TTC/Preggers Week of June 1st

daily check ins might be good!!

i too was checking back to hear from kate but am glad to see everyone here.

welcome stephaine! i hope your next us goes well. you have a fantastic attitude.

susan, fingers crossed witht the blood test results. i will be praying for you and your baby.

lisa, enjoy imax 2!! i need to pull that one out again this week.

my doc isn't too concerned about me measuring small as i did with ds and he was just fine. the main thing with the us tomorrow is the weight guesstimate. even then, they will only worry if there is no growth since last us (unlikely) or if i am below the 10th %. i think things will be just fine, but i am looking forward to seeing my guy again. off to bathtime with ds and bed. bbl

Oh, My! This is some busy place today. O.K., here it goes...

I have been on my feet all day, and I am starting to feel the effects of pregnacy! I have had some minor pain in my ab/pelvis area too, but I think it's because this darn baby is growing very fast! I feel huge in my belly area. This just "sprouted" over the past 3 weeks or so. The little guy is very active, and he likes to kick and punch in the evening (like right now). Is anyone else feeling all the kicks and punches too? Maybe he's doing KPC or Cardio Kicks! I am not going to exercise today because my body is telling me to rest, and I am going to listen to it!

Candra-Sorry to hear that you stepped on a nail. I have strange things happen to me too this pregnancy, like when I got a tick in my stomach (gross).

Kristan-I can't believe that you and Morris are going to have your babies so soon. Too funny about the shaving!

Maggie-My brother loves Rush, and I like some of their music. The last concert I went to was Madonna (of course). I did have an offer to go see the NKOTB, but it was in August, and I didn't feel like sitting on an uncomfortable chair in August.

Trish-Great run! How do you ladies keep "everything" in place when you run? I use double sports bras while doing Cathe!

Morris-I can't believe how close you are too. I wish I could wear scrubs to work, it would make it so much easier! My friend at work just became a dog "grandma". Her little dog gave birth to 4 puppies yesterday while my friend was at work. She was so upset she missed the birth. She came home, and there they all were. The pics were way too cute! She said it was so neat to see all the babies inside the mother-just like us.

Lisa-I would LOVE an elliptical (someday).

Susan-I spotted a lot at first too with this pregnancy, and it was pink and sometimes a little red. I freaked out, and I even got an early u/s done to make sure everything was o.k. It was, and I am 22 weeks. Keep us posted.

Kate-How was your appt?

Stephanie-I love the names of your two boys. Welcome!

Hi to anyone I missed.

-Jen

I won't post till Friday due to finishing homework tomorrow and class on thursday night.

I agree that a daily check-in might be good. This check-in is growing and that's a good thing, but it is a lot to scroll through all the posts:p .

Okay, I really do have a minute now. Life has been totally crazy with testing and dr's and dentist appt's, but things should slow down next week. I was going to post last weeks workouts, but now I can't really remember what I did--circuits and walking. Dh and I celebrated our 15yr anniversery a little early last weekend:* :* :* . And I've begun nesting, I guess. Usually by the end of the school year the house is way out of control and this year is no exception, so I've started the crazy mad process of going through every room systematically to try and regain some control. It must be done.

Kate--bummer on the diastis. I don't know much about it and I think it kind of sucks when all the information is conflicting. That makes an issue all the more confusing. Keep us posted on that. And a roast beef sandwich sounds really good right now.

Trish--sorry about the hot and humid weather. It has been unseasonably cold and rainy here (heavenly weather in my opinion). Your kids are the ages mine were when I was expecting my 4th child.

Jen--everything is irritating my belly right now. At home, I just want to walk around with my shirt above it and my pants below it--exposed! It's not a pretty sight and the kids keep drawing faces on it...

Lisa--I love feeling the baby move. How far along are you now?

Kristan--I was definitely more tired when I had Evangeline (37) and with this baby (I'll be 40 in a couple of weeks). Dh and ds had a really good time at Rush. They were dh's first concert when he was about ds's age, and this was ds's first concert. They were very polished and professional and played for about 3 hours. I was a real metal head in high school/college, so while I liked Rush I was never into them the same way dh was/is (Now I'd love to take ds to see Iron Maiden in two months, but not 9 months pregnant:p )

Melanie--I'm sorry about the housing woes. My brother is a mortgage guy and things are tight for him right now. It must be pretty much all over the US. Hang in there--sounds like you've got a lot on your plate. I'll be praying for you.

