Kate~now a hot tub sounds wonderful!!

Stephanie~that is so funny!! I was laughing too. LOL at big things.. I am the same way and my older son who is 6 said to me the other day I was getting "fat" Then he quickly said you know because of the baby. I don't ususally dress/undress in front of him, but if he comes in i dont' hide becaus eI don't want him to think there is anything wrong w/ our bodies.. well now I am thinking I will hide since he thinks I am "fat"



Candra~I tried one of those belts w/ my last pregnancy and I didn't find it very comfy.. maybe I didn't have a good one. If this keeps up and then I will mention it to the dr. on the 23rd and I am getting an u/s that day anyway so I'll have them see if there is something down on the right that would be causing pain.. if not maybe I should try the belt again.

Not much time to post. I went to the ob today. Did a quick u/s- placenta and fluid levels are good. Dr. is fine with me proceeding as a VBAC which I am VERY happy about. Next week is an internal check and u/s to measure baby. Dr. said I didn't look like I was carrying big, but I reminded him that I never do. I always look like this and my kids have all been 9 pounds.

See my post in open discussion about the tick I found on my back. I live in the city for goodness sakes. I shouldn't have to worry about ticks! We have enough problems with drive-bys and lead paint and the school system.

Maggie- I am an insurance co. defense atty. I represent the employers/insurers in workers comp cases. Boring, but a good job for just 3 days a week.

Melanie- hope your house sells. That would be a relief!

Stephanie- I am the queen of Target. Ours is new and has an underground parking garage. LOVE that place. It's such a win-win; our school gets a rebate of what I spend on my card, PLUS I get a 10% coupon off my entire purchase everytime I spend $1000 on the card (easy to do!).

Kate and others- I am a milk FREAK. I drink it with dinner every night.

Went shopping today. Loaded up at the Talbot kid 50% sale. I got a first communion dress for my daughter for next year for $30!

Extended family makes me want to beat my head against a wall and scream. That's all I can say on a public forum.

Lisa--my boobs are particularly tender this pregnancy. I don't know what's up with that. My mil gave me a bra--ugly, but supportive and substantial.

Melanie--I didn't find out with my first 4, but now the pressure from all the kids is just too great. They want to know and they want to know bad. I've found out for the last 3. I think not knowing makes it labor and delivery extra special though....

Candra--I have around 10 weeks. I'm tempted to schedule an early induction because of my back pain. We'll see, because I really don't want to be induced unless I have a really good medical reason. I also do not stand on the scale--too demoralizing. I always gain a ton (way more than the average woman). I just like to deal with it afterwards when I know that there is something I can do about it.

Trish--a 4 mile walk looks pretty good to me. I think I might try LL with very light weight tomorrow when I do SH shoulders. I don't care for SH legs and always substitute another leg workout.

Kate--oddly, sour grapes sound tasty....but the chips sound better.:9 You have more self control than me--I'd probably eat some of both.

Stephanie--LOL on your 3 yr old. That is hilarious. And you sound just like me over the fetal movement stuff. Some just move more than others and all mine have run the gamut from barely moving ever to popcorn.

Kristan--sorry about the tick. I haven't been to open discussion yet. You are very close. I'm glad everything is looking good. Cool that your job is flexible.

Kristan, Glad all looks well w/ the babe. Props to you for trying a VBAC! That's great!

Maggie, Sympathy in the in-laws! My MIL is going on and on about how much the new baby's ultrasound picture LOOKS LIKE HER!!!!!!!!!! My 4-yo. Isabel is the spitting image of me and she REFUSES to admit it, instead saying she looks like her UNCLE!! My 6-yo. Gina is their side all the way and I am more than happy to admit it. She's beautiful and they all are on that side. I have no idea why MIL acts the way she does sometimes! She is a wonderful God-fearing woman and I really do love her to pieces, but sometimes..... yikes.

Can only make a quick post, but wondered what happened with Morris? How did things go and what did she have? I think I missed a bunch of posts somewhere...that's what I get for not getting on here but once every few weeks.
