Hello ladies. Just a quick post here to get us going,...slow on the boards yesterday,...hope that means everyone was having fun in the sun!!!

I slept in today, no workout, I feel pretty good though and have a semi-busy work week. Looking forward to fireworks---if I can make it through the week. Yesterday I think I was feeling better--just one nap & I made it until 10pm!!!!

I gotta get to work, check back later.

Oh, someone had asked about Xanax (alprazolam) if it was safe in pregnancy. It is NOT safe in pregnancy, it is category "D" which means studies have shown fetal harm in animals and it should be stayed away from in human pregnancy.

TTFN (ta ta for now)

Hello all!

MElanie, Glad y'day was a better day for you. We're excited for fireworks too!

I was feeling very big & pg y'day so I did LIS!!! I haven't done that one in FOREVER! I felt like a goon that that actually got my hr up!

Groceries, chiro, and staying at home the rest of the day today.
I weighed myself this AM and it wasn't nearly as bad as it could've been, so that's encouraging to keep the eating clean today.

Hope you all have a great day - bbl

Hi all. Just thought I'd say hi. I have been on the couch all weekend. Not sure why. I still am having really bad nausea and vomiting, but I ahve a really nasty headcold to go with it, so I think all the drainage is the real problem. This too shall pass, I hope.
Nothing going on here. DH took kids swimming and golfing yesterday. He let dd drive the golf cart and she ran over his foot and turned his ankle. i don't think she'll be driving again soon.

Melanie I hope your long stretch of work goes smoothly and you feel good!
Kate-I know how you feel about being out of breath with LIS. I did cardio and weights on Sat and it nearly killed me (that is the easiest dvd I have) I wanted to cry. oh well. Good to hear about weight gain, sounds like you are doing so good! have a great day.

Hi to all of you preggie girls to follow. I am going to try and drag myself to work this am. pretty sure coworkers will figure this out pretty soon, as I look like something from a zombie movie this am.

Mikkia, LOL but I am SURE you don't look like a zombie movie! Sorry you're having such a rough go. Not long and the 1st trim will be over -hang in there! Nice you got some quiet time y'day - too bad about DH's foot! Thanks for the sympathy on the WO's. Today is going to be a light day too.

Hi girls! Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Melanie--I'm glad you're feeling better today!

Kate--Congrats on the weight! I hate Monday weigh-ins, and I'm skipping it this morning. Had a really bad eating weekend.

Mikkia--I'm very sure you don't look like a zombie! But I know you must feel like one-- I'm sorry you still are sick at your stomach. Maybe it will soon pass.

Hi to everyone else!!!

----
Well, Henry woke up Saturday morning and threw up so he didn't get to go to Gramps Camp at my parent's house until Sunday. But he enjoyed being the only child at home Saturday night. And my other one enjoyed spending time with my parents and my niece. So it all worked out well. I've also got to go do grocery shopping today like Kate. Yuck. I hate grocery shopping now that everything is SOOOOO expensive and I'm trying to be good about buying organic. Then I have a lot to do to get ready for our trip this week. We're going to my in-laws' house in the North Georgia mountains for the fourth. I'm really excited but I always have a fear of traveling when I'm pregnant. Anyway, hope everyone has a great day!!!

Hi girls! I haven't checked in for a few days now.

Mikkia, morning sickness alone is bad but getting the flu with it yikes! How many weeks are you now? Hopefully this should all be over soon.

Melanie, I can't wait for your doctor appt. My friend just had twin boys 10 weeks ago. They are adorable.

Kate, I feel the same with my workouts. I have been sticking with the elliptical b/c I'm scared I won't make it through a step workout without having to modify it to pieces. I will have to try LIC.

Stephanie, sorry about Henry. Stuff like that always happens when you are going to have a night to yourselves.

Trish, any news on the house? Good job on the running.

Kristan, how are you feeling? Maybe you will have a fouth of July baby.

Hi Jen, Maggie, Susan! Sorry if I missed anyone.

We took the boys to see Wall-e yesterday. That movie was soooo boring. They have been advertising that movie for a year now so I was expecting something great. My youngest was even asking when the movie was going to be over.

