TTC/Preg Check in June 30th

Mikkia, sorry so much is going on at work. You are an RD, right? Do you work at a hospital? When I started back to school I really considered dietetics, but my DH was very worried about me finding a job in the field. What is your take on it. Do most RD's have a Master's these days and are there many job opportunities?
I have heard many stories of women getting pregnant right after a m/c. I do not think I am now, but as soon I get my body straight, I plan to be!

The slime we made today was with glue and borax..its a non messy slime thats fun.

DD had made obstancle courses for us all day..Im pooped. We made it to the grocery to buy produce, so Im stocked up.

Hi to everyone.

Hey there. I was going to write something meaningful, but I forgot what it was, so I guess that moment was over.

Mikkia, are you hoping 12 weeks will be the cut off? Me too!!! Actually I'm feeling much better as far as fatigue goes, my iron must have kicked in. My dr's office called to say I could have labs done at my hometown, but I don't have another day off until the 18th so that won't work. They asked me what labs I wanted, I said iron & whatever other ones you would like. And she wanted me to be specific (I was at work and couldn't speak freely). Then she tried to tell me that the only thing they would do for me on the 18th was a pg test--not a prenatal of pap smear!!!!! I was like, "what!?!?!" That's so crazy. I won't have time to go back until August and I'll be like 18 weeks by then---certainly can't wait that long. Anyway, I think I talked her into doing the regular prenatal thing, geez! What's a girl to do?!?!?

We are/were extremely busy at work today, but we always are on Mondays. I look foward to putting my feet up when I get home, I barely had time to eat my salomi & cheese sandwhich (I know, I'm not suppose to eat lunchmeat).

Hey guys,
Hope everyone had a great day! The boys and I went to Target where I got some big maternity shorts. They have cute ones there, but my legs look like little white sausages. I even have knee fat and spider veins now. (I must stop talking about it because I'm wretching now.) Henry sang at the top of his lungs throughout Target whilst picking his nose like he were digging for lost treasure. I was mortified. Then we went to the grocery store, where I bribed the kids with cookies (before lunch --yes, thank you for the mother of the year award). I saved $30 with my coupons. Yey me!!! :) However, I had to buy regular apples because the produce man said that they were out of organic ones (unless, of course, I wanted to buy the $7 bag of teensie tiny ones with bird holes in them--no thanks). Apparently, the organic apples that they sell are get this OVER A YEAR OLD. They keep them in big warehouses in Chile that are climate controlled with high levels of nitrogen, which keeps them "fresh." I had NEVER heard of this before. I don't know if produce guy was blowing smoke just so I wouldn't be mad about him not having my apples, but regardless -- yuck. I was craving apples with peanut butter though, so I threw caution to the wind. Did I mention how much I detest grocery shopping??? x(

Susan--I have always heard it's very easy to get pregnant right after a mc. A good friend of mine got pregnant right after a miscarriage, against her doc's wishes, but her nurse actually was the one who gave her the tip.

Candra--I know what you mean about chores. I don't know if I'll ever catch up!!

Kate--I LOL about your dog! I always curse my dog when she vomits. She's quite pukey. The boys just look at me in horror, and I have to explain that, No, mommy really isn't going to take Maggie (our dog, not supermom) to the pound. I just hate cleaning up dog vomit. TMI??? Probably.

Hi to Lisa, Jen and everyone else!!! Have a great evening, guys!!

It feels like I haven't posted in ages--been super tired and crazy busy the last couple of days.

Dh is on his "staycation"--forwent trip to family cabin due to the insanely high gas prices, so he took the older 3 on a 12 mile hike today--for ds 13's merit badge req't. They are going on another long one tomorrow, although I have a feeling that I'll have at least one daughter who will stay at home and help. Dh said the 9yo struggled a bit.

I just found out that our son with downs can have his dental bills covered by some private foundation that covers whatever insurance doesn't, which is good, because due to serious oral tactile issues, he'll probably have to be put under for a simple cleaning, which is $$$ and I was feeling very discouraged about it, but now I'm stoked.

My workouts
CTX upper body split
40 min creep on treadmill (on an incline, though!)
30 min creep on treadmill (ditto)
heavy legs on my own with smith machine in garage
powermax--4"step and heavily modified, because I didn't jump at all

I used to be so good at doing 6 days per week even while pregnant, but I've only been doing 5 pretty consistantly. I feel guilty about this, but the business of having such a large brood is catching up with me a bit.

