Good morning ladies!

Well, I woke up no problem at 430,...just couldn't bring myself to workout at ALL. :( I just wanted to go into a dark hole and cuddle with my kids for another hour. So I did! That will be two days in a row that I haven't worked out. I"m sure I'll be earger tomorrow.

Back to work I go this AM--another 6 day week. I sure enjoyed my 5 days off with my family. It was soooooo nice. :) I got a couple flowers in the ground too. It feels cold again outside. I'm looking forward to some mid70s, low 80s weather. I always feel so good when the sun can warm me to the bones.

I thought I'd make a little crib sheet from a week or so back, please add information if I don't have you. ;) I know I've missed a couple people & I didn't have Maggie written down so had to guess! October will be a busy month here on the boards!!!

Melanie, Your body must be sub-conciously telling you to rest! A long snuggle sounds great! the weather you want is the weather we've got! It's going to be really nice this week. PS - My due date is Oct 18.

I had a GREAT start to my morning! DDs woke up at SIX and I was so tired we all climbed into my bed. I immediatley fell back asleep. I woke up an hour later with them walking into my room. Thye were dressed like gypsies and they brought me a banana and Kashi on a tray! How sweet is that?! They also had found a box of Trix I thoght I had hid to surprise them some time and ate who-knows-how-much of that, but I find I don't really care too much right now!

Hoping for some errands and miscellaneous housekeeping today. Workout will be somewhere in there. And I have a preschool board meeting after dinner. I haven't seen those ladies in a month so I 'll get to show off my bump!!

Melanie- I am in MIssouri (MO). MS is Mississippi. Thanks for the cheat sheet. Very helpful. Look at all those October babies! I have two of them: October 18 and October 29.

Morning to all. Having an exciting am. My dd thought she would make me some soup. So she put a stytofoam cup of romen noodles in the microwave and turned it on. The black billowing smoke coming out of the kitchen prompted me to evac the house and almost call the fire department until ds said, "I don't want to eat those noodles". So then I realized it must be in the microwave, which sure enough was on fire. I put out the styrofoam and you can't believe the smell. Now that's the way to start a Monday. the microwave is ruined and dd has been crying for an hour. But on a good note, adrenaline must reverse morning sickness, because before this all happened I felt lousy and now not so bad (HA HA).
Melanie, thanks for the suggestions. Zofran did not help very much, phenergan just knocks me flat and reglan believe it or not is the best but dh does not like that drug when pregnant (could you give me your professional opinion on that one?). I have tried everything else there is, including accupuncture. Some women are just lucky I guess. It will pass, it will just take about 4 more weeks. The good news is I am not growing out of my clothes yet}( .
Kate-Have a great day and your kids sound so sweet. Tell them to stay away from the microwave!!
Hi to everyone that follows!

Oh and I forgot, I am in Texas for the cheatsheet. My Jan. 20th due date is iffy too, because of csection. Jan 20 seems ages from now.

Good Morning!
Melanie, so glad you enjoyed your 5 days with the kids. Have a good work week! OH, and I have a DD not DS.
Kate my DD is always up early..but luckily we are all early risers. Have a good day!
Kristin I am one state over from you in ARk. Is it as hot and humid there in MO??
Im not sure what workout Im going to do today, but I will be doing it in an hour, so I will have to report back.
Not many plans today. Hanging out with dd, doing chores, running errands boring stuff.
Hi to everyone!
Susan

Hey Mikkia, seems like we always post at the same time! Yikes on the fire! Glad you are feeling better though!

just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone!! i am lonely here in postpartum world - no one to check in with!

melanie, that was a great cheat sheet for me to just see who is here. i have lost track in the last week. it is nice you are due in january - you will be off the roads. i am sorry for your housing woes, but agree with another poster - another door WILL open for you, i am sure. thoughts and prayers your way!

glad everyone else seems so well.

kristan, you are getting close - are you planning a c-section or vbac?

i am obeying dr's orders - lots and lots of walking, no weights, YET! i feel great and am happily buttoning some of my pants, and 1 pair of shorts 1 size bigger than i wear. it will happen, slowly:) aidan is a champion nurser, and he is sleeping well for his size. we feed every 3 hrs minimum, but i still feel great! today he has a weight check. dh is hoping for 5lbs - i think high 4's. have a rgeat day everyone!

Hello Kristan!

Mikkia, Too freaky on the micro! Yikes! Glad you're feeling good though! Your poor daughter! Give her a hug from me!

Susan, Sounds like you and DD are very close - that is so nice. Have a nice day. Go out to lunch somewhere outdoors!

Morris, So glad your little guy is doing so well and you sound so upbeat. No PPD? I get it awful but hoping not to this time around. I'm sure your days are flying by! (((big hugs)))

I just finished 4DS double cardio minus the blasts from HIS- sweaty fun! Need to get busy on my day now.

bbl

Workout done. 4DS legs,bi/tris. Felt great! Will try and get a power walk in tonight when it cools down.

