TTC/Preg Check in June 5th

Hi Suzanne, yep, I'm all knocked up. After just one quick evening in May. Go figure, we try for years & then after on SHORT session, BAM!!!!!

Mikkia, did you ask about telling people? I guess we're still in shock, so we haven't told very many people. I doubt that my DH told anyone. My mom knows (and whoever she told), a close friend at work & in town and one other gal who lives hours away. I don't plan on officially telling anyone until 2nd trimester or so. I'm sure my boss won't handle it well either. My contract is written up for paid 8 weeks & she acts like she's on the border of bankruptcy all the time. It sounds awful (and illegal), but I can actually picture her trying to fire me,...so that's gonna wait!!

My inductions didn't work well. Took hours with DS#1, ended up with a C/s DH#2.

I wish I had enough NRG to do Imax3. Just 7 more weeks until my NRG levels should return.

Morris I was induced with DS1 b/c he was overdue and I had no problems. I would suggest if you are planning on getting an epidural to get it as soon as they will allow. I didn't get much time between contractions and I was a witch

Melanie, funny how it only takes one time when you are not expecting.

Suzanne, So nice of you to pop in! We found out last week we are having our third GIRL! I am sososososo excited. How is your brood doing? Tomorrow is a weights day - I need to do PPW!

Melanie, The conception for this one was the ONLY time on the whole month we had sex AND it was AFTER I ovulated. How crazy is that?!

Candra, I had no time between contractions either. It was awful but it was moving so quick I figured I'd go without the epi. Can't say I was super nice... kept telling DH to push harder for the counter-pressure. He was like "I'm gonna push you off the bed if I push harder!" That's when I threw off my bp cuff and told him to push harder! We love that story!

I did Imax3 step combos and the finsihed combos from 4DS HIS & LIS. Hoping for CS tonight. And maybe some other version of cardio...gotta work off that cake you know!}(

Candra - Thanks for the heads up on the movie. DS is going to be 9 soon and dd just turned 6 so we'll see how they like it. DS has been bugging us to go.

Stephanie - Good luck at the dentist!

Morris - I was induced both times. In fact, I was at the end of 37 weeks when my water broke with my first and I waited (yes, stupid of me) to go in. I ended up going in after a day or so and they induced me so right as I turned 38 weeks, ds was born. I was also induced with dd. I was walking around 4-5cm so my dr. said to just go to the hospital before I end up giving birth in the car. Both my labors went fast. 6 hrs with ds and 4 hrs with dd so induction isn't so bad. I have no other experiences except being induced so I have nothing to compare it with, but it was okay for me. KUP when you hear word from your dr.

Melanie - That's all it takes is ONE time, lol!

Kate - Too funny about DH and working out. Yeah, men have major brute strength that's for sure. I do have better ab strength than my DH also, but I must say he lifts super heavy and I couldn't even compare to him.

I'm back from my appt. and everything was great. I got to finally hear the hb on the doppler. All the tests came back normal so I'm really happy. I have gained 13 lbs so far at 18-1/2 weeks. Yikes, I better slow down on the carbs. I usually gain a lot in the beginning and then toward the beg. of my 3rd trimester, I really slow down. I don't know why, but it always happens that way. Probably due to the fact that I'm huge and I get full fast so I eat less. Oh well, I'm going to enjoy being pg and I know I'll be back working out like normal after birth so I am going to NOT worry about it so much.

Lisa, yay to the hb!!! Fast like a girl?! I found it impossible to NOT give into the carb cravings in the 1st trimester. It was crazy. I'm normally a low-low carb gal and when I do have them it's whole grains, but the white bread demon was on my shoulder the whole time. Like you said, enjoy the pg and we'll work it off later.

Dinner was yummy, DH & DDs are outside. I need to join them for a bit then it's time for Celebration Cake!

Thanks guys for the good-dentist-vibes. It went well. They patched the tooth and will work on it more after I deliver. It was really a breeze.
