ttc/pregnant week of feb4

HI everyone!

Jen--I've been craving bean burritos with cheese and tomatoes and lettuce, melted cheese on toast with mustard (?), cool whip and canned peaches, carrots and at least once a week, I've been sending my husband out for some sort of take out because everything in the house sounds gross. I'm really surprised that I feel so bad still, because usually I'm much better by now.

Morris--I lift as usual during pregnancy, the only exception is that I put my bench at an incline during all work whilst I lie on my back. Lifting is not as affected as cardio is for me during pregnancy. I'll probably quit working out at 38 or 39 weeks because at that point my lower back really starts to bother me with the weights. I'm terrible with abs when I'm not pregnant, so even worse when I have an excuse to avoid them. Also about the babies, my babies were in order: 8lbs 6oz, 8lbs 7oz, 8lbs 3oz, 9lbs 6oz, 10lbs 7oz, and 9lbs 1oz. The amount of weight I gained did not really corrolate with the size of the baby, which baffles me.

Lisa--I struggle with emotional eating and I don't really have any advice, I just feel your pain and angst about it.

Kristan--It's good you are getting your skin checked. Be diligent. My mother died of melanoma (not to scare you or anything). Back when she was diagnosed, people were just starting to have an awareness of it. I (with red hair, fair skin, green eyes) have worn sunscreen everyday since her diagnosis. Basal skin cancer is pretty easily taken care of though. I can't wait to hear about your ultrasound. Are you finding out this time? Wasn't it you they made a mistake with last time regarding gender?

Melanie--I'm glad you are feeling less stress. Sometimes we just have to release our desires to the Lord and let Him work in His own time. I've never had problems with fertility, but I've had other issues in my life where I've really had to learn to wait on Him.
For example, we shared a home with my mil for 11 years-- I never thought we'd have our own house--EVER, so I just eventually had to let go the desire and and then finally, we were able to buy our own house and she has her own house and the difficult experience was over and I'm actually glad that I had to go through it. The Lord grew me a lot through it. I know that a house and a baby are like comparing apples and oranges and I don't want to minimize your pain over this. I just want to encourage you ((hugs))

Autumn--the check is in the mail:) Let me know when you get it.

Whew I wrote a lot. I am supposed to do Legs and Glutes and really don't feel like it. Perhaps I'll just double up tomorrow and do a leg/cardio circuit from the l&G/KPC DVD. Yeah, that's the ticket......

Hi to anyone I missed
take care all
Maggie:)
12 weeks,3 days

Kristan - I'm glad you got it taken care of and it's not melanoma. My mom had the same thing on her leg and she just got it removed and it was done with. I'm a freak about the sunscreen and all that because I live in Hawaii. I go to the dermatologist anytime I see something that seems off to me, but so far I've been lucky and he said all looks normal, but I keep checking. I wonder what the correlation with pg women is. Keep us updated on your u/s!

Morris - Do you have any names picked out yet? I hope the time that DH is gone flies by. I can imagine it's tougher now that you're pg.

Melanie - Hi!!! So good to see a post from you. Yes, I can imagine what a relief it must be not to have to think about all that TTC stuff. Sometimes I think maybe I should just let it go and see what happens also, but I'm not there yet.

Maggie - I just noticed you're 12 weeks already! Are you going to find out what you're having this time around?

Jen - I never felt faint during my pgs, but have heard that it's pretty common. When do you see your ob?

I didn't work out today, but the eating was a little better. No workout tonight, just wine! :) Tomorrow I'll workout for sure, but not sure what.

hi everyone

i am so happy the sun is out today. shortly, ds, puppy dog, and i will go out for a little fresh air. it is cold!!

jen, i hope you are feeling better. i definately get light headed when i first get up in the am. i have to take it slow for a few seconds, then it is better.

maggie, those are some cravings - i shouldn't comment though as i had a california brown rice sushi roll for breakfast - mmmmmm!

kristan, only a few more days, right? i cannot wait to hear what you are having.

lisa, glad the eating was better. mine wasn't too bad yesterday, but small amounts of processed foods are still processed! hoping today is better.

hi melanie - is dh's surgery complete? how did you manage that trip with the kids. hope he is on the mend quickly.

i had a great workout this am - i did power circuits from ctx and amys kbx. it now takes me about 30 minutes into a workout before i feel good. the first 30 minutes it is all i can do to not shut the dvd off and go back to bed. i am already looking forward to a nap this afternoon. also, i am a bit lonely today, for what it is worth. the first days of dh's trip are the hardest, and of the few friends i have up here, they are all busy. i will try to stay busy too and not wallow.

Hi,
I go to see the dr. on 3/3. I didn't feel too lightheaded this morning. My DH is sick (AGAIN), so he is sleeping and I am trying to get some housework done. My DS (almost 3) is "housecleaning" his drawers and bookshelves (a.k.a. he is taking out all of his clothes and taking off all of his books, smiling the whole time}( ). Gotta run!
