TTC/Preggers Check-In March 2

Hey Maggie! Today was not too bad. Hope you're doing well.

The Bosu was so much fun, girls!! I did BM2 power circuits on it. I was feeling so great I ended up doing Step Combo 1 too. The wobble factor made it great fun. Some moves are a little clumsier so you don't make them explosive but it is so worth it!!

Gotta run - bbl.

that does sound like a neat workout, kate. hope you continue to feel good. for me, exercise helped the most with nausea.

kristin, maternity jeans are frustrating, but very comfy....

hi maggie - i would love a spinning bike. i spun all thru 1st pregnancy at the gym. it was great.

today i did imax 3!! i dn't know why, but i could do all the jumps. i slept terribly last nigth after an awful conversation with my mother. i needed to do a little something at 5 am. i am hoping to do some weights later. also hoping to not medicate with choclate. this is just so very very hard - both my parents are hurting, stubborn, and angry. plus, they now have no plans to get counseling. i am so frustrated.

Morris, You are amazing - exercise helped with nausea and as far along as you are you're doing all of Imax3. You're amazing. And, hey, if you need to medicate with chocolate - a little Dove dark choc. goes a LONG way - yum! Hope things straighten out. ((hug))

I'm doing really good today. The nausea is there but very manageable - pass me the carbs! Much to my dismay they are what keep it under control. Hoping to do PUB tonight after DDs go to bed.

Time for my nap! Hopefully DDs are willing too. We all snuggle in my bed reading books til we crash. Probably my favorite time of day!

Morris - I'm all for chocolate therapy esp. Dove's dark. Wow, IMAX3!!! Sometimes I can barely do all the jumps not pg, you're amazing! I notice excercise helps me tremendously with the yuckiness I've been feeling.

Kate - I love PUB. I hope the nausea stays away from you today.

Okay, short post, but I'm at work and gotta run. I'll bbl later with better personals. I did BM2 cardio blast and triceps last night and it felt awesome. Working out does help me feel better even if I woke up around 12am feeling sick. BBL!

Lisa

Hi Lisa! Hope the midnight wake-up doesn't become a habit! I was having a hard time sleeping a couple weeks ago - glad that's over! I just had an hour+ nap. Now I need to eat!}(

kate, i truly believe carbs are great for no nausea. i found it such a weird thing b/c i usually don't eat many carbs, but first trimester, i subsisted on them.

this difficult sleeping thing must be contagious as i had another rugh night - perhaps it is just stress. i maanaged to pull out a good run - 9.4 mil. hoping to get in some leg work alter. right now, this baby is kicking me like crazy as i type - must be a soccer player in there!

anne, how are you???

Hi guys! Just wanted to drop in and say hello real quick before leaving for the day! I agree with you guys regarding the carbs. I hate that I'm eating all these carbs, but it does help the nausea stay away. I notice my nausea at times have been creeping in during the day also. Hope it doesn't get worst as time goes on. Anyway, hope you guys are doing well!

Morris - Aren't you getting close?

Kate - How are you feeling today?

Anne - Yes, where are you? HOw are you doing?

Better get going!

Lisa

Morris & Lisa - Glad I'm not the only carb craver around here! Today has been one after another. All of my pre-preg carbs were whole-grain type stuff. Now it's like "WHERE IS THE WHITE BREAD?!"}(

Today is not so super. Y'day AM I woke up feeling so great and was hopeful the worst was past. Oh well - it s a journey, right??

Morris, Great job on the run! Did you ever have a time in your pg that you DIDN'T feel good to w/o?

Lisa, Hope the nausea monster leaves you quickly!

Tomorrow night DH & I are going to check out the birth center even tho I've already made up my mind to go there. It will be nice to see it. The biggest drawback to me is that its about 40 min away vs. 15 for the hospital. Oh well. It will be so worth it to get the birth we want.

My CALVES, of all things, are KILLING me from my Bosu w/o on Monday. They feel like they are gonna split in 2!

Everybody take care - see you!

Just a quick note as I have my second job to do tonight. Catch up with personals later!