Kate- DD and I are very close. She is a mama's girl for sure. I wish we could eat outdoors today, but the minute you walk outside you sweat..its just too humid! The high is only 91 today though.

DD is setting up a "store" in her room, so I guess I will be shopping shortly!

Morris, so glad your are feeling good. Im so happy things are going so well for you!

hi ladies-
to answer your questions from yesterday-my babies were all pretty big.
the 1st was 8lbs 4 oz
2nd was 9 lbs.2 oz.
3rd was 9 lbs.4 oz.
nope never had gestational diabetes.
Kate-labor definitely got easier with each baby-the first was about 12 hrs. 2nd was about 2-3 hrs.the 3rd after about 8 min. of pushing he was out with only about 1 hr of intense contractions!

Hi again!
Morris- so glad everything is going good! congrats on getting back in some of your clothes. that always feels good!
Susan-your dd has such a good imagination! Sorry to hear its so hot.
Kate-did you have ppd with your girls?
Hi Kristan!

Hi guys,
Melanie-I was so sorry to hear that the potential buyers passed on your house. I know how stressful it can be waiting for your house to sell. When we sold our house in Kentucky, it was a TERRIBLE market there. Many many houses were going to auction. Luckily, we sold it to out-of-state buyers who saw it on the Web site. No one locally was interested. Sounds like your realtor is partly to blame too.

Morris-I am so glad Aidan is nursing well and sleeping well. You sound like you are bouncing back wonderfully. One size bigger is really really good. I'd be SOOOO happy with those results, though I know mine will not be that good. :( Keep up the good work!!!

Kate--Your morning sounds great! I love that your girls brought you breakfast in bed. How sweet! I was lucky my kiddos slept until 9.

Lorren-Wow, you had big babies! My oldest was 8 lbs 6 oz, and I loved that he was that big and didn't feel so fragile --since he was my first. Henry was a little smaller (7 lb, 13 oz).

Kristan--I am SO excited about having an October baby. I had hoped my other DSs would be October babies, but it didn't work out that way. They are December babies (and boy is that an expensive month now!!:) ). The fall is my favorite time of the year, so I'm excited.

Mikkia--I'm so sorry for your microwave trauma! I hope things have calmed down around there. :)

Susan--I hope you're feeling better. I think that boring days are the best days, by the way. We are having one of those today. :)

------
Well, I didn't post this weekend because we were out and about SO much. Friday I had lunch with my mom/sis and uncle from out of town and then went shopping with my sister and her kids. Saturday we had swim lessons and dinner with my folks and then yesterday a cookout with DHs boss's family. BUSY weekend. I'm still recovering. But it also was a really sad weekend. I am SO sad about the death of Tim Russert. I've cried about it all weekend (thanks in part to hormones). He was my journalism icon (I'm a former journalist and a total political junkie). I cannot tell you how much joy Meet the Press brought me every Sunday. It's the reason we ran late for church so often. Anyway, on a lighter note: today I have nothing planned!! A boring day indeed. :) Tomorrow is my second ultrasound to see if the baby's cyst has disappeared and my glucose screening. I sure hope I don't have gestational diabetes because I'd hate to give up my maltball addiction (new craving). :) Hope you all have a great day!

Wow. Lot going on.

Mikkia, I believe Reglan is category B in pregnancy, I'll look it up and get some more information though. Is you DH an MD? Close call on micro fire! Eccckkkk!!

Morris, so happy to see you on boards. Good job with your pants. After I had my last baby I didn't lose even 1 lb for a week!!!! You'll be in your regular pants before you know it. I'm so happy about the nursing too, big plus!

Hi everyone else. Thanks for the corrections on crib sheet. I had them all lined up too, but didn't show up in post. Oh well.

We have a showing on our house Thursday. :)

Morris- I will join you soon enough. I have a c/s scheduled for July 7, but I am hoping for another VBAC. I think I'll go into labor before 7-7. I have a size/fluid/etc. ultrasound scheduled for Thursday and my first "check". I am calling crazy accupuncture dude today as well. So glad your man is growing and nursing well. Glad you're up and about too.

Stephanie- Maltballs gross me out. Totally. Anyway, I went to U. of Missouri School of Journalism (I am a lawyer now) and have lots of writer friends. Do you work anymore or do freelance? That seems like the best of both worlds.

Susan- it's always hot in Missouri! For work, I go to some parts of the state that are just miles from Arkansas (Poplar Bluff, etc). I have good friends in Little Rock and my husband's cousin opened a new restaurant in Little Rock that is doing very well.

Mikkia- I am cracking up about your microwave story. Not that it's funny; I am actually impressed by your level headedness during the ordeal.