I'm going to go and feed the boys breakfast and do a lower body workout. I will check back

Hey Ladies!
Hope everyone is having a good day. Dd and I are just playing games this morning. Later I'll have to go grocery shopping. I did C&W this morning. I am really tired today too and crampy. When I went to see the dr last week she did some bloodwork to check my levels...she never called with my results which is typical..so I figured they were ok. I had to call today to get some bills faxed to dh so I asked about the bloodwork. My numbers are still up and I go back this Wed for another test. I feel very pms'y right now and that concerns me. How could I have ovulated while still bleeding from a m/c. Thanks for all your support here!
Candra-thanks for the Wall E review. I loath boring movies!!

Stephanie, Sorry about Henry! GLad it all worked out though. Good for you for buying organic - I try to as much as possible too. Gina breaks out all over if she has non-organic dairy so that keeps the dairy portion a must for us. I do buy "regular" milk for Dh though. Your plans sound great - how long of a trip is that for you guys?

Candra, Which LB WO did you do? Sorry about Wall-E. I actually hadn't even heard of it until you all started talking about it.

Susan, ((((hugs))) I hope you find out somehting - soon!

Our day is going well. Errands are done and so is lunch. Going to nap the kids, hopefully get a little one myself, and start with choremax and prepping stuff for dinner. I invited DH's folks to come over so it should be a nice evening. Except for the fact that MIL is deathly afraid of our dog. It drives me crazy. Yes, he's a great dane, but he is friendlier and better behaved than her dumb ankle-biter chihuahua. Nothing against you small-dog lovers but I HATE THAT DOG!!! I hope the breeze dies down so we can eat outside. Maybe I can get the dog to eat off her plate!!!}( BADBAD daughter-in-law I am!:+

Kate- lol on your MIL. We had a great dane/shepherd mix; i love big dogs.

Stephanie- we did our puke time last weekend. there is something nasty going around. I'm still here!

Speaking of which, went to the dr. today. Baby measures about 8+ pounds. My cervix, however, hasn't changed a bit in 10 days. Dr. and I agree that a run today would be good.

I may move my c/s date to 7-9 and see if anything happens since we're not worried about a huge baby. I have a NST and check again on Thursday. I'm going for acupuncture tomorrow. I'm going to try evening primrose oil, pineapple and a little wine with each dinner. This is somewhat frustrating since I was 4 cm at this time with child #3. I always thought people went earlier each time- not my situation. Maggie/Trish- what was your experience?

In the grand scheme of things, this is not a big deal, but I really thought I'd be a good VBAC candidate. I obviously won't be if I don't go into labor sponteneously since induction is NOT an option.

Hi,
I actually already did ME this morning, so I am feeling good about that! It lasted through Einsteins, Mickey and part of Handy Manny on Disney, so DS was pretty occupied. I feel a little bad about doing exercise while he watches t.v., but on the other hand, I NEEDED to do that today or it wasn't going to get done. He knows who Cathe is, and says "hello" to her. He also likes to "make muscles" and step up and down on the mini-step:) .
I thought we had finally won the war on the ants in this room I am typing from, but I was very wrong. Today, I saw hundreds more, so I called the exterminator. They are coming tomorrow to inspect and tell us what they will need to do. I swear every time we are ready to redo this room, some unexpected house issue comes about;( .
I hope to finish painting the trim in the new baby's room today. DH should get the ceiling finished too. Then, we'll just need to price carpeting. There are wood floors in there now, but they are in really bad shape.

Mikkia-Sorry about the vomiting and the flu. You need a break already. I am sending healthy vibes your way.

Susan-I hope you get some answers soon. Do you think there is any chance you did ovulate and are pregnant without realizing it?

Kate-Do you have to go far to see fireworks? I think we're going to my sister's for the 4th, but there are fireworks pretty much everynight this week and a little bit next week, around here. Each township/city does their own fireworks, so it's nice to have a choice. I don't care for little biting dogs either.

Melanie-I hope this stretch of workdays goes quickly for you.

Candra-I never heard of Wall-E either until you mentioned it. But, today, I did see it in the paper. I want to go see Sex and the City.

Stephanie-I loathe going grocery shopping. I usually go on Thursday or Fridays. I hit the discount grocery store first, then to the bigger chain. Grocery prices keep going up and up and up just like everything else these days. Boy, I sound like my grandmother!

Hello to everyone else!