Morris - You are a super woman with your IMAX 2 and 10 mile runs! Wow...I don't even do 10 mile runs not preggers!

Well ladies, my Beta definitely doubled from 278 on Monday to 780 today!!!! That is making me feel pretty good about things. Dr. is going to get me in on 3/17 for my first u/s to see if we have a heartbeat. Some people are telling me my numbers are high and could indicate twins! YIKES! All though, I'd be blessed with 2 off the bat, b/c with my age this would probably be the only one we have...

Hope everyone is well this week and chat later!

Kate - That's great that you're doing a natural birth! Tell us how it is after you check it out. I'd be interested to see what it's all about. Not sure we have one here...

Anne- yeah on the rising numbers. Twins would be such a blessing.

I saw my new dr. yesterday (my good friend's husband). Should have switched a couple of pregnancies ago. LOVE him. It wasn't weird at all, and I got a bonus ultrasound out of the visit. He is the perfect blend of common sense/medical training. And, he also runs ultramarathons and the like. My old dr. was fine and actually pretty decent, but I just didn't LOVE her or her staff.

I enrolled my girls in swim classes at the YMCA. I swim laps while they take the class. I got a mile swim accomplished in about 45 minutes. My arms started feeling like jello at lap 10, but then I felt much stronger. Must be all that Cathe training because I haven't done laps since the summer.

My boobs are really sore, left more than right; they were itchy last week, now they hurt. My husband swears I make this complaint with every baby in the second trimester. Anyone else? I am 23 weeks. I'll discuss with the dr. as well.

Anne - Wooohooo on the rising numbers!!! BTW, I don't know if I ever answered your qx about my due date, but it's roughly around Nov.4. The nurse gave me Nov. 2-3, but I'm using the 4th since I know my cycles are a little longer than 28 days. I'm soooo excited for you!! I have an appt on March 20 and I hope I get an ultrasound also.

Kate - I'm glad you found a birthing center you love. I think it'll be worth the little extra drive to go somewhere you want to be. I know what you mean about waking up feeling good and then getting hit with the blahs.

Kristan - Swimming sounds so good. It's so muggy here that I dread going out for any kind of excercise. I'm glad your new dr. worked out well.

Morris - Do you guys have names picked out yet?

Today was an okay day. I am going to workout after this. The nausea wasn't too bad today. Felt good all day and then crashed in the afternoon, but felt better after eating dinner. I bought organic multi-grain pretzels to help with my carb cravings.

We also found out today that my FIL has a nodule in his left lung. We're hoping and praying that it isn't cancer, but we won't find out until next week after he has a CT scan. Please say a prayer if you can. We're trying not to worry, but it's hard.

Half the week is gone already!! Hope everyone is having a great week so far.

Lisa

Hello, Anne! How's it going today? Gettin' ready for twins?!?!?!

Kristan, Glad you like your OB, and great job on the swim! I'm thinking about going back to water aerobics that I used to do with my sisters. It would be just one night a week, but its fun to go with them. Re boobs: YOWZA!!! Mine are KILLING me!! They feel like they're stuck in a mammogram machine and my nipples get all tingly like I'm about to nurse a baby! This did not happen with either of my previous pregs. Go figure. And they are growing, but poor DH - I won't let him near them! I hurt too much! haha!

Lisa, Hope you get to see your babe! We'll have to wait until May. Glad your nausea was manageable. How are the pretzels? (((big hug))) for FIL. The baby will give him hope.

I have a busy busy day today that won't stop until about 10PM. Last thing on our list is the open house for the birth center and get signed up to start care there. I can't wait. One of my sisters is coming over to babysit so DH & I will get to go out to eat too! yay - date night! No workout for me today - much too busy. Hopefully tomorrow. (And hopefully we have time to go to ColdStone tonight! Kids portion, of course!)

Lisa - Let us know how the u/s goes! Glad the nauseau is letting up a bit. Saying a prayer for your FIL...sorry, try not to worry too much until you know what's going on.