Jen- how did your tick scare turn out? I think I am fine, but it's something we'll keep an eye on. Ob warned me to watch out for malaise; although we agree that there's always some malaise for a 38 week pregnant woman.

Kate- I cannot get my kids to sleep the right way. My older daughters (7 and 5) wouldn't wake up this morning, but the 2 yo boy was up at 6. Would have preferred the inverse. Junk cereals are staple items at our house (mostly for my husband)- cocoa cripies, trix, frosted flakes, etc. I myself have lost my appetite for most stuff. I am craving red meat and cereal though.

Susan, Yeah, that is too hot for eating outside! Have fun "shopping"!

Mikkia, With the first it was manageable and lasted about 2 weeks. With the second I sobbed uncontrollably just about all day long. It lasted for 6 weeks! I think that was the reason it took so long to decide to have a third! LOL! Poor Dh doesn't want to go thru that again! Me either!

Stephanie, HOW ON EARTH do you get your boys to sleep til NINE!?!?! I am green with envy!:) We'll be waiting to hear how your appt goes - youmust be on pins & needles. GD would be a nightmare for sure! About once a month I um, borrow, a malt ball from the grocery store!

Melanie, Good luck with the house!

Kristan, I've been wanting red meat this pg too. Must be craving the iron. The sugar cereals make me really queasy, thank goodness! Makes it easy to stay away from them!

-----------

I had to go into the main office to do a couple of quick things. Then we stopped and had lunch and did our grocery shopping. DDs are playing in their sandpit now - naps soon I hope!

Kate, are you currently taking anything for depression? You don't have to answer, if too personal. The important thing is you realize your predisposition & can nip it right away if it happens again. ;)

Just got home from work, kids are dressed up in spiderman outfits right now jumping off stairs, groceries waiting to be put up, and here I sit on the computer...
Melanie-Yes DH is a MD, not always helpful in certain situations. He doesn't like me taking any drugs during pregnancy, not that I do, or anyone does, but sometimes you don't have a choice.
Kate-PPD is nothing to look forward to, but knowing what to be prepared for surely must help you deal with it. I hope you miss out on it completely this time.
Stephanie- I loved Tim Russert too. And Tom Brokaw, and now I won't ever have to watch NBC again for news. Tim Russert was a true professional. Was your journalism career very exciting??
Kristan-Hope you are doing ok today, you are almost there!
If I forgot anyone, I'm sorry.
Its 98 outside right now, maybe I can convince the kids to watch a movie instead of the pool?

Mikkia--98 degrees? Wow, I think we're in the 60s. Want to swap a vacation? Ha ha. As a pharmacist I've had many MD wives come to me for pharmaceutical counseling and advice. I sometimes feel strange, wondering why they just don't ask their spouses, but they say something like, "I don't talk to my husband about stuff like this.". I totally understand, we all need breaks. Sometimes it's hard for docs to "doctor" their own family. My brother is a pediatrician and he is very short with his wife medically.

I don't know who Tim Russert is. I don't watch tv at all, and just about 6 months ago looked at a political compaign and asked my husband, "Is there a black guy running for president?" He said, "I don't know". That's how completely ignorant we are of news reports!!!!! It's just so darn depressing!!

Melanie~I agree w/ Kate that your body is just telling you to rest. LOL at you and your dh. I follow politics and I told dh I needed to back off because it gets me all fired up sometimes. I wish I could be clueless about it sometimes.

Kate~I agree it's good too know ahead of time about the ppd. I wonder if there are natural alternatieves you can do ahead of time. I know it's such a serius thing to deal with. ((hugs))

Mikkia~oh my goodness.. I would have freaked out! That stinks it ruined your microwave though. ugh

Morris~glad you checked in. Soon you'll have some pp mommies to join you! Glad to hear you are listening to the dr. How is your insision healing?

Stehpanie~good luck at your appt. tomorrow. I pray that the cyst is gone and no GD. Yummy malt balls!! I was upset w/ Russert dying as well. So sudden and shocking. He was a great great guy!

Susan~did you get your workout in? What did you decide on?

Kristan~wow July 7th is so soon! 3 weeks!! I have stubbon babies and I had my dd's c/s set for 2 days after my due date and she still didn't come so I had the c/s. I hope your wee one decides to come before the 7th so you can have a vbac.

Lorren~wow those are some big babies.. mine were 9lb2oz(4 days late), 8lb 4oz (2 days late), 8lb10oz (1 week early) I never had GD either.

Well today was another rough day. I am glad I have my appt. and u/s on Monday so I can have htem check my lower right side.. I have no idea what the pain is from, but it is only when I am running. I ended up walking 4 miles this morning and then doing some upper body weights and some lunges and squats. I didn't feel like doing an organzied video.. lol I hope to get a walk in later when Hunter has karate, but it's pouring rain so we might have to go to Walmart instead while he's at karate.