-Jen

Kristan, YAY to another big dog fan! Lots going on for you and baby. Ever try castor oil or curb-walking? I'd have to be pretty desperate for castor oil, but for curb-walking: Find a curb (or use your step!) and walk down the length of it with one foot on it and one foot on the road. Repeat on the other side. Not sure how long to do it for but it rocks your pelvis and helps baby to descend. I hope all goes well for you. ANd don't forget to HAVE SEX!!! The hormones in the sperm have been known to do finish things up down there!

Jen, Good job getting your WO in! YUCK to the ants! Nasty! I'd be calling an exterminator too. Can you post a pic of the baby's room when it's done?

DDs are down for a nap, I'm going to get soem things done. For some ODD reason I couldn't get to sleep! gr!

Kate, I did PP lower body x3. I have been using that workout a lot lately. We had a St. Bernard (he died last summer) and we also have a chihuahua. Everybody was scared of the big dog and the little one is the one that will bite.

Susan, could you be pregnant again? I had a friend who miscarried and got pregnant again with never having a period in between.

Stephanie, how was grocery shopping? Our Vons now delivers, so I am going to take advantage of that this summer instead of taking the boys with me to the store. We always wind up with so much junk when I take them:)

I am going to do a load of laundry and then take the boys swimming. Chores never endx(

Hey guys,
Haley and I just made some slime, so shes doing a "commercial" about it..shes such a hoot.
Jen and Candra-there is a just a small part of me that thinks I might be preg again, but I would think I would stop spotting if I were, ya know. My breasts are very sore, but they get very sore before af also. I serisoulsy doubt I am. Actually, it would really scare me if I were and still spotting etc. Plus, on 3 occasions I took xanax to help me sleep and Melanie warned me that is not good for preg at all! Granted I only took .5 total combined, but still. My dr did say it was very very difficult to get preg right after a m/c tough. I guess I will find something out on Thursday.

Susan, ambien (zolpidem) is safe in pg to help with sleep. Will your dr prescribe? I've taken ever since pg with last pg. :( Never have slept well. Oh well, with Ambien I sleep nightly.

Melanie, I normally don't need anything to help me sleep. Actually, I have never taken anything for sleep before. Back years ago I suffered from panic attacks and always have xanax on hand. I get a fresh rx every year but go years without taking it. I had just had 2 rough weeks and just a little xanax helps me. I took 1/4 of a .5mg. All I can do is hope that if I am preg the xanax did no hard. But, I really find it hard to believe I could be with all this going on.
Thanks for the info!

Hi Susan,
Were you still spotting when you found out you were preg? Did you go on to have a healthy pregnancy??
Susan

Well, I survived work barely. My kids smell weakness and right now are eating dark chocolate covered raisins on the couch and watching Dora. These events don't usually happen at our house right before dinner. Work was a nightmare, I really needed all of my brain cells today. Medicare is about to make a 10% cut in reimbursement, patients are scared we are going to let them go (of course we aren't) and then our lovely president, whom I usually speak about with respect, no matter how lousy it has gotten, froze the cut on Medicare and now Medicare will not be paying anything until Congress gets back from 4th of July break and agree on what to do. Like that is going to happen. So today I had to decide on how to redistribute cash flow to make this all work. This is not a job you should allow one half dead, 35 y/o pregnant woman to do. Sorry to vent.
Candra-glad to hear from you. I am 10 weeks tomorrow, so I really hope this is about it. Surely I will make another 2 weeks. sounds like you all had a good day! Do you all have your own pool?
Susan-I just wanted to put in that my cousin only became pregnant and stayed that way after having a miscarriage the month before, no bleeding except from the miscarriage. The first time it was an accident, the second I think they tried all they could to see if it would work again, and it did. I sure hope thursday you get your answers. I love the slime! We made some for a school project. Yuck!
Stephanie-sorry to hear little guy was sick, but I swear someone always is. Have a great time on the 4th, and don't worry about travel, just have a great time.
Jen-Hi!
Kate-We try and buy only organic too, but it is ridiculous how much more it is costing. The only good thing here in the summer is we have tons of farmers markets that are organic and much cheaper than the grocery store. I have my own tomatoes and herbs but everything else the **&^ deer have eaten!!!! My DS is allergic to eggs and milk, so we buy soy and egg replacer and that is so expensive.
Melanie-how was work?

Hey ladies! Hope everyone is having a good Monday. I will be scarce this week since I will be having houseguests and we're still trying to get the house together. Doing the house renovations are like working out! Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone.

What kind of fun plans does everyone have for the 4th?

Lisa