Morris--you will be running again in no time. Sorry that you and dh are having issues. That must be unsettling. I'll pray about that too. I'm sure everything will be fine with your ultrasound--I always measure way, way ahead--just my pattern.

Mikkia--morning sickness and Disney World--oh my, I don't know how I'd survive all the smells. I have no advice--only a (((hug))).

Candra--congrats on the 3rd boy. Boys have their issues, but atleast you won't have to deal with those lovely female hormones that start to blossom around age 11 (at least around here). I hope your foot is okay--keep us posted.

Susan--(((hugs))--Please keep us posted on all the blood work and such. I think spotting in early pregnancy is fairly common and not necessarily cause for worry. Welcome.

Stephanie--3 boys for you too--I have 3 boys, but I also have 3 girls and am expecting another girl (the tie-breaker;) ). I think your baby is probably fine. The quad screen is pretty accurate. I do have a child with downs, but my test results put me at a much higher risk of downs+the heart defect they found during the ultrasound put me at a 10-20% risk. I was fairly prepared for him. But I hear of issues like yours all the time and the baby is healthy, so please don't worry.

If I didn't get everyone--I totally apologize.

take care, all

Maggie :)
29 weeks, 1 day

Yipes Fripes! We def. need to break this down into a daily thing!

My day has been good. Midwife went well. She really eased my mind about the diastasis. She said my split was very mild, told me to avoid crunches, and even gave me a belly dance dvd to do so I can keep working my abs! How cool is that?! She also said I have fantastic ab muscles! Gosh, I love that woman!!!!

Eats were great til post-dinner. We were out to eat and DH oredered choc. cake w/ choc. frosting - my utter and complete absolute wekaness. Didn't eat too much and I don't feel guilty. My weight gain the last 2 months is 6 pounds - ^5 to me! Right on track.

No workout today - I had payroll tonight and I'm tired. Will do my belly dancing and hopefully soemthing else tomorrow.

Now, time to catch up!
First, thanks to all who were chekcing on me! mwah!:*

Susan. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you!

Stephanie - So glad to see you here! KUP on the ultrasound. I'd be freaking out but you sound so in-control. Good for you! No sweat on the 3 musketeers - calcium, right?;-)

Melanie, I'll see you and raise. Triple poster+ here!:+

Lisa, yay on quickening! Hope you got to Imax!

Morris, Sleep tight and rest well.

Jen, good for you for listening to your body!

Maggie, LOL on your painted belly!!! Evangeline- what a beautiful name! Does she have a nickname?

----------------------------

Okay, whoever is up first in the AM start our daily posting! Sooooo nice to have so many preggos!

Kate, I was just teasing. I think one of your posts actually posted back to back (a double). I'm glad your midwife put you at ease.

I"m beat today. I"m always so tired my 1st trimester. I told one of my close friends today, and she didn't even congrat me,...maybe it's a 4th kid thing? Of course, I"m so emotional too (I normally cry annually).

I"m up at 430, anyone else up that early?!?!?

Melanie, ooh! I hope what i wrote didn't come across as snotty! I know I double post sometimes - I get impatient with my slow computer, thinking it's not working. So sorry!

Sorry about your friend. LOL on crying annually. Sorry for the tiredness too. Any nausea? I swear taht alone would keep me from getting pg again!

I think you'll be our designated starter!! I used to wake up early with DH but not now being pg - I want my sleep cause I know it isn't going to last much longer!

Yay for the good appt. Kate!

Maggie - OMG, I remember Iron Maiden. I was a metalhead too, but the later stuff like Metallica, Megadeth, etc... I love exposing my belly at night also. I get soooo hot and I like letting my belly "breathe."

I definitely won't be the starter since I'm on HI time and I probably get up when most of you are half way through your day! Off to do IMAX2. Wish me luck, lol!
