ready. We are planning to wait one more cycle. DH and I are going to Jamaica in July (15th-22th) and hope to be "Ja-making" a baby : ) We are going back to the same place we went on out honeymoon 8yrs ago. However, my cycle length is somewhat variable so I may not be in my window of opportunity by then. Otherwise, we will be back in gear.

Bethany, I know you must be done with the 3months of BCP's. Are you having cycles now?

Reena, are you still temping and checking ovulation stuff??

PS If it is too hard to keep the posts going or if it is just too stressful then let me know, no hard feelings.

Melanie!!! That's crazy I was just going to post to see if you all were still around!

I JUST finished my last BCP this past Friday, so it'll be awhile until I know if my cycles return. However, I'll begin to chart my temps again once I'm done bleeding. I'm also eating healthier and cut out all refined carbs/sugars - I heard that's supposed to help with fertility.

We'll be on vacation in July too (4-10th) so we'll see what happens. Jamaica sounds lovely, I'm sure you'll have a great time! Is it going to be around the time of your ovulation? How did you conference go?

I'm up for a check-in, definitely. I'm quite excited to see if the BCPs worked and finally get down to business!

Hi Melanie & Bethany,

Good to hear from you guys - I haven't been posting because there is no new news to report - hubby's job is crazy and he has been working 14 - 15 hour days - not exactly the best work schedule for baby dancing .... but still temping and charting and pretty much am dead on when I make a guesstimate about ovulation based on my data.
I will have to take command this month or next, irrespective of his work hours and get the job done lol

I am good to post, even if I've got nothing to say but hey

It's so good to hear from you both! I am glad you are all doing well.

The conference went well. I am my worst critic for sure, so it is hard for me to judge. I think my sessions where I was lecturing went ok. Overall the attendance was less likely d/t budget cuts. I think last year we had about 9500 as compared to this year at about 4500ish.

I was hoping our trip would be right in the middle of my fertile window, but of course, mother nature has other plans. I was 5 days later than schedule this cycle, so that will push me later right before our trip if not the first part of the vacation. But, we will officially be on with trying again.
Hopefully, we will all have some success this summer.

Just checking in...I had an OB appointment a couple of days ago. She was happy that I gained 3 lbs and 3% BF since my last appt 4 months ago, but I'm still only 11% (though I'm still not convinced it's body fat since I've always been this size). She also gave me the name and # of a ferility specialist and said to call him if I don't get a period in 3 more months. Three MORE months sounds like forever to me, but I understand that I've only been off of the birth control for a month and we have to wait to see if it works. I'm not super optimistic though because my temps and cervical fluid never change day after day. I asked again about being tested for PCOS but was brushed off...I guess the fertility specialist will do that? Anyway, I'm thinking about doing more yoga instead of running/high impact, but I'll wait until after the RT to change things up.

Reena, how are things going with you? Has your hubby's work schedule been busy still? Are you still going to the RT? I'm SO excited yet nervous! I won't know anyone and I don't have a clue what I'd say to Cathe...I'll be tounge-tied probably!

Melanie, I hope you're having a wonderful time in Jamaica! We had a great time in Ohio seeing family. It's kind of funny that I live in Florida but am pale as a ghost, then I went to Ohio and got a nice tan.

Just checking in. How are you both doing? Hubby's hours are still crazy, so I am just going with the flow and not worrying too much anymore....what about you guys? Any new news other than your recent posts?

Bethany - I will be at the roadtrip - PM me your cell # if you to connect and head over together from the hotel to the gym - I am going to take my own car instead of the bus.

Hey Reena and Bethany!

I just got back from Jamaica yesterday night. We had a really relaxing and wonderful time. So, we will see how it goes... With 6 days straight of sex during my fertile period, if my calculations are correct, I am hopeful right now for a return trip gift, aka what we call a Jamaican bean! But, of course, it will be a couple of weeks of hopeful waiting. Last time we tried, we got pg fairly quickly. However, I know that just b/c it was that way before, doesn't meant that it will this time around. When/if it happened I am just really concerned @ not loosing the baby. So.......

@ Bethany.. I am glad to hear about your going to a specialist. Hopefully, you will get some good answers.
@ Reena.. Hang in there girl! Have you talked to your doc about the length of time you've been trying?

I've been thinking about you two.. I am jealous that you're both going on the RT! I have never been to one. Maybe one day..
