TTC/Preg Check in June 16th

I'll have a C/s too. My babes always come early, even with scheduled c/s I end up going into labor. My last one was under 6lbs, so I was hoping he woulda stayed in there a little longer. I'm imagining a mid-Jan baby-----which is really long away for this tired and nauseated mama.

Ughhh....I just lost a good long post!!!

I"ll hit the high points.

Trish,yes I did workout..I did 4DS legs/bis/tris. I will try and powerwalk tonight.

Mikkia-how long did you wait to ttc after your m/c? My dr says go ahead and start trying because it might take up to 6 months, but I might take one month off just to be ont he safe side.

DD and I are headed to the grocery store.

Melanie, Not too personal! I don't take anything for depression. I'm not a depressed person at all which is why the PPD just FREAKS me and DH out so much. I'm looking into some natural alternatives for after this baby is born becuase I *really* do not want to go thru that again. ....Your nausea and fatigue will pass soon.. ((hugs)) A bathc of your muffins just came out od the oven - I'm waiting for them to cool a bit to try one.

Mikkia, Sounds like a busy place at your house! Push for the movie and you can take a nap! I slept for over an hour with DDs today - it was wonderful!

Trish, I wish I could just do my own routine sometimes but I totally lose concentration without a dvd to follow.

Susan, Some real shopping now, huh?!:)
Just checked out your p.trail - what a beauty your little girl is!!! You and your hubby make a handsome couple too! Thanks so much for taking the time to post that! I'll post a pic agian soon too.
 
Hi everyone!!

I had a busy weekend so I never checked in. This a.m. I had my ob appt. Everything is going good and I only gained 2 lbs last month. I was so excited. Talking about big babies my first was 8lbs 8oz and my second was 10 lbs 9oz. I never had gd either. They were both a week overdue. The day b/f I went in to labor with ds2 my doctor told me there was no way I was having a baby over 8lbs he was so wrong.

Melanie, I hope the showing goes well on Thursday. I feel bad for you having to work with morning sickness:-(

Stephanie, let us know how the doctor's appt goes. I hope the cyst is gone.

Kristan, how exciting you are getting so close:) I can't remember, do you know what you are having?

Trish, good for you getting your 4 miles in.

Kate, I can't wait to find out how hypnobirthing works out for you. I am to chicken I need drugs and I am not afraid to admit that. I told my doctor he didn't even need to come to the birth I just need the epidural.

It is so hot here. It is supposed to be over 100 for the whole week. Luckily we just filled our pool but we still have to wait a few days until the chemicals adjust. I don't care how much upkeep it is to have a pool it is so worth it. It keeps my boys entertained all day and they sleep so good at night. Now we just have to landscape the rest of the yard:eek:

Candra, goodness girl! You DO make 'em big! LOL on your doc's comment! I'm a drug-free kinda gal so as wonderful as my previous labors were, hypnobirthing is right up my alley! You make owning a pool sound so wonderful but I am really glad to be able to drive 10 min to the inlaws and use theirs! They even have a little pool house with a kitchenette. We are the only ones who use it. Ever. I have never seen my in-laws swim in there. Crazy! They use baking powder to sanitize their pool...not sure on the amount though. The water always looks/feels great!
 
Kate---just the pharmacist speaking here---put those "naturals" sometimes are more dangerous than Rxs---be careful!!! :)

Candra---do you have them babes naturally? Ouch!!!! Congrats on your 1st appt, mines not for another month. I'll have to have an u/s too b/c DH & I cannot agree on the week that the "blessed" event happened. I wasn't keeping track,... Did your dr schedule an u/s?

Kate--My kiddos have been going to bed late this summer. I haven't been able to settle them down until 9 or so at night. And they had a really busy day yesterday, which made them sleep late. Yey!!

Melanie--I am still in shock that you don't know who Tim Russert was. I am compiling a list of pop-culture icons and sending it to you as we speak (kidding) :)

Mikkia--Journalism was great. I worked at a small newspaper for several years and then at a faculty newspaper at a research university for several years. I loved it, but I'm glad to not be doing it anymore. The newspaper was very long hours, countless ridiculous meetings and extremely low pay. The faculty newspaper was fascinating. I learned a lot about research, but I had to deal with quite a few egos (from people with WAY too many letters following their names). :)

Trish--I'm sorry you had a rough day. I hope that the pain lets up on your side. I wonder if it's from ligaments that you don't use until you run?

Candra--I am so jealous of your pool!! Hope you guys enjoy it this week!

Steph--I will be praying for you and your wee-one that the u/s shows COMPLETE clearing of the cyst. We had a scare w/our 2nd pg,...where we were told we were at increased risk of having a downs baby. Of course, he was perfect (a little high maintenance ;) compared to others)---it robbed us so much of our pg---the worry and all.

I just finished cardio with weights. Thought I'd share. ds was sleeping and I thought that dd was watching a movie. What she was really doing was making me a smoothie. With 8 peaches and a garlic press. I won't elaborate. That child will be the death of me.
Kate-Please tell me your girls do things like this too, please!!!
Stephanie-I am so sorry I forgot to say good luck for tomorrow. Just so you can go back to enjoying your pregnancy, and not worrying.
Trish-Is it broad ligament pain or is it different? I hope it goes away!
Candra-Hope all is well with you all.
Melanie-DH is usually a really good doc/husband but when it comes to all pregnancy related items or children under 3 months, it like he just can't cope.
Susan- we started trying right away again. I got pregnant July 2006 and miscarried, then again in September 2007 and miscarried, and April 2008 and ?. On Sunday I will be 9 weeks and that will be as long as I've ever made it, miscarriage wise.
One other quick question-did anyone have a really dry mouth in the beginning? I don't remember that with the others, but wow, do I have it this time!
 
Melanie- yes I have them naturally. I never felt a thing with the epidural:) I had my us 3 weeks ago. They told me I was having a girl. I couldn't see anything so I went to babysightings for a gender us and this baby is definitely a boy! My last pg they told me I was having a girl also. 12 weeks later I had a 3D and my little girl was a boy!

Kate- how nice to have free use of your inlaws pool and the kitchenette. Everyone in my family comes and uses our pool. I have never heard of baking soda to treat the water.

Stephanie- thanks for the link I am going to check it out. I know what you mean about spending too much. I have been doing a lot of that lately. Online shopping is evil:)

Candra, YIKES on the gender swapping!! That would send my head reeling!
 
wow 10 lbs. 9 oz! i wonder if its common for babies to get bigger each time...mine sure did!
i always thought it would be nice to have a 7 lbs baby-thn they look like babies longer than 2 weeks!
 
You ladies are hard to keep up with! I just wanted to drop in and say hello. I've been eating horrible today. Let's not even mention what kind of junks went in my mouth, but tomorrow I'm going to turn a new leaf.

Hi Morris!! Sounds like things are going well and you're healing quickly! Keep us posted on Aidan's weight gain!

I'll be back for better personals later. I'm working and feeling really overwhelmed so decided to take a break and check-in. I better get back to work though. We're hoping to take the kids to the beach this afternoon. It is quite muggy here.