Melanie--I hope you get some blood work results in before August! and I may have to ask my doc about ambien. My insomnia isn't quite as bad as it has been in the past, but boy when I have it, it really wipes me out the next day. Does ambien leave you feeling drowsy the next day?

Mikkia--I know you feel like total cr*p, but your posts crack me up. I do hope you feel better soon. How far along are you?

Lisa--I hope you have a good time with your house guests.

Susan--I hope you get some information about what is going on with your body soon.

Kate--it is embarrassing how little it takes to get my heartrate up. I'm winded just climbing the stairs--not normal for me!

Stephanie--I don't like to travel whilst pregnant either. I have a fear of the airbags going off. I also tend to be more anxious about goings on at home--fire, break-ins--I'm probably not helping. The Georgia mountains sound very picturesque, however. I hope that once you get there, you can relax.

Candra--we'll probably wait until wall-e comes out on netflix. The kids want to see the new batman movie and budget requires that we havae to pick and choose. I also know for a fact that dh will want to see batman over wall-e any day of the week. (I never go to the theater--another quirk of mine:p )

Kristan--I have been more and more dialated earlier with each child and my labors have gone faster, but they are not earlier. I usually deliver one-two days after my due date. Boy I wish they would come earlier.

Jen--my kids always watch a show while I exercise (almost always, anyway). I've given up feeling guilty about it. I also feed them cookies or some sort of treat to buy workout time--time for my bad mother of the year award}( .

Hi everyone else--I gotta go, because the 3 little ones disappeared upstairs and all is verrrrrry quiet, usually not a good sign.

Maggie:)
33 weeks down, 7 to go!

Maggie-I am 10 weeks. 10 long nauseated weeks. I loved your work out, that sounds like it works everything!
Lisa-house renovations are more tiring than Cathe!
Jen-In my normal non pregnant state my kids would get up at 6 am and the deal was they could watch Higgleytown heroes and Little einsteins if i could work out in peace. Usually worked. Usually. I don't think there is anything wrong with taking your time too.
Susan-I am an RD and a RN, but right now I am doing mostly billing work. I do some diabetes teaching or run the occasional IV (we do IV therapy in the office sometimes). If I could do anything though, I would go back to pure nutritional counseling and yes, I think I would get a masters. I really enjoyed that field, but finding a good paying job outside a hospital setting can be tough.
Melanie-we must be almost the same far along. i don't see my dr again until the 16th. I hate you have to wait so long. I just don't understand healthcare these days, and I even work in it. I haven't had my lab done yet either. We have a hemaglobin machine at work so I have been keeping track. not that it's all that good, but i don't think I could take any more stomach upset with the iron right now.
Kate-My BIL has a great dane. he is the dumbest and sweetest animal ever. I would take him any day over a 10 lb yappy biter. my grandma had a toy poodle when I was young that must have bitten me 50 times!

Just real quick I read through and wanted to say

Susan~my sister has 2 girls and she got preg. both times the first month after a m/c.. no AF in between. She thinks that is what helped her stay preg. Total she had 5 m/c's and 2 dds.

Kristan~my kids don't like to come out.. lol I have had c/s's all 3 times, but Hunter was indueced 3 days after my Due date.. no dilation at all.. 24 hours in and still only 5cm.. With DD my c/s was set for 2 days after my due date and I was not dilated at all at thta point. With Landon I had a c/s 1 week early and no dilation then either.

I'll be back tomorrow w/ all the personals. Just a busy day here.

Morning!
Melanie, Im so glad you are feeling perkier. Have a great day!

I think I have finally stopped spotting..whew. I go to the dr tomorrow but won't get the results until Thursday. I am very doubtful that I am preg. You know my dr did not tell me NOT to have sex while bleeding form a m/c. I have read so much over the past few days and that is the number 1 rule. The first 2 weeks the bleeding was quite heavy and of course no sex then, but after that I did. Im lucky I didnt get an infection of some sort.
Trish-thats amazing that your sister suffered 5 m/c. Was there any particular reason?? If I hadnt been bleeding up to a day ago I would susepct a pregnancy more.
Hi Kate, Mikkia, Jen, Kristin, Stephanie (did you workout?)