Hi Kristan - Glad you like your new Dr! I kind of went off of a referral, but there are 4-5 that rotate, so I end up seeing all of them and then the one on call during my time will deliver it. Anyone else experience this? This being my first, I'm not sure on what to expect with anything.

Morris - How are your parents doing? Do they both lean on you quite a bit and vent? That would be hard. Hang in there.

Hi Kate! Oh, I'm not thinking twins until I know for sure. Kind of freaking DH out...}( Have fun on your birthing tour!

HI Maggie! - How's it going?

Hi Melanie!

I don't have a lot of symptoms, so I hope that's 'normal'. I just feel really hungry in the mornings, which causes a little upset tummy and I'm super tired by about 2-3 in the afternoon. I've been taking 1-2 hour naps when I get home and then not able to sleep at night. Need to stop doing that.

Chat later,

good morning everyone

just a quick post and i will be back later.

kate, that birthing center sounds wonderful - i look forward to hearing all your options.

kirstan, my boobs itch like crazy too. no pain, just itch, and it makes me crazy. so glad you like your new doc. swimming does sound good. wish it did not involve bathing suits.

hi lisa - what workout did you do? my prayers are with your fil. i hope it is benign.

hi jen - how are you?

anne, awsome news about the numbers. keep us posted. keep on napping as it does feel wonderful.

i am having a really yucky day. still upset about my parents. not sure what to do, and i have not slept well all week. i did kpc and bootcamp cardio only this am, and it did help me feel more like myself. unfortunately, now i feel like a bowl of jello. a fat bowl of jello. must get into surgery, but i will bbl

Hi,
I just got home from grad class. Wow! This post is really busy. I haven't been home much last 3 days due to fumes from hardwood floor finishing. Tomorrow, the guy will do more work, so I will sleep at a friends house. Saturday, I am visiting my parents till Sunday. By then, it should be fine.
Kate-I love Cold Stone!!!
I didn't write my "notes" down about each of your posts like I usually do (I can't remember too much lately), but for some reason I remember Cold Stone?

I also go to a large practice where I have to see 8 doctors, and I also get whoever is on call. I don't mind it because I haven't had a bad experience yet.

I had my appt. on Monday, and it went well. I met with a midwife, and she talked to me at great length about c-section vs VBAC. It is up to me to decide, and I just don't know if I want to go through what I went through with my son (he got stuck in my pelvis so I needed an emergency C-Section). I talked to my sister, who is a dr. and she told me the same things as the midwife did. I have time to decide, though.

I am tired, so I am going to try and do a little workout before bed. I did Drill Max premix (39 min one) lastnight. I didn't feel like working out on Tues, and on Monday I did TJ. O.K., I am off.
-Jen

jen, sorry for the fatigue - hope you got a workout in and some rest.

i went to bed at 9 last night and got out of bed at 6:15 this morning. now, b/c i did not workout, i am dragging. i am talking myself into a workut this afternoon, though, before i pick ds up. then, tomorrow, we head to washington for an overnight - dh's friend is getting married. i do not like traveling, but i am hoping it is a fun weekend away.

how is everyone? any fun plans for the weekend or fun workouts lately?

Hi all,
Thanks for the congrats Autumn!

How is everyone this Friday morning? Ughh...my knees are killing me and I can't figure out why (beside the osteoarthritis flaring up). I can't bear weight on my left knee and I've only been riding the bike and doing leg workouts lately. I'm a little nervous to do aerobics, until I'm 'out of the woods' so to speak.

Jen - Good news about your Midwife, but a hard decision to make seeing as how you had the emergency C-section, uhh.

Well, I got some more numbers back today! Had one last HCG done yesterday, so it was about 30 hours from the last one. My numbers jumped again from 780 on Wednesday to 1498 on Thursday, so that should tide me over for a while until my first u/s on the 17th. Not feeling really sick or anything yet, so happy about that, but nervous.

When did most of you start feeling really sick?

Nothing really planned for the weekend here. Just work the second job at home and pray for no snow. It's snowing AGAIN here in IA. Tired of it! }(

Hope everyone has a nice Friday and weekend!
